There has been talk of doing Ryback vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 with a Streak vs. Streak build. We've noted before that the CM Punk and Ryback interactions are just teasers. Apparently they're not looking to do anything solid between Punk and Ryback until November or December.

Speaking of The Undertaker, with recent WrestleMania discussions happening, there are some people speculating that Taker may not even perform at WrestleMania 29, meaning last year may have been his last WrestleMania match. While nothing is 100% yet, the feeling among most is that he will return.
Obviously it's just speculation, but would anybody here want to see Taker/Ryback or given Taker's health would you prefer to see actual money matches with Brock/Cena or possibly even Rock? Personally I would go with Lesnar this year then Cena the year after to possibly wrap up his career.

Also, I don't buy that he won't be at this years Mania because i'm pretty sure he's healthy now, no injuries and such just general wear and tear from all the years in the ring. When it's time to hang it up, we'll get the whole bells and whistles i'm sure, not some quiet disappearance off of TV.

Can't see it mayself. Yes Ryback is getting a big push but he is getting quite a slow big push, think he would have to be further along right now to be in line for that slot.

It really depends on how the went about it really. If it's simply Streak vs. Streak, it wouldn't be all that great. It needs proper build up man. Like a year long build up similar to Triple H and Taker.

I personally think this would be a terrible idea. If Ryback has the streak that long, then there's no reason for Undertaker to be the guy to end it, and I really don't want to see his 'Mania streak end now either, needs to stay undefeated.

As for him not competing at 29, I believe he will, just a question of against who?

I'm on board with the idea, but I don't see it happening. I always thought Taker was only facing guys like Shawn and Triple H in his last Wrestlemania matches because of an apparent need to raise the stakes with each bout and, more importantly, because Undertaker's body isn't the old girl it used to be so they want someone more seasoned in the ring with him on the grand stage.

Taker needs to keep the streak. It's his legacy. However, It's time to be done. Have a final feud with somebody like Wade Barrett where Barrett "retires" Undertaker at the Royal Rumble and it gives Barrett a rub.

Ryback should win the IC title at 'Mania. Keep him away from the Undertaker.

They'd be in a stuck situation in a way. You don't really want a vet ending Ryback's streak as that was the mistake they made with Goldberg's streak but you damn well don't want him breaking Taker's streak. So idk it's a interesting idea on one hand but it can be damaging.

If they did it I don't see the problem with him ending Ryback's streak. There is no shame in having it ended by someone like Taker and as long as it was a good match and Ryback gets some rub I don't see the issue.

By damaging I meant imagine if a up and coming heel or face (if Ryback turned heel) they wanted to push big ended Ryback's streak. You make another name if you handle it right which is the same thing they could have done with Goldberg but we saw how that went.

The Undertaker still has quite a few years left in him especially if he is used only once or twice a year to wrestle the big events. I don't think that he will ever lose the streak as it is his and it is what has made him so great and legendary. Undertaker is the only guy I mark out for, ever! Whenever the gongs hit you know your going to see something great. I really don't expect him to face a midcarder at WrestleMania. Generally he has always faced a main eventer. There has been talk of having 'Taker vs Steve Austin at WrestleMania 30 where both retire so let's wait and see. The day Undertaker retires is the day I will take a limited interested in wrestling.

lol Both Austin and 'Taker are in pretty rough shape. I wouldn't really expect them to have a match together. 'Taker has maybe 2 years left in my opinion before he's got to just stop. His match with Triple H probably took a lot out of him really. A Brock Lesnar/Undertaker match might be awesome I think. But I don't think Ryback should be the one to take the streak. Not now at least.

^ Oh I am convinced now that it will never end, there was a time a few years ago when he was facing the likes of Orton and HBK and they made such a big deal of the streak than I thought it is getting closer, but if it hasn't happened yet I doubt it will.

He is getting Brock.

Gotta spread out your big names over the whole PPV. Trips stay gone and noone wants a rematch with Brock anyways.

Noway Taker gets some green guy with no name value at Mania for the streak, first off, nobody is going to buy it. No matter how much you build him up, nobody is going to think he could do something that Trips, HBK, Flair, Diesel, Orton and many others couldn't do it.

Plus I doubt Taker is going to trust his health and safety with someone who is based of solely powermoves. Too many risky bumps for him, it would be dumb. He had to use the cell last Mania because it is easier to work in cages and you just have each other beat each other with chairs isnt' that taxing because you can milk it and have as many breathers as you want.

Personally if it's his last I'd like to see him face Kane just because I think it'd make for great closure.

If Ryback is the guy they see as the next "TOP GUY" then I can see him ending Taker's streak not this year but the following year at WM30. Gives Everyone a full year to see if he really can carry the company. As for this year I think Deezy is right, it's gonna be Lesnar. They have history and Brock can definitely work the kind of match that Taker will need to work just like he did with Cena and Trips.
