I agree with the first three, the personalities they portrayed and the history they have in their careers practically spanning half a century for all of them..

They have starred in the greatest and most memorable films in the modern era, and they have done a better job than anyone.

They are folklore..

I mean al pacino, robert de niro, and jack nicholson, what did they NOT do in their long careers...

Sure there may be people who you think were better and more versatile in acting them selves, but the history, legacy, and quality of all these men is amazing, and they are some of the best actors them selves ever.

The holy trilogy, guys like brando fall short imo because the legacy is not as complete.

I can remember the 90's like the swan song of all those great actors, de niro and pacino starring in HEAT..scent of a women, casino, goodfellas, as good as it gets, the devils advocate..

Too good.:pity1:

what would ur list be based on history, legacy, performances..

Kevin SPacey is one of my favorites too, candidate for best actor of the 90's.

Don't know much about actors or movies in general but Jack Nicholson does indeed rule.

The fact that Tom Hanks isn't number one just debunks the entire list. In fact he's not even in the top 10.

Slightly bugs me that James Dean isn't higher tbh, I know he had a very short career but watch him in Giant as Jett and tell me you aren't amazed he's such a young man in the role.

I like the list. Harris could be higher yes but I like how the top ten looks.

I'm just waiting for the "OMG WHY NO HEATH LEDGER HIS JOKER WAS AWESOME!" people to find this list and debunk it.

Not loaded up the list but what is the position of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. He's the greatest. Obviously.

Tom Hanks is one of the candidates for best actor of the 90's other than that he has no significant history in the 80's or 2000's cant even be closed to be considered an all time great like mr pacino.
