I think everyone has been doing good with the way they been building character. I would like to see more people move away from doing promos at the arena for promos. Those are things you would do as segments on the shows you can write for yourself to further advance your character, or do actual promos about your match, or advance your angles, or anything of that sort. I figured with my experience I could impart that knowledge to help make people better and help enrich the product and your character building. As well as AMA world-building.
I would be super willing to help anyone review their promos if they want it. Me personally, I have my own reserves about my own promos and feel super out of practice. And, I'm trying to find the groove for his gimmick and I have in my mind how I wanna move away from the Savior gimmick as I started it briefly in PWF back in 2012 and the idea hit me based on how I was being brought in to even out the war against the Establishment. I did a Chosen/Prophecy gimmick in 2005 and it worked. I had a lot of success with that gimmick in terms of working. But, I don't wanna rehash the gimmick. I am still trying to figure out to move into this character. I asked smark privately tonight about running it past him. I am trying to I guess put a feeler out to everyone to provide me feedback on what I am doing in the limited view of my promos, and character.
I figured always the best story, the best way to do things of this nature is you seek the collective creative minds that you are around. Everyone does in fact thrive off everyone when there is more of that and less of what I and smark have experienced in previous editions of PWF/feds. I can say he is right though when he said this is the first time in a long fucking time that a fed he is running where everyone is doing this with the idea of fun for something he is running. And, I am willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that stays the case.
That's why I am glad to give people like Raddioken (I think I misspelled that) the nickname "Radio" Raddioken. It occurred to me to give him that nickname with how brash and cocky. Hence the "Radio" name because he broadcast his greatness etc like through a transmission or radio. And it rhymes with his name. If he comes back I would love to see him run with it. It's why when I had a chance to enhance a segment I try to. So, the length of it, if anyone wants to bounce shit off me and ask me for an opinion. I'm here for it. My inbox is open. I do have discord if that is another way you want to hit me. After all, we could all teach each other new shit. An old dog like me isn't ever opposed to being better as a writer. Cause what you don't know about me is I AM VERY self-critical of my own work and feel like I am still not good. I also think highly of my abilities too. Which, sometimes can blind me from thinking something is good when it really isn't.
So, yeah. I feel like especially I am not doing the gimmick justice currently. So. yep.
Also, I do another thing with my character, and again, not saying anyone has to do it. I try to give things that can be used against me that would bring a response out the character. To give him flaws. Things people can use against me if the time permits it. Like, what smark did with the Kevin character and used him against me in the cycle.,
The name Steven. I made him personally hate that name and being called it to be used against him. Another flaw I don't know if people have picked up on, is that when he fails at something (considering he considers himself something of a last of a dying breed/prideful character) which has been a staple of his is a character flaw. Short-sighted goals. Being wrapped up in himself. His glory. So, I think that is another tip I could Impart to others.
