It's being reported that Total Nonstop Action Impact Wrestling and the MMA cagefighting promotion Bellator (which will debut on Spike TV in the year 2013) may have plans to do a talent exchange where some of TNA's professional wrestlers will participate in Bellator cagefighting matches and Bellator's cagefighters may appear and/or wrestle on TNA programming.

It's being said that current TNA X Division star David "Kid" Kash, who has done some MMA before, is currently training to fight in MMA once again.

(On a personal note, this could be a great opportunity for Kurt Angle to finally do MMA, since he's been saying since he left WWE and joined TNA back in late 2006 that he wants to have at least one MMA fight some time before he retires. Also, TNA star Samoa Joe is well-known for possessing a legitimate background in Martial Arts, and has been known to train with notable MMA fighters/gyms. Rob Van Dam also has a legit Martial Arts background.)

Would love to see Angle get fucked up.

Not sure if Bellator have a Heavyweight division though, only really know their 185lbs fighters and below that.

I think Angle would get wrecked in MMA, he just doesn't seem like the kind of guy that could win fights there.

Typical TNA trying to get their superstars into MMA... The only one that looks like could actually be good in MMA is Samoa Joe.

Just to add, Bellator should stay well away from this, as it could ruin their image.

I think many people actually underrated Angle. When it comes to mat based wrestling he is still one of the best in the game, and I think he easily could win a shoot MMA fight.

Really bad idea. The Cork is right it is going to hurt Bellator having some wrestlers fight in their promotion because some MMA fans will then think that Bellator is fixed rather than real. I get the idea of cross promoting the products but there is no need for a talent exchange.
