As far as this particular version of Resident Evil 2 is concerned... Grand Theft Auto III is far and away superior.

I would have expected myself to say GTA III, but on thought when I played the remake it really was a lot more fun that I expected it to be.

This would have been harder for me if it was the original Resident Evil 2. The Remake was good, but not one of my top RE games.

Grand Theft Auto III is my choice. It was highly influential for it's time, and Rockstar really broke ground with their game design & ideas. Not my favourite GTA, but it is so significant and important.

I think because it's newer, people are tending to gloss over a lot of the problems that RE2make has and just are voting it because "oh shiny new game".

So what about the match-ups where the old games beat the new games in the tournament? I was also told that people who voted against Destiny for Streets of Rage 3 were "protest voting" when I think people might just be voting for which game they think is best in both cases

If any bias exists, I'd say nostalgia wins out in 2020 vs "shiny and new" any day tho, for every entertainment medium.

It probably means the newer games weren't that good or as good as the older ones to begin with.
