It's not the first movie I think of when I think greatest ever. And what the fuck is up with Dorothy not being arrested for manslaughter? Sure she didn't mean to drop the house on that witch but come on man, she killed her. Then the Munchkin's reward her by letting her steal the witch's shoes and dance down a yellow brick road after giving her giant fucking lollipops. And that poor other witch, not only does she watch her sister die but she has to live with monkey people and melt at the end.

What genre are we talking? I don't think I can make any claim as to what the greatest movie is without knowing the genre. Way to many good movies.

Also why don't you give a reason as to why you think it is the greatest movie ever instead of just putting up a picture.

Yeah I'd really like a lot more then just a picture dude.... Wizard Of Oz is obviously a classic though, but man, Fuji just made me think of it completely differently... that's one fucked up movie.

Get on it, dude.

I wouldn't say this the "GOAT" but it's certainly a classic to say the least.

It's virtually impossible to determine what the greatest movie of all time is, because everyone's tastes vary so greatly. I think John Carpenter's The Thing is my all time favourite film, but its not the GOAT by far. A short list of films that I think belong in that discussion are...

Grand Illusion
Citizen Kane
The Bicycle Thieves
The Godfather
The Rules of the Game
The Searchers
The Seven Samurai
Bonnie and Clyde
Psycho
Chinatown
Singin' in the Rain

I have never watched Wizard of Oz either. I never had the desire to want to watch it.
