Backstory: In mid 2009 Vince McMahon had his yearly WWE draft, many men moved shows including Matt Hardy who was drafted back to Smackdown. Matt and his brother Jeff made history by becoming the WWE tag team Champions once again, they were on e step closer to being the tag team with the most ever won tag titles. Two and a half months later in late August Vince McMahon was in touch with a wrestler who was once in WWE, the superstar accepted the contract from McMahon and was ready to make his way back into the WWE.

It was one week before the biggest PPV of the Summer, Summerslam. Matt and Jeff Hardy were out in the ring telling everybody watching that they were the best tag team ever and nobody would take away their tag titles. They offered any of the tag teams on smackdown to challenge them at Summerslam but nobody accepted the challenge until Edges theme music hit as he walked out being booed by everyone around the arena. Edge told the Hardy Boys that they would never be the best tag team ever and that he accepted the challenge for the tag team titles but nobody knew Edge had a partner until Christian’s music hit! They all talked for a while until Edge had an idea. He said “we have competed in ladder matches, and we have competed in TLC matches but there is one match we have never had together, a TABLES match”

The match was made official by the Smackdown General Manager and the Hardy Boys got ready to defend their tag team titles against E & C, Edge and Christian!

Rules: Must go through a table to be eliminated. To get eliminated you must be thrown through a table by your opponent.

Edge and Christian Vs The Hardy Boys ©
At Summerslam for the tag team titles in a tornado elimination tag tables match

The bells ring and the match is started, Christian begins to trade punches with Jeff Hardy while Matt Hardy and Edge go at it. They all continue to trade blows with one another, both the Hardy Boys begin to heat up. They go crazy with punches to the face of Edge and Christian, Edge and Christian back down into the turnbuckles on opposite sides to one another. Matt holds Edge in the corner throwing punches while Jeff does the same to Christian. Matt and Jeff both Irish whip Edge and Christian towards the middle of the ring, the both meet in the ring and duck past one another while running, Edge continues running down towards Jeff as does Christian down to Matt. Matt and Jeff both dropkick Edge and Christian right in the face knocking them both down to the mat. Edge and Christian both get back up to their feet, Matt and Jeff punch them a couple more times, Jeff Hardy hits Edge with a huge enziguri which drops Edge to the mat and he slowly rolls out of the ring. Matt and Jeff both meet up in the ring with Christian; they punch him in the head a couple of times before Matt Hardy Irish whips Christian into the turnbuckle. Christian stays in the corner for a while holding his back as Matt gets down on his knees, Jeff Hardy runs and leaps off his brothers back and lands his leg right into the head of Christian. Christian drops down onto the mat holding his head as Jeff Hardy walks over to the ropes. Matt Hardy gets down on the mat and stays on Christian; he hammers away at him with huge rights and lefts. Jeff Hardy springs over the top rope to the outside where he lands right on top of Edge who was just starting to get back up to his feet, both men lie on the ground outside the ring.

In the ring Matt picks up Christian and they begin to trade punches, Hardy gets momentum but Christian ends that with a knee to the stomach. Christian gives Matt a few more hard knees to the mid section as well as a few punches to the face, he then clothesline Matt Hardy which knocks Hardy backwards into the ropes. Matt Hardy bounces off the ropes, he starts running backwards towards Christian but Christian quickly runs at him first and dropkicks him right in the face which knocks Hardy through the middle rope to the outside. On the outside of the ring Edge and Jeff Hardy have just gotten back up to their feet, Matt Hardy also gets back up to one knee still holding his head. Christian gets up onto the turnbuckle as Matt and Jeff Hardy begin to hammer away at Edge, they slightly look up as Christian dives off the top rope and lands on them all including Edge with a huge cross body! All four men lie on the ground outside the ring, they all hard their hurt body parts. Christian slowly gets back up to his feet; he picks up Edge and rolls him back into the ring. Christian also rolls back into the ring bringing Jeff Hardy in with him. Edge and Christian both get back up onto their feet; Jeff Hardy is about to but Edge and Christian start to stomp away on his head and stomach. They both pick Jeff up and knee him in the mid section before hitting him with a huge double suplex, Hardy rolls around on the mat holding his back in pain. Jeff Hardy gets back up onto one knee; Edge and Christian walk over to him and pick him up. They both lift him up and put their knees out hitting Jeff with a huge Gut Buster, Jeff once again drops to the mat and rolls around in a lot of pain.

Edge stays in the ring stomping and punching Jeff Hardy who is already in a lot of pain as Christian gets outside the ring and walks over to the tables. Christian grabs one table and sets it up on the outside of the ring while grabbing another table and pushing it into the ring by Edge. Matt Hardy gets back up to his feet on the outside, he slowly rolls back into the ring. Christian grabs the table and puts it in position in the corner of the ring while Edge continues to punch and kick Jeff Hardy. Edge sees Matt Hardy back in the ring, he runs over and all of a sudden Matt jumps up and clothesline Edge. Edge drops to the mat in an instance; he slowly gets back up and walks into another hard clothesline which again drops him down to the mat. Christian runs over to Matt Hardy and he is hit with a couple of hard punches to the face, Matt then hits Christian with a hard snap suplex. Edge slowly gets back up o his feet as does Jeff Hardy, Jeff grabs Edge and Irish whips him into the turnbuckle as Christian Cage slowly gets back up to his feet stumbling. Matt Hardy runs and clotheslines Edge in the turnbuckle, he then grabs Edge by the head and runs out and hits him with a bulldog while clotheslining Christian on the way out of the corner. Matt Hardy stands up and pulls the V1 sign, him and his brother Jeff both walk over to the turnbuckle and climb up. Christian lies on the mat out from where Jeff Hardy is while Edge lies on the mat just out from where Matt Hardy is. The Hardy Boys both taunt, they then jump out and hit Edge and Christian with huge signature leg drops!

Edge and Christian lie on the mat in a lot of pain, Jeff and Matt Hardy shake each others hands quickly before walking over to Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian slowly get back up to their feet as the Hardy Boys punch them in the head a few times, Matt Hardy grabs Christian and starts trying to throw him into the table that is leaning up against the turnbuckle. Jeff holds Edge but out of nowhere Edge nails him with the Edgecution, Jeff Hardy lies on the mat holding his head in pain while Christian avoids being thrown through the table. Christian elbows Matt Hardy in the head a couple of times, he then knees Matt in the mid section. Matt Hardy bends down slightly facing Edge, Edge sprints at him and goes for the spear as Christian moves out of the way. Right before Edge hits Matt Hardy he dives out of the way leaving Edge to go right through the table head first. Jeff Hardy rolls to the side of the ring while Edge lies in the corner on the broken table in a world of pain. Christian stands in the middle of the ring in shock of what happened to Edge; Matt Hardy gets back up and runs at Christian. Christian ducks a clothesline from Matt Hardy; Matt turns around and is kneed in the stomach followed by a huge swinging neck breaker by Christian! Christian walks over and pulls Edge out of all the broken table, he then throws all the broken wood out of the ring. Christian gets outside the ring and walks over to the other tables; he grabs a table and starts to slide it over to the ring. Christian sees Jeff Hardy up in the ring, Jeff runs and flips over the top rope but Christian drops to the ground leaving Jeff Hardy to smash through the other table that was set up earlier in the match. Jeff Hardy lies motionless outside the ring as does Edge in the ring.

Christian again gets a shocked look on his face, he lifts the table up and slides it into the ring as Matt Hardy slowly gets back up to his feet. Both men look at their partners who are not eliminated but have gone through tables. Christian and Matt Hardy walk over to each other and begin to trade punches with one another, Hardy starts to fire up with lefts and rights pushing Christian backwards into the ropes. Matt Hardy then Irish whips Christian to the ropes on the other side of the ring, Christian slowly comes running back as Matt Hardy moves towards him and grabs him, he then nails Christian with a huge side effect! Christian holds his back in pain while Matt Hardy picks up the table; he sets it up just out from the turnbuckle. Matt Hardy picks up Christian and places him on top of the table, Hardy then climbs to the top and sits there while hyping up the crowd. Edge comes running across slowly still in a lot of pain, he climbs up onto the second rope and punches Hardy a few times giving Christian enough time to roll off of the table. Christian rolls outside the ring and all of a sudden Matt Hardy grabs Edge and nails him with a huge side effect from the top rope through the table!!! Matt Hardy lies in the ring tired and hurt as Edge doesn’t move after being eliminated through the table. Christian walks over slowly to the tables and grabs another one while in the ring Matt Hardy pushes Edge and the broken table out of the ring. Christian pushes the new table into the ring before sliding in himself; Matt Hardy turns around and is hit in the ribs with the table followed by a dropkick to the face. Hardy drops down onto the mat as Christian sets the table up just out from the turnbuckle.

Jeff Hardy gets back up to his feet barely able to stand, he stumbles over to the ring and slowly rolls in as Matt Hardy rolls over to the side of the ring. Jeff stumbles over to Christian who gives him a few hard punches to the head before slamming Jeff Hardy’s head down onto the table. Christian then pushes Jeff up onto the table and leaves him lying on it, Christian walks over and climbs up onto the turnbuckle. Matt Hardy gets up and sees Christian up on the top rope; he tries to get him down but is kicked in the face by Christian which knocks Hardy back down onto the mat. Christian jumps off and hits Jeff Hardy with a huge frog splash through the table which eliminated Jeff Hardy! It is now just Christian and Matt Hardy left in the match up. Christian slowly pushes Jeff Hardy and the broken table out of the ring, Matt Hardy slowly gets back up just as Christian pushes them out of the ring. Christian runs over to Hardy and starts to give him heaps of punches to the face but Matt Hardy gets Christian off by giving him a hard haymaker right to the jaw. Christian slowly stumbles backwards holding his face, Matt Hardy walks over to him and knees him in the mid section before hitting him with a quick and hard jaw breaker which drops Christian to the mat. Christian holds his face on the ground as Matt Hardy rolls out of the ring; he walks over and picks up a table by the security barricade. Christian gets back up to one knee in the ring still hurt as Matt Hardy slides the table into the ring followed by him. Matt Hardy sets the table up right in the middle of the ring.

Matt Hardy walks over and punches Christian a couple of times, he pulls him over to the table and tries to get Christian up onto it but can’t. He tries again but this time Christian elbows Hardy in the head causing Matt Hardy to release Christian, Christian then punches Hardy a few times and tries to get him onto the table. Matt Hardy pushes Christian off into the ropes, Christian bounces off the ropes and runs back towards Matt Hardy who spreads his legs and Christian slides under them and the table. Christian gets back up on the other side of the table, Matt Hardy reaches across and garbs Christians head and slams it down hard onto the table. Matt Hardy walks around to where Christian is and pushes him up onto the table, Matt Hardy then also gets up onto the table. Matt Hardy slowly picks up Christian and knees him in the stomach causing Christian to bend down slightly, Hardy goes for the Twist of Fate on the table but Christian pulls out of it and grabs Matt Hardys and nails him with the Unpretier through the table!!!

Here are your winners and new tag team champions, Edge and Christian!!!

Tag Team Elimination Match

The backstory:

The Age of The Fall has dominated the Ring of Honor Tag Team division, using cheap tactics and foreign objects they have held the tag team titles for several months defeating several top contenders including Steen and Generico, Delirious and Hallowicked, Roderick Strong and Davey Richards and so forth. It seemed like nobody would be able to wrest the titles from them. That is until the return of Ring of Honor’s cornerstone team the Briscoes. The Briscoes made a surprise return accepting the open challenge of Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black reigniting their bloody feud and came within inches of winning the titles back. Instead of defending the titles in a signed match the following show Jimmy Jacobs instead forced the Briscoes to take on Joey Mercury and the Necro Butcher. Despite heavy interference from Jimmy Jacobs the Briscoes were still able to pick up the victory. At the next Ring of Honor Show the Briscoes took advantage of the distraction provided by the surprise return of Lacey to pin Tyler Black after a spike Jay Driller and win the tag team titles. Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black would get their rematch the following month but the match was thrown out due to excessive interference and referee attacks. Gabe Sapolsky put together a special Tag Team version of the 3 stages of Hell. If an individual is pinned or submits they are eliminated from the match. The first stage would be a straight wrestling match. The second stage would be a street fight. And the third fall should it come to that would be a Tables Match. The last person (or team) standing will be the Ring of Honor tag team champions.

Ring of Honor Presents Final Battle

Jay claws his way back up to his feet as Jimmy starts to get up on the other side of the ring. Both men finally get to their feet after several minutes. Jimmy and Jay stagger towards each other. Their intense hatred is the only thing keeping them going. Both men get close to each other and take half-hearted wild swings which barely connect. Both men take harder swings now which connect. Both men connect with rights again. Now their punches are getting quicker and more intense. Jimmy Jacobs rakes the eyes of Jay Briscoe and hooks him for the contra code but Jay pushes him away. Jay motionless on the table. Jimmy psyching himself up to get ready to jump and taunt the crowd at the same time. The taunting seems to have taken to much time as Jay Briscoe has rolled off the table and is struggling to get to his feet and climb the ladder. Jimmy sits at the top of the ladder daring him to come on. Jay slowly climbs his way up the ladder as fast as he can with only one good leg. Jimmy Jacobs waiting on him at the top of the ladder. Jay gets within Jimmy reach and Jimmy swings but Jay ducks it and jumps up to deliver a right of his own almost losing his balance in the process. Jay climbs up even with Jimmy Jacobs and swings again nearly causing Jimmy to lose his balance. Jimmy manages to hang on and come back with a right of his own. Jimmy lands another right, and another. Jimmy punishes Jay with a nasty headbutt nearly knocking him off the ladder. Jimmy smacks Jay’s head into the top of the ladder a few times. Jimmy Jacobs climbs up higher on the ladder. He could be looking for the sunset flip powerbomb. Jimmy positions himself and taunts the crowd once more saying it’s over. Jay suddenly springs back to life and surprises Jimmy with a shot to the jewels. Jimmy holds his crotch in pain as Jay lifts him up in a fireman’s carry. Jimmy trying to block it but the pain from the nut shot is too much as Jay takes him over and both men crash through the table from the Death Valley Driver! Jay Briscoe wins the match for his team.

Backstory

On the 28th of July, Raw was to get a new General Manager. Shane McMahon came out at the end of Raw, after the new unknown General Manager had been making decisions all night. No one knew who the GM would be. Many speculated that it would be Shane himself. However, Shane shocked the world when he announced that the new General Manager was the man who had been called in to commentate for that night with apparently no reason. That man was Mike Adamle. The next week on Raw, Mike seemed confident enough as GM. He made matches for not only Raw, but also Survivor Series, with one of them, JBL vs CM Punk, with Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship on the line. When SummerSlam came around, Punk defended his Title successfully, however it was via DQ. Punk looked ready to pin JBL after hitting the Go To Sleep, only for Randy Orton to run in and nail Punk with the RKO.

The next night on Raw JBL demanded a rematch, as his Title match ended in DQ. When Adamle came out and said JBL wouldn’t get it, JBL threatened Adamle, causing Adamle to back down. Other superstars took note, and they began intimidating the GM, who was scared of the superstars. This continued on until late October, when Shane McMahon made another appearance on Raw. He made a match for Survivor Series. It was to be an Eight Man Tag Team Elimination Match, with some of the main culprits involved. It would be the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, John Cena, Batista and Shawn Michaels, up against JBL, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Kane. Shane decided that the winning team would have each of their members General Manager for a week each after Survivor Series, to prove that being General Manager is no easy task.

5...4...3...2...1...0. Pyro explodes around the entrance area, and Chris Jericho is shown posing with his back to the camera. Jericho then turns arrogantly to boos from the crowd, before he walks down the ramp to ringside. Jericho climbs up the steel steps, before posing on the ring apron.

Cole: King, Y2J has been a self centred son of a bitch ever since returning, and he has been one of the main men bullying General Manager, Mike Adamle.

King: I completely agree Michael, and maybe, just maybe, someone will beat some sense into him.

Fire comes out of the stage, and Slow Chemical plays, as Kane walks down the ramp. Kane climbs up the apron, then gets in the ring as fireworks come out of the ringposts.

Cole: A few months ago Kane snapped, asking if his mask was dead or alive. He has since put the mask back on, but his rage has not subsided.

King: Kane has been on a rampage for about five months now, and no one has been able to stop him.

The Rated R CMStar

Guest
In 2006, a series of events occurred which hinted at a DX reunion. At WrestleMania 22, former members Shawn Michaels and Triple H performed the crotch chop during their respective matches, which was met with loud cheering from the fans in attendance. The two continued to deliver chops in the following episodes of Raw as Michaels feuded with Vince McMahon and Triple H focused on the WWE Championship, repeatedly running into Vince McMahon in the process.

On the June 12 edition of Raw, the events came to a head, when, during Triple H's gauntlet match against the Spirit Squad, Shawn Michaels came in to help his former companion. After the duo had laid out the entire Spirit Squad, the two men began to perform their crotch chops. DX continued their brash antics at the expense of the Spirit Squad, Vince and Shane McMahon and Jonathan Coachman for several weeks and repeatedly took part in blatantly camp product placement during Raw promos. Most of their antics involved practical jokes on Vince.

On the June 26 edition of Raw, they added to the list of parodies with Triple H impersonating Vince McMahon, talking about his love of "Dicks" (referring to Dick Ebersol, Dick Clark, and Dick Cheney), while Michaels impersonated Shane McMahon (this episode is also famous for being the "Holy Shit" episode due to excrement being dumped on Vince and Shane McMahon and the entire Spirit Squad). During their feud, DX defeated the Spirit Squad at Vengeance 2006 and on the July 15 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, as well as The McMahons (Vince and Shane) at SummerSlam 2006. At Unforgiven 2006 in a handicap Hell in a Cell match that featured The Big Show on The McMahons' side, DX again came out victorious.

DX's next feud was with Rated-RKO (Edge and Randy Orton). At Cyber Sunday 2006, the fans selected Eric Bischoff over Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman to be the special guest referee for the match. Bischoff allowed the illegal use of a steel chair to give Rated-RKO the win, but not without controversy. With this, Rated-RKO became the first team to "defeat" DX in a tag team match since their reunion in June 2006. At Survivor Series 2006, Michaels and Triple H would get back at Edge and Orton in a big way by leading Team DX (Triple H, Michaels, Matt and Jeff Hardy, and CM Punk) to a dominating 5-0 sweep over Team Rated-RKO (Edge, Orton, Gregory Helms, Johnny Nitro, and Mike Knox).

In 2007, DX would finally challenge for the World Tag Team Championship against Edge and Orton at New Year's Revolution 2007 in Kansas City. The fight would end in a no-contest after Michaels hit the referee. After the match, DX would then proceed to beat down Rated-RKO with steel chairs and on the announce tables.

All four men participated in the Royal Rumble 2007, however, they all failed as The Undertaker won the match. Raw remained without a Number One Contender for John Cena’s WWE Championship for Wrestlemania 23. Meanwhile, Raw’s top dogs continued battling in the tag team DX vs Rated RKO feud. Finally, Vince Mcmahon decided on making this tag team match, an Elimination Tag Team with the final man making the pinfall challenging John Cena at Wrestlemania 23.

"Break it Down" plays as Triple H and HBK makes their way out. They taunt to the audience bringing the roof down. They taunt to the audience as they enter the ring. They look ready for action and apparently they are not going to speak tonight.

"Rated RKO" plays to a big amount of boos from the audience as Randy Orton and Edge make their arrogant way out. Edge and Randy Orton stare at each other as they make their way down, knowing what it's on stake in the match. They enter the ring and taunt to the crowd, getting even more boos.

HBK stretches trying to get the tag out of Hunter, however right when Triple H is about to make the tag to his DX partner, Randy Orton is able to reach him and grab him by the boot, then pull him back to the middle of the ring. Triple H starts turning around however and limping he gets face to face with Randy Orton. Triple H grins and he announces the end. Randy Orton slowly makes his way back up to his feet, then when he recovers the standing position, he walks into Triple H, that kicks him in the middle section and sets Orton in the Pedigree position, however before he is able to connect it, Randy Orton back body drops Triple H down to the canvas. However, this time when he is rolling him to connect the maneuver, Randy Orton out of nowhere counters the hold and drops Triple H down on the back of his neck hitting a Reverse DDT of his own. Orton staggers toward the ropes looking for leverage. He finally reaches it and recovers his balance, and when he does so, he starts taunting Triple H to get back to his feet, looking to hit him with the RKO. Triple H takes his time, but he finally gets back to his feet, still turning his back to Orton. Edge gets back to his feet and he walks toward the corner, as the next step on his offensive strategy. He climbs to the top rope and immediately comes down, however Triple H puts his boot up high and receives it with it, driving it right to the throat of Edge, that gets planted completely. Edge coughs and grabs his neck in pain after it. Triple H follows up as he gets back to his feet, dashes to the ring ropes behind him and plants him with a huge clothesline that knocks him down. Triple H gets back to his feet and makes his classic taunt. He sets his opponent up grabbing the legs of the Rated R Superstar and goes to lock in the Figure Four Leg Lock, however when he is twisting the legs, Edge counters rolling The Game up: 1…2…, Triple H kicks out. Both competitors get back to their feet and dash toward each other, however Edge gets the upperhand as he delivers a toe kick to the middle section of the King of Kings and plants him then with the Impaler DDT. JR: He did it, by gawd, game set, game on, The Game is going to Wrestlemania!

King: One of the most bizarre ways to determine a Number One Contender, DX battled Rated RKO into an inch of their careers, but in the end it is Triple H winning, my god what a match.

JR: And most importantly, Triple H will be playing the Wrestlemania Game against John Cena, for the second time.

King: Wrestlemania 23, a rematch from Wrestlemania 22, my God I can’t wait.

Triple H taunts to the crowd celebrating to the audience his victory, climbing to all the turnbuckles. He then points to HBK on the outside of the ring and claps dedicating his victory to him. HHH then lifts his arms up high and does the DX crotch chop.
