    Chris It's me, it's me

I cam also forgive them using the injured body part for their finish but if the match is ending after that move anyway then theres no excuse to not sell it like crazy while making the cover or something

Quarter Final Match: Mark Andrews vs. Drew Gulak
Drew uses his strength advantage to wear Mark down, but Mark uses speed and athletism to counter. But Mark keeps trying to get flashy with moves or just flips to set up something basic, but Drew shuts him down every time with a stiff slap or forearm. Drew targets the arm and gets super nasty with wristlocks and hammerlock holds, Mark barley sells any of it so fuck him. He does have a nice comeback, and strings together come nice high-risk moves but still fuck him. They go back and forth trading strikes, Mark has awful punches and chops he makes comeback 02-09 Shawn look like a brawler with his bad his look. He does hit this awesome 'rana from the middle rope to the floor with Drew standing on the apron and follows up with a moonsault to the floor. Back in he connects with a crucifix bomb for two. Drew blocks a double axe off the top with a stiff lariat and hits another two, but Mark blocks a suplex into a stunner. But as he goes for the SSP Drew gets the knees up and locks in the Dragon Sleeper forcing Mark to tap. **1/4

Hideo Itami & Akira Tozawa vs. Nemeth Alexander & Scott James
This is fine, not as violent and one-sided like I would have liked, but they have a few nice double teams. Tozawa assists Hideo on the corner dropkick and Tozawa finishes him off with the back senton off the top for the win. *1/2

In the confessional room, Cedric talks about how he's 1 match away from going to WM. And that this time he will finally become champion.

Quarter Final Match: Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy
Really good feeling out to start, they tell a great story with Buddy who's down to 197 is bigger and stronger than Ali, but now HE MIGHT BE QUICKER AND THAT THROWS ALI OFF. Weird spot, with Ali, tries to sike himself out by wanting the handshake even though Buddy has been a douche for the first 5 minutes, Buddy takes the handshake and he attacks Ali first. So not only is his bigger, stronger, and faster but now he's smarter. Buddy wears him down, but it never really goes anywhere. BUT ALI OUT OF NOWHERE HITS A 450 TO BUDDY'S ARM HOLY SHIT! 2018 REALLY IS THE YEAR OF THE ARM WORK :lmao Kinda weird that never really follow up or have a real Ali segment on the arm, he just kicks away at it a few times before moving onto a Buddy comeback. He sells the arm the whole time, but it never really becomes a factor again for the rest of the match. Ali hits a spike reverse 'rana and a sick spike tornado DDT for two. The match ends when both guys begin trading combo strikes, Buddy gets the better but can't hit Murphy's law because of the arm, which allows Ali to a crucifix pin him for the win. **1/2

Akira Tozawa & Hideo Itami vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado)
Good feeling out with Tozawa and Lince to start, both guys have a similar style so they both go for the same moves but neither comments, Matalik/Hideo is good but way too short, Hideo uses his experience to avoid all the big strokes and moves. But he can't keep up with the speed which allows the Lucha guys to briefly isolate him. But he comes right back with kicks and big boots to give he and Tozawa control back, I miss PWG Tozawa that guy that was crazy and violent, Two-Man Japanese Kick Party iso Lince, they take turns wearing him down, and toying with him. Really good Metalik hot tag, the match breaks down and Lince takes out Tozawa with a dive. But as Metalik goes for a move off the top he hurts his knee on the landing which allows Hideo to hit a sloppy looking move where he drops him onto his knee NOT the GTS for the win. **1/4

Semi-Finals Match: Roderick Strong vs. Cedric Alexander
Both guys are evenly matched, so we get a really good back and forth to start. They don't rush into anything, but they're also not timid. Roddy takes over by shoving Cedric's knees off the ropes as he attempts a springboard move, with Cedric's face hitting the top turnbuckle during the landing. Roddy targets the face and neck, Cedric makes a nice comeback and speeds up the tempo with big moves and dives. Cedric hits a flash Michinoku driver for two. But Roddy comes right back with the half-nelson into a backbreaker for two, but Cedric comes right back with the handstand rebound check and connects with the Lumbar Check, but Roddy gets his foot on the bottom rope for two. THEY FIGHT ON THE APRON AND RODDY THROWS CEDRIC ONTO THE METAL PART THAT CONNECTS THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AND THE RINGPOST! BRUH! Cedric makes it back onto the apron at 9, so Roddy brings him back in with a superplex for two. They trade strikes back and forth, with Roddy getting the better as he's the better striker. He then hits the end of heartache and this time Cedric is one to get his boot on the bottom rope to break the pinfall. AWESOME! Roddy tries to bring him back in, but Cedric hits a nasty back elbow out of desperation. They NOW begin slugging it out. Roddy hits the big knee but as again goes for the end of heartache Cedric small packages him for the win. ***

After the match; Both guys give the RESPECT head nod as Cedric celebrates going to WrestleMania by crying.

Semi-Finals Match: Drew Gulak vs. Mustafa Ali
Drew tries to bully Ali to start, but Ali doesn't back down and even gets the better early. Drew never really really get out of the box, he gets a couple moves in and strikes but Ali is one step ahead and has a counter for everything. Ali shows a more aggressive side, and toes the line of crossing it. By taking up the full 5 counts during corner stomps ect. Drew uses that aggression and suckers Ali in, by grabbing his tights and sending Ali face first into the middle turnbuckle. He follows up with some nasty lariats to the back of the head, but Ali counters into the Koji Clutch but Drew makes it to the ropes. Ali follows up with a 450 bomb to the floor but instead getting him back in Ali goes back to punches, he does roll him back in and goes to the top. But Drew shoves him off the top and Ali takes a brutal face bump to the apron. Drew begins throwing him into the barricades but when he goes back in to break the count that gives Ali time to recover and now Ali throws him over the announce table. Ali SNAPS! He breaks the count, to clear the announce table. He goes for a suplex but Drew blocks it and backdrops him off the table. DREW SNAPS NOW AND THROWS ALI INTO THE LED RING POST! ALI TAKES A SICK FUCKING BUMP! DREW FOLLOWS UP BY SLAMMING ALI ONTO THE FLOOR WHERE JOJO NORMALLY SITS! Drew rolls in looking for the countout, but Ali makes it back in at nine. He locks in the Dragon Sleeper but Ali grabs the ropes to block, he hits a spike DDT and hits the 054 for the win. ***

    Mark Andrews vs. Tony Nese
This is fine, I don't care for either man but issa solid watch. They do a lot of that new indy style lots of counters and complicated sequences. Nese uses his power to wear Andrews down, it's not great but neither is Tony. He does stuff to pass time, Mark sucks ass at selling as usual but he bumps well. Mark hits the Rey wheelbarrow into the bulldog to start a comeback and follows up with big spots for near falls. The match ends when Tony goes for the one arm sitdown powerbomb but Mark rolls through and hits the double stomp for two, Tony then goes for a pump handle but Mark counters it into a stunner and hits the SSP for the win. **1/4

After the match, Drake books Drew vs. Mark for next week.

Earlier Today, 205 GM Drake Maverick sat down with both Mustafa and Cedric. Cedric says it's crazy that just a year ago the both of them sat down together in Orlando in a skybox and watched WM. Ali says it's wild and special. Drake aks if their journey would lead to this. Cedric says it's crazy, they will have friends and family watch them live. He will even have his daughter in the crowd watch as he wins the title, Ali says that's not how the "STORY" usually ends. He usually wins, and he loves his story but the problem is his pen usually runs out of ink. He has a kid of his own, and after they get done tearing the house down. HE will be the one to walk away as champion. Cedric says he's willing to put his body on the line and stomp the heart of 205 to become champion, he will do it. Ali says that's what he has to do to win.

Fatal 4-Way #1 Contenders Match: Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa vs. TJP vs. Buddy Murphy
Really good stuff here jam-packed with action from bell to bell, TJP being the dumb heel joins forces with Buddy just to turn on him in 3.9 seconds later. Everyone gets a spotlight run on offense, Buddy's resurgence has been incredible. I do like that Tozawa and Kalisto are building off their tag team feud so they keep trying to one-up the other and refuse to get on the same page to benefit themselves. Everyone hits a big dive, Awesome spot that I've never seen before, TJP has Kalisto up in the bow/arrow surfboard hold, Buddy then sneaks into the ring and tries to cover TJ. But as that is going on Tozawa comes off the top with a back senton and breaks everything up. Tozawa covers Buddy by only gets two. The match ends minutes later when Kalisto and Tozawa argue over getting a pin, but Buddy takes them both out. TJ locks in the kneebar but Kalisto and Tozawa PULL him off. Murphy then wipes them both out with a corkscrew plancha to the floor and hits Murphy's Law on TJP for the win. **3/4

Akira Tozawa & Hideo Itami vs. Lucha House Party
This is a thing, its only here to build up the friction between Hideo and Lince. Kinda weird formula it's about 50/50 on offense but also a lot of 1on1's with minimal double teams. They do a great job building up for the Lince hot tag, so when he finally gets the tag and Hideo is in the ring, they begin stiffing the fuck out of one another. The match ends when Hideo blocks a Lincedriver by trying to pull off his mask, which leads to all 4 brawling in the ring and the ref being a pussy so he calls for the bell. Team Japan then lay out the Mexicans post-match. CAUSE JAPAN NUMBA 1. **1/4

    Buddy Murphy vs. Kalisto
Solid exchange to start, Buddy does the 2018 thing and tries to go after the arm, but Kalisto uses his speed to avoid. But Buddy uses his bigger frame to shove Kalisto off whenever he tries to do the flippy spotty stuff. That forces Kalisto to pick up the pace, but Buddy is with him every step of the way, I would have liked to see Kalisto sell that more with a simple shocked facial expression, as he's used to being the fastest man in a match. But now he's got someone bigger and stronger, but can also keep up with him in speed. But I guess that's too complicated for some. The majority of the match is a lot of back and forth, but OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE BUDDY HITS A MOTHERFUCKING RUNNING SUPLEX ON THE APRON! BRUH! But, they fuck everything up after this, so Muddy does one hard Irish whip to the back and that's all the heat segment he gets as they go right into the Kalisto comeback, and he doesn't sell the back at all. He hits all the big springboard moves except the reverse spike 'rana because Buddy slips and hits the electric chair, which would have been a great spot if that's what they planned but instead they skip over it and go to the Kalisto plancha to the floor. Minutes later, Buddy hits a sick monkey flip on the floor which sends Kalisto back first onto the announce table, and that's great but Kalisto continues to not sell the back at all. So fuck him, they have some great back and forth and for the first time this review the crowd begin a "205" chant and immediately ruin it with the "fight forever" chant. Buddy blocks SDS into a sick murphy's law dumping Kalisto on his head and neck for the win. I have mixed feeling for this like all the moves and shit are crisp. But I can't get over someone no selling any back pain after those two insane bumps. **1/2
