PWInsider.com reached out to EC3 yesterday for comment. This afternoon, he issued the following statement via email:

“In life, I forgive everyone for everything that has been done to me.

I personally have never failed a drug test from any employer, nor been arrested for drug usage, paraphernalia, assault, battery, or any inappropriate behavior.

My forgiveness includes Patrick Clark for setting up a video recording device in the bathroom of my home.

As far as any other accusations and allegations against him, I hope that he finds the help he needs.”

WWE reportedly has no interest in bringing back The Velveteen Dream, and new details are being revealed on the heat he had while he was there.

As we’ve noted, Dream was arrested twice in August on multiple charges, and then it was revealed that he was arrested for cocaine possession and destroying evidence back in November 2021, an arrest that was just made public.

Dream was just released from jail on Tuesday of this week, but he has court dates ahead and is facing potential prison time. While he’s recently campaigned for a WWE return, a new report from Fightful Select notes that WWE officials had no desire to bring Dream back, and that was before the recent arrests, and before the 2021 arrest was made public.

A WWE source said Dream would be a “public relations nightmare” that the new regime isn’t interested in.

Dream has had a recent war of words & accusations with EC3, which you can read about at this link. Dream admitting to cocaine use is interesting as this was rumored to be the reason he was suspended during his WWE NXT run.

It was noted that by the time Dream stopped appearing on NXT TV, he had significant heat within the NXT locker room. In addition to that, he’d become what one WWE Coach said was a “headache,” and was reportedly talked to several times about unusual behavior in general at the Performance Center.

Around that time, in August 2020, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H noted in an interview that Dream was off WWE TV due to a car accident, not an internal investigation on misconduct allegations. This new report from Fightful says it’s been confirmed that as soon as an hour before word of Dream’s car accident making the rounds in June 2020, he was being discussed as one of many possible cuts from the company. Dreamed returned to TV that August and was around until the December 23 NXT episode, where he took a loss to Adam Cole in his final appearance. WWE then released him from his contract on May 20, 2021.

There’s been no word on why WWE decided against releasing Dream at that point, before the more than five months of inactivity. These aforementioned issues were not the first problems with Dream as he was faced with other legal issues and misconduct allegations.

A WWE source that works directly with higher-ups said it would take a “miracle” for a situation to arise where WWE re-hired Dream. It was also confirmed that despite some of his social media teasers, there have been no plans or discussions to bring him back under the new regime.​

EC3 recently spoke with Sportskeeda about the controversial Velveteen Dream, which included the CYN creator responding to Dream’s claims that he was too drunk at the infamous NXT party the threw many years ago, the same party that EC3 accused Dream of setting up his phone to film people using the bathroom. Says WWE employees thanked him for revealing the bathroom story as it assured that Dream would never return to the company:

“What else could I possibly even say or bother to address? It’s done. He recorded people trying to urinate in my bathroom. That’s the truth. You asked me a question regarding this man who I haven’t thought about in many years, and that story came to mind. WWE employees thanked me for telling that story out loud, so there is no thought of bringing him back to the company from those said employees.”

Denies that he was too drunk to remember anything that night:

“No, I was a hundred percent sharp that night because no matter how much alcohol you have in life you do not forget the fact you walk into a restroom to see a camera recording looking directly at the toilet. So, no, there was no cloudiness about that, and all the accusations of confusion about who he was and, ‘We’re not friends. It’s childish banter, it’s very unfortunate, and I’m very sorry he’s going through such a hard time, especially with the law and obvious drug issues that he was arrested for.”​

I mean...maybe but now it sounds like he's backtracking when he originally said he was sober, no? unless I misunderstood but I think he claimed to not do drugs OR alcohol lmao

It was Dream who called him pissy ass drunk in the video I believe, but I have no idea why EC3 said the 'no matter how much alcohol you have' because it makes it sound like he was drunk even though just before that he says he was 100% sharp.

I dunno, the way he's skirting around all this makes me highly suspect of him.

Battery and trespassing charges against Patrick Clark (FKA Velveteen Dream) may have been dropped.

Clark was arrested on August 20 after allegedly punching an employee of the Club Orlando fitness center. He was scheduled to appear in court on September 28 but according to a report from PW Insider, court records indicate the date has been canceled. No other court date for the case is listed which could mean the charges have been dropped.

According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Clark became "irate and argumentative" with the gym employee after he was asked to leave an area of the fitness center that was closed for cleaning. Clark is also alleged to have made death threats toward the employee before punching him in the face. A fight between Clark and the employee ensued and Clark is alleged to have bitten the employee during the melee. Police observed a bite mark on the employee's chest.

Through his attorney, Clark submitted a written plea of "not guilty" to the charges. He was then arrested for violation of his parole on August 26.

Velveteen Dream court date canceled, battery & trespassing case potentially dropped

A scheduled court date for September 28 has been canceled.
