I don't know what made this pop in my head. But what's your favorite gimmick that just never panned out or went anywhere.

I can see the Zeke Elias things going nowhere right now.

But I think my absolute would be the Sean O'Haire gimmick

Lord Tensai always the first thing that comes to mind. I feel like the whole thing had a lot of promise if it had been thought out better, I was pretty interested at the start.

The sad thing about Retribution is they had all the talent in the world and just a horrible booking and look take away the look say Ali, Dijack, Yim, Maddin, Throne came in as themselves 100% better

I actually wholeheartedly and unironically agree. Retribution was a good gimmick and was oozing with talent. They just ended up not doing cool stuff with them and gave them bad nicknames and it was over

That was such a sad waste and the whole Ali being the guy behind the computer and apparently in charge of the faction. Like who the hell wrote that and thought it'd ever work.

Another that comes to mind for me is Malikai? I think that was the name like the guy that was supposed to feud with Taker I think it was Kevin Thorne I think the gimmick had potential or at least the storyline.
