The real question is: where does Braun go? His contract demands would be out of the question for anyone except AEW, and AEW's style doesn't exactly mesh with "big man who does big man matches".

I think he'd be just fine in AEW once they flush out the PC crap.

It seems like the real reason for Braun Strowman being released by WWE has been revealed after the news broke earlier today.

As reported by Fightful Select, Braun Strowman signed a “monster” contract with WWE in 2019 for well into 2023, and the big money was likely a catalyst for WWE releasing him.

Sources claim the contract would see Strowman earn over $1 million per year, and for that reason people weren’t as surprised that he got released as you might have thought.


It was also noted that he himself knew it was a huge contract but was very private about negotiations until it had been finalized.

Bummed about Aleister, Murphy, and Ruby. I can see Aleister and Ruby being an asset to AEW in some form, and Buddy I can see thriving in NJPW.

Braun I could also see in NJPW as well as a big evil monster gaijin.

Lana I feel bad for because she was really trying to improve and she seemed to have a passion for it. She’ll more than likely wind up in AEW with Miro.

Santana I can see going to Impact or possibly AEW, she was a decent hand from what I remember.
