Rob Zombie’s Michael Myers is a different character from any of the ones that follow John Carpenter’s first one and to me the Michael from the new trilogy is also a completely different character from Halloween 2 and any sequels that follow that film since OG Michael was pretty defined by the blood relationship he had with Laurie. Michael that chases after a girl he met 40 years ago because she dropped off a key is not my thing.

Btw this is just me ranting about not liking all the Halloween retcons that are useless. Not knocking the tournament at all. I just don’t like Michael anymore.

Yeah I'm just saying I don't think you're required to factor in later Michaels if you liked the original enough mostly lol you can by your own code of course, but I don't think many other people are going that route anyway

Yea, I have been cherry picking the movie potrayals, like when I voted Ghostface it's mostly when Billy Loomis and Stu were under the mask and were revealed as the killers. It enhanced the whole thing for me. The later ones like Scream 3 fell flat with their reveals, although I do love Emma Roberts in 4

In the regard (cause I actually have seen a lot of these sequels) I'd say leatherface is usually still cool, the movies are just trash lol there have been some not so great portrayals tho
