That's honestly the biggest issue. The so called Top 40 is one of the worst station ideas because the top 40 songs are the songs the station plays the most... which in itself is just an echo chamber of the same material. Radio does the most damage to certain songs tbh.

Top 40 is definitely overplayed, but it’s how I discover the vast majority of songs I wind up liking. I’m not much of a search music type of person.

The other way is if it’s on a movie or tv show.
