CM Punk Injured

Word going around at Smackdown is that CM Punk had surgery on his arm last week. The word backstage was that Punk could be out of 4-8 weeks from the procedure on his arm. Apparently he had been working hurt for a few weeks at least. Punk came out tonight on the Smackdown taping with his arm in a sling.

Such a shame as he is one of the best in WWE at the moment. Is an excellent allrounder both in the ring and out and was doing a good job in leading his own stable. I hope that he remains on television and continues to lead SES because just as a mouthpiece and leader he is worth being on television. Maybe the masked man (Joey Mercury) can actually wrestle some matches now that Punk is gone rather than randomly attacking people.

This must be a massive blow for the SES and their storyline if he is out for that many weeks. No doubt they will keep him in the tuxed up promo way but as for physical maybe we will see the masked man wrestle for good but the injury must be a kick in the teeth for the story line.

 

[The New F'n Show]

This could mean more Gallows. Punk as a manager for him could be a blessing in disguise for his career. With that said it sucks Punk is hurt but I think they can get around it if it is only for a month or two.

Joining SES has already saved Gallows career after failures as Fake Kane and Festus. Having CM Punk manage him would indeed help him even more in his WWE career. SES should still be able to survive with Punk's injury, the writing team should be able to book around his injury for a month focusing on Gallows wrestling, the masked man possibly debuting in the ring on telelvision and maybe even Serena wrestling a match.
