Backstage Details On A Blowup Between Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon & Triple H Regarding Vince’s Role With The Company & Concerns Regarding His Health At A Pivotal Time In WWE’s History

DECEMBER 31, 2013 BY RICHARD GRAY

We reported earlier this week here on WrestlingNewsWorld.com Premium that Vince McMahon was dealing with a health ailment, believed to be a flare up of diverticulitis. Whatever is going on with Vince, it’s creating a rift within the family.

We’re being told that Stephanie McMahon has been urging her father to take time off until he gets to feeling better. According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Stephanie got into a bit of an argument with Vince over it and told him if he didn’t step back and put his health first, she would quit the company. Triple H sided with her and made it clear he wouldn’t stay without her.

Cooler heads eventually prevailed and there wasn’t a blowup at WWE’s highest level, however, there is a precedent for this. One of the reasons why Shane McMahon left WWE is he wanted his father to lessen his role and give him more control. When Vince rejected that notion, Shane ended up pursuing outside interests.

Those close to Vince say that with the ongoing television licensing negotiations as well as the upcoming launch of the WWE Network, he’s refusing to be on the outside looking in during such a critical time in the company’s history. However, Stephanie and Hunter are worried about the stress resulting in serious damage to his long-term health.

That actually would be a good way of threatening Vince at this point.

If Steph & HHH both decided to take off Vince would be left with nobody to take over for him, and they would basically be saying fuck off, or fuck your company.

Not that I actually believe this story, just that would be a good way to put the old bastard in his place.

JESUS, Punk13 you post WrestlingNewsWorld articles all the time and every time you say "I've never heard of this site." I hadn't either until the "news" you always post from them.

Anyway, don't believe this at all.

Nice piece of fiction isn't it? Like supermarket tabloid levels of bullshit. Almost got to admire it, Meltzer in the 90s level.

Former writer Court Bauer who working in creative at the time of Shanes departure said it was because he didn't have a mind for the business and didn't want it as much as Steph.

And he is making a killing in China,.....can't take the money out of China, but still rolling in the dough.
