We all have our favorite tv shows. Some are funny, dramatic, suspenseful, etc. My favorite sitcom would have to be Friends. My brother (#HEEL) and I watched it together and it was funny show. Overall, my favorite show would have to be Prison Break. If you haven't seen it then you should check it out! Its filled with suspense and keeps you thinking through the entire show. Other shows that I enjoy are That 70's Show, How I Met Your Mother, The O.C., Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and some more that I can't think of at the moment. What are your favorite tv shows?

Television sucks.

And since Troy coerced me into it, here is why.....

Basically every show on television today doesn't have enough going for it to hold my interest long enough for me to want to devote time enough to watch an entire season. I am more a movie guy, and appreciate my stories being 1.5 to 3 hours in length and being done. While I realize there are actually quality programs on television, the fact that they just keep going and going kind of bugs me. I love watching old re-runs of Three's Company, Taxi, M*A*S*H, The Fall Guy, Married...with Children, All in the Family, etc., but I find that none of the shows today really match up to them.

To further expand on this point, I am not a big fan of the lack of moral fiber in television programming today. Back in the good old days, a show like All in the Family could be comedic and also enlighten the audience with compelling social commentary. Now those moral tales are gone, and I highly doubt they'll be back any time soon.

Right now? Big Bang Theory & Walking Dead and that's it really, although I am a fan of Hawaii 5-0 and Sons of Anarchy too.

That's a really good point of view and if it were anywhere between 2-3 years ago than I would definitely have to agree with you, as I had not been exposed to a couple of my now favourite shows. While I do agree that some shows can't keep a story going, there are also those that are able to build a story over all the episodes and end it at the climax and those are also the shows that have been mentioned so far. Sons of Anarchy and Dexter are two that I can think of off of the top of my head.

What I am saying is, while it might be your point of view, the way you explained it sounds like you focus on the negative shows, the shows that are nothing but endless innuendo and while I do agree that the shows I have mentioned share that, they also have that entertainment value, that I just don't think you can find in movies if you ever find one that you want them to expand on. For some shows, the end of the series is like the end of a story, of a chapter per say and they can build on what they have had in that chapter to create something bigger and better.

That being said, you're last point is totally true, for most of the part, people are mostly sent into laughing fits by constant innuendo that sometimes is not as funny as it should be. Some of it can just be counted as sickening.

Oh and while I am here:

Dexter:
I love this show so much, I tend to like shows where the main character commentates on what is happening. Dexter is just a character that I have fallen in love with and the show just flows so well that, other than the first season, they manage to build the show, even if they do rush it later in the series.

Burn Notice:
I have an unhealthy obsession with this show because well, the overall premise is something I like. While like Dexter, it adds a sense of comedy that could get lost on some people.

Big Bang Theory:
Yeah, I myself am someone who enjoys this show even though I am not the biggest fan of some sitcoms. I can just relate so well.

Sons of Anarchy:
'Nuff said.
