I prefer Aliens. Even then, Terminator beats it easy. Probably T1>Aliens>T2>Alien for me.

I do love the first Terminator, no knock on that. I like all three films, but Alien still edges it for me.

They've all great movies tbh, this is a good final 3. Although, if I'm on a personal level I think Back to the Future or The Matrix should have been here. They are what I would say got me in to science fiction in a huge way

T2 is probably my favorite 90s era movie, period so...its the right choice

When T2 wins, I still consider Alien and T1 tied in second place. When they faced off one on one it tied.

Alien is only in second place here because most prefer T2 over T1. It split the Terminator vote and the Alien people stuck with Alien.

alien is a fantastic movie though, but t2 is...well its t2 and its the king for a reason

I'm not disputing that. I'm saying I don't consider T1 third place. As someone that vastly prefers it to Alien. And just a tiny bit more than T2.

Oh I see where the confusion comes in now. I should have said T1 is in third place not Alien is in second place because of the Terminator vote being split.

I'm probably a simp, I like Aliens more than Alien anyways . t1 is a great chase movie and it kind of flows better. alien has a great story and setting tho. all kick ass movies none the less, but generallyill lean more into action over horror myself

Same. Aliens is vastly better than Alien. Especially the longer cut. The theme of motherhood makes that movie special imo.

Ripley finding out she missed her daughter's whole life so it explains why she bonds so hard to Newt in this film and protects her like a mother.

That then parallels with her fight with the Queen, essentially the aliens mother. It's truly a masterpiece imo.
