DC Universe

You kept saying it was a good movie, I kept saying that I didn't like it because it's childish and there's zero action in it.

Also, I have no problem with any Snyder movie in that universe, I'm not saying he's a perfect director (his Netflix zombie movie was horrendous), but I really enjoyed the look and tone of his DC movies and I wish they had kept it instead of having Shazam floss. I like Gunn but I fear he won't let the universe be dark and serious enough.
There was nothing wrong with Shazam flossing when he was by himself. If you all of a sudden got superpowers you’d probably act like a goofball and want to explore. The movie was actually realistic. It also had a great heart showing Billy with his foster family. Snyder’s movie was just characters being angry and sad with no motivation. And Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luther was just fucking horrendous.

All right I'm going to way in now. Shazam was great, it's exactly what it should have been based on the character. Man of Steel pretty good but not the greatest ever made. The Snyder cut justice league was amazing and far better than the whedon trash. Gunn has the talents to do a great job but yeah hopefully it's more serious than some of his other works.

What about BvS?

Too childish? I’m confused what you were expecting. A normal kid gets freaking superpowers by a magic wizard, I don’t think that concept’s ever gonna be Joker levels of dark and grim.

DC MOVIES CAN'T BE FUN GIP. This is serious business!
Nah I never said that. The Suicide Squad was fun, but also dark and serious when it needed to. There just needs to be a good balance if you want to bring humor in the movie. As average as Black Adam is, for example, I believe it has a very good one between jokes and more serious themes.

Snyder's movies had very little humor and that worked very well for me but I understand if people need a few jokes in. Just not too much of it or you end up with Love and Thunder.

It depends on the character. Shazam has ALWAYS been portrayed as a big baby essentially. He’s a kid. He just becomes adult looking when he says Shazam and gets his bod lmao. But he’s actually a kid. The tone of the movie is exactly what it should’ve been.

Probably, I just wish it hadn't been part of the DCEU like Joker because I will have to put up with the character again in other movies when they cross-over.
