Will probably go with Donovan Mcnabb's game where he threw 4 tds after breaking his ankle. Should even be able to walk with that let alone be able to play with it the way he did.

New Zealands sport is Rugby Union, so I shall use an example from that.

Buck Shelford, a great All Black from the late 80s early 90s once got one of his nuts ripped off during a game agaisnt the dirty flithy French, he left the field, got it stiched back on and then returned to the field to finish the game and lead us to victory.

True story look it up.

Eric Briesel of the Houston Texans broke his leg in the 1st quarter and still played his heart out the rest of the game. Went went on to beat the Bengals 20-19 to clinch our first playoff berth.

1993 Season. Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants. Last week of regular season, winner gets #1 seed and 1st round bye. RB Emmitt Smith separated his shoulder and he came back and lead his team to a victory. He ran for 168 yards. That game brought the Cowboys back to the Super Bowl and win back-to-back Super Bowls.

Isiah Thomas on one ankle balling his ass off. He was hopping on one foot and kicking ass out there. It is amazing to watch that whole game

I'd go with Terrell Owens playing through the pain in the superbowl about 10 years ago.

Suprised not many when with my pick, the Emmitt Smith one. That one game defined his career.

I'm going to have to go with Bob Baun.

"April 23, 1964: With the score tied 3-3 late in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final at Detroit, Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Bob Baun took a slap shot on his skate and dropped to the ice in pain. After freezing and taping the injury, he returned for overtime and scored the winning goal at 2:43 of the extra period. Baun played in the series finale and did not miss a shift as Toronto won the Cup. The following day, x-rays confirmed what Baun had known all along: that the ankle was in fact broken."

He SKATED on a broken ankle. Back when skates were three chunks of leather and a chunk of steel. Holy crap, the pain.

Depends on what you consider an athlete. I would have to say any of the wrestlers who have continued to wrestle after they have been injured. This would include almost anyone on the WWE, TNA, or ROH roster.
