I honestly thought Maddox fucked up on purpose, but then again you couldn't tell because of fucking Cole and King talking the whole time. The only time I'm okay with an announcer burying anything was NXT Season 3 when Cole had his gong, that shit was great, but you shouldn't do it on your flagship show, looks so bad.

I didn't quite get Lawler saying "Yeah, who is this guy?" when Maddox introduced himself to the crowd.

Where the fuck has he been over the previous few months. :side:

That segment should've been buried on live TV. Only thing it needed was a fcukgin gong, who ever wrote it, should get a kick in the balls from Jericho and Brad Maddox is fucking clownshoes and a waste of air time.

You have three good talkers in that segment, and it degenreates into a clusterfuck. If this was an old school show, the promoter would walk down to the ring, smack his hand on the apron and tell the boys to GO HOME! and dress them down in front of everybody.

Maddox getting the heat for this is ridiculous. Talk about screwing the new guy.

Lawler and Cole burying the segment is what made it so much worse. If the writers knew that this segment was bad earlier in the day then why not just rewrite it. Or, here is a crazy idea, just let the guys go out there with a basic outline and let them come up with something.

Stephanie McMahon era depends on everytjhing being scripted like a TV show, no room for adlibs or improv.

Just go back to blaming Maddox, he is the new Miz, everything can be his fault.

I think that's what Jericho tried to do, and he did well trying to carry the segment, he was let down by guys that weren't as ready. But they did ok, Cole and King fkd it, undoubtedly.

Jericho did his best to redeem it, agreed 100%. The crowd was getting riled up when he berated Barrett.

Then Maddox came out and the commentary team kind of fudged things up. Jericho's final words summed up the segment perfectly.

Brad Maddox said:
Why don't we get someone out here to get rid of Jerritron, and we can...

Jericho said:
It's already gone.

Well the only thing I know for sure is that the only person whho will remember this segment in a week, or longer is Jericho. Who will most likely put in a book.

Not the first abbortion on WWEtv, not going to be the last.

I know that everything is highly scripted but since the scripted segment was so bad they could have taken a chance and seen how the guys went coming up with something on their own. Couldn't have been any worse that what was delivered and would have been a good learning experience for guys like Barrett and Maddox.

Maddox should leap at the opportunity at being the new Miz, worked out incredibly well for the old Miz.

5 time tag team champion, 2 time US champion, IC Champion, WWE Champion, MITB winner, mainevented WM. Any wrestler would give their left nut for that kind of career. From where he started to where he ended up he has done incredibly well and he was part of the top tag team in wrestling at one time and then the top heel in the company for a time. Yes he has fizzled out a bit now but still if Maddox could have that career he would be over the moon.

Just saying sometimes it's better to not take the first opportunity

I meant Maddox "being the new Miz" that he will have all the blame passed on him and he will not be able to do nothing about it, much like Miz was the brunt of blame for everything that happened with him around through 2007-2011. I don't think Maddox has the talents Miz had, or the thick skin Miz has.

Anyways, I'm not on the Brad Maddox train.
