Not watching the Netherlands game, but yea, against Germany they had no structure at all. Everyone was free flowing, which resulted in easy counters for Germany. Luiz and Alves especially both play more like attackers than defenders and kill the team in doing so.A few players made the overral effort look better, but there are guys like David Luiz that just aren't playing their role right, there is always a free Dutch player on our territory, that's unexcusable.
Is there any incentive to win the 3rd place game? I've always sort of wondered why they bother having it. Does the 3rd place team really go home any happier than the 4th place team?
Van Gaal (Holland coach) said "who wants to play for third place?" earlier today. Then he realized he could snub Brazil on a medal in Brazil and said "Obviously we are winning".Is there any incentive to win the 3rd place game? It depends on who's playing. This year with Brazil and Holland may feel a bit worthless because both were real title contenders. When there's smaller teams like in 94 when Sweden beat Bulgaria or in 98 when Croatia won or in 2002 when Turkey beat South Korea teams might go for it more but when there is bigger teams who feel like they should be in the final you get the feeling that they don't care.Is there any incentive to win the 3rd place game?
