Just came back from the cinema, I'm still shocked by how to plot went, I was definitely not expecting that villain. They really pushed to the edge of PG-13, some scenes are quite bloody.
It's not perfect, but it was very unique and you can see that Sam Raimi put his signature on a few horror elements. I was just expecting a lot more craziness in his directing.

Very good movie but expectations were too high. There are some great cameos in this (including one insane one) but it’s not the cameo fest people were expecting. In addition there’s not a lot of multiverse in this either which is funny considering the title.

However the movie that we did get was great nonetheless. Great performances all around. Benedict Cumberbatch finally gets to lead a movie as a fully formed Doctor Strange and brings more to his performance than ever before. Xochitl Gomez is a natural and really makes you care about America Chavez and you want her to succeed. Benedict Wong is typically great as Wong. The MVP of this movie however is Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch. She’s incredible and terrifying and I loved it lmao. Great action scenes, great visuals. The story in this is about as simple as it gets but it still works because the people making it care. Sam Raimi delivers a wholly entertaining film 20 years after Spider Man.

All in all this movie probably shouldn’t have been called Multiverse of Madness because it’s really neither of those things lmao. It’s hard not to feel a drop disappointed due to the expectations but what we got was a fun and entertaining film nonetheless.

Oh and this film is not scary at all lmao. These critics are trippin. There’s maybe a few scenes that are “violent” but it’s very PG-13
