If the details are accurate, then just the fact that the Mother is apparently prepared or even willing to ruin his reputation is deplorable enough as is. Blackmailing your son and looking to discredit and sabotage their success is a horrible thing for a parent to do. Not to mention having a parent that repeatedly threatens to commit suicide and placing that kind of responsibility on their son. Being a parent is all about building up your kids even if at a cost - not bringing them down based on some weird perception of what a family is.

I remember watching Punk's DVD. He (and his friend) mentions how he more or less never really got what he needed from his immediate family and was more or less "raised" by his friends parents/family. He also mentioned something along the lines of his brother supposedly borrowing a sum of money and pretty much screwing him over in the end, so it sounds like there's a more than what we know as far as disputes and problems go. Punk's seemingly made it quite clear that he appreciates and is very loyal to his loved ones though and is willing to go the distance for them.

The fact that he's even helped his mother to this point despite it all is still a commendable thing but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. At the end of the day it's not up to us to decide where that line is.

Punk basically saying he doesn't care if his mom kills herself.

Nice guy.

So.............Publicly shaming your mother is a better option than just privately telling her to leave you alone?

Seems legit.

This is also a one-sided story here, I don't think we have to buy this story that CM Punks parents are terrible people, maybe he is just a shitty son.

To be fair to Punk he hasn't come out with a press release announcing that he is applying for a restraining order. He went through the courts and unfortunately the media vultures that think everything is news posted it for the world to know. Some things should be kept private, like court dealings, but unfortunately aren't in this day and age.

Punk basically saying he doesn't care if his mom kills herself.

Nice guy.

Gave her $100k already and she still isn't happy, can't really blame him. If someone kept trying to blackmail me I would cut them off, wouldn't care who they are.

I've seen this before. Buddy of mine and his mom. It was awful watching her do it, and that's your mom man, when she starts the guilt trip, it hits you hard. Eventually he stopped it. Stopped taking her phone calls, told her that if she wasn't willing to help herself that he wouldn't do it for her. It's a tough thing to do I'd imagine, but it's something that you gotta do.

Seriously dude? Get your fucking head out of your ass. Everyone knows that's Punks parents were worthless. It's not like he publically shamed her. She's a crazy bitch and he needed to do something about it. You try keeping something private when you're a celebrity.

Give me a break. You're such an ignorant ass that will shit on anything Punk related cause you think it's cool to be a troll.

LOL

I'm ignorant? Seems like taking a persons word, whose sole job is to work people at face value when it comes to statements about his life is being ignorant. There are two sides to every story, this shit is basically Eminems story, where we just get one side stories that may or may not be true.

Get your head out of your ass, wrestlers lie, it's their fucking job.

Betcha think Hogan really wrote a song about a kid he met at Summerslam 92 too.

Alright can we keep it on the topic at hand instead of attacking one another.

Don't think this update was posted but it's a day or two old. Popped up the day after the initial report.

CM Punk's legal wish has been granted -- a judge has issued a 2-year restraining order against the WWE superstar's estranged mother after she allegedly bombarded him with threats, TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... Punk filed legal docs in Illinois claiming his mom threatened to commit suicide several times after he stopped giving her money to pay for her living situation. Punk also claimed his mom had threatened to expose humiliating secrets from his past.

Punk had already received a temporary restraining order against his mom -- but today, the judge decided to extend the order of protection for 2 years.

Punk had asked the court to also ban his mom from WWE wrestling events -- but it's unclear if the judge signed off on that request as well.

Good for him. The best thing he can do.

Feel sorry for the guy but whether the courts grant this or not surely WWE would keep an eye out and removge her from any events.

Okay, this comes from TMZ, so I'll take it with a jar of salt, and some pepper...and a dash of sugar...a glass of water...make that whiskey.

Let's say, for argument's sake, that they didn't pull this report out of thin air. Why would Punk, give $100,000 to his mother if he really didn't give a shit? I mean, yeah, he's on TV and everything, but that's still a hefty sum of money. And literally holding herself hostage for more? I commend Punk for giving her the initial donation, and for cutting her off afterward.
