First ever sig? Wow. I love it, I love the background and the position of the renders is excellent. I can't think of anything bad about this and if this is only your 1st sig, the rest are going to be pretty special 9/10

That is really good for a first attempt. Perfect choice of background for RVD as it works so well with his character and style. Not too keen on the colours of the text but that is a minor issue, everything else is great.

Just a couple of things for future reference:

1. The colour scheme is a bit out of control. Apart from shades of black and white you should only use two other colours to control the visuals. Gradient maps are a life saver for me.

2. I know this is your first attempt, but I've never been fond of sigs where the background demands more focus and attention than your render (RVD in this case). Try reading some full sig tutorials to get a grasp on how to make the render flow with the background in a more professional manner.

What I do like is the border and text in the top corner. Subtle yet noticeable, I like that.
