Alright so instead of asking you guys the easy question of favourite film, I thought it'd be more fun to discuss your favourite movie genre. It could be a hybrid of two genres ie Horror/Comedy like Zombieland, or just a single genre.

For me, Comedy has always been my favourite genre. I will laugh at obscure things, and I like a lot of Adam Sandler films, even his cheesey new ones. I just guess Comedy is something that makes me happy, which is why I watch it.

My favourite genres are action and comedy as well as drama. Sometimes you can just sit back and watch a film which takes your mind away from everything. Other times you can be sitting there watching a WWE produced film and think 'Creative are now making films?!' My favourite film Forest Gump encompasses action, comedy and drama. I specifically like films that tell a story, something that not only you but everyone watching can relate to in one way or another. Since the 00's film quality has dwindled significantly.

Although I grew up on horror movies, I would rather watch comedies and action films.

I'll usually enjoy a comedy with lots of cheap laughs or a action movie with lots of explosions no matter how bad the experts say it lacks direction or actually story, and usually that's the case, but I still enjoy it.

"Intelligent" action films, movies with a message or which concern relevant issues, and animation. But I really watch a bit of everything - I can be watching a cheesy sports comedy one minute and an indie film the next. The only genres that really don't sit with me are rom-coms, gross-outs (I've outgrown them, used to like them as a teen) and torture porn. Other than that, everything's fair game, as long as it's well made and entertaining - from big dumb action movies to quiet foreign dramas.

I too love a good horror/comedy. That may be my favorite genre. My favorites include Hatchet, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Severance, Shaun of the Dead, FEAST, Army of Darkness and Zombieland among others. Horror is always one of my favorites but I haven't seen any good ones recently. I like dark dramas as well. We need to talk about Kevin was an amazing movie. Other than that, I always love a good sci-fi. Comedy's that really make me laugh are hard to come by. I'm so used to stand up comedy that regular comedy kind of just bores me. I do like well written comedies though. Horrible Bosses is one of my favorites for some reason. It's not all that funny but I watch every time it's on tv.

I am all over the place, but Zomedies(comedies with zombies) would have to be my favorite. Grave Mistake, Fido, Juan of the Dead, & Plagua Zombie would all rank at the top of the list.

Asides from those, I tend to like alot of independant cinema(hence the name), and cant wait for Beyond the Black Rainbow to play at my local theatre next week.

Basically what deezy said due to the lack of good horrors nowdays.

My fave film is Sin City though and IDK what genre that would come under.

Horror all the way, but I'll get into sci fi and indie flicks when a really good one comes out.

For some strange reason I've never found one horror movie I've watched remotely scary...

Neither have I, but I enjoy practical special effects and the best ones are always found in the horror genre. Then you always have the benefit of horror movies tend to make dates more intimate.
