Bea Priestley Expected To Sign With WWE Following Stardom Departure

Yesterday, Utami Hayashishita defended her World of Stardom Title against Bea Priestley at Stardom’s Yokohama Dream Cinderella event. Hayashishita defeated Priestley for her fourth title defense.

Priestley cut a promo after the match praising Utami and her former Queen’s Quest stablemate Momo Watanabe. Priestley also expressed her love for Hayashishita, Watanabe and Stardom signaling a farewell to the promotion that she has wrestled for since 2017.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that it was the last show for Priestley. He said that Priestley did not re-sign with Stardom, and she did not re-sign with New Japan Pro Wrestling either.

On Priestley’s future, Meltzer confirmed that she is not signing with AEW. Priestley was released by AEW last summer, and she issued a statement expressing her thanks to AEW.

The belief is that Priestley will be signing with WWE through the NXT UK brand. However, this has not been set in stone so far.

Meltzer noted that WWE had been trying to sign Priestley even before she went to Japan.

I'd be surprised if they didn't tbh bc she's worked with them before before going back to Japan. Maybe WWE just had a better one or something idk or maybe they had some heat from when she last worked with them too

I call bs with WWE saying they wanted her since her going back to Japan she's been Wrestling with Stardom for 4 years since 2017 and I started watching Stardom two Years prior and I saw her in other Companies their was never the talk of her being wanted by WWE. I think if everything WWE might of wanted her or desired her when she became Red Belt Champion beating Kagetsu in 2019. She was only the third non-Joshi talent to win that Championship with Alpha Female and Toni Storm being the other two. Overall I like her she can be that Britt Baker type of Heel you want to see get hers and she has plenty of skills as I know. Sometimes she gets into this time where you forget she's even there as a talent it happened in Stardom at times and I hope it doesn't happen to her in the WWE.
