Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick welcomed the WWE Universe to the first Monday Night RAW of 2023.

We cut backstage where the Judgment Day and the Club brawling which led to refs breaking it up. RAW GM Adam Pearce came up and told both teams to get to the ring because tonight they are putting this feud to bed once and for all, and Rhea Ripley would be banned from ringside under threat of suspension.

Damian Priest pinned Karl Anderson after he and Dominick Mysterio hit a 619 / South of Heaven Combo.

In a backstage segment the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions the Usos(c) announced that they would be putting their titles on the line in an open challenge tonight.

At ringside Zayn caused a distraction which allowed Sikoa to enter the ring and lay Gargano out with a Samoan Spike then he exited the ring. Jey Uso climbed up to the top rope and hit a Frog Splash for the pin.

Carmelo Hayes made his way out to the ring and cut a promo about how Monday Night RAW can officially be known as the A Show since he was now on Monday Nights and Melo don’t miss. He was interrupted by R-Truth who seemed to think that MNR should be called Monday Night Truth if they were talking about renaming the show.

Backstage RAW GM Adam Pearce made his way out to the ring and announced that Asuka and Rhea Ripley would face off to crown a challenger for Bianca Belair’s WWE RAW Women’s Championship at the Royal Rumble PLE.

As if Judgment Day winning the opening six man tag team match earlier in the night wasn’t enough, it would be Ripley who got the win here as well. As Asuka laid her opponent out with a stiff kick to the head she would become distracted by Mysterio at ringside. This allowed Ripley enough time to recover and sneak up behind Asuka and hit the Riptide for the pin.

Austin Theory(c) V Edge - WWE US Championship
The main event of the evening saw the brash WWE US Champion Austin Theory(c) attempt to defend his title against the WWE Hall of Famer the “Rated R Superstar” Edge.
It looked like we were going to have a new WWE US Champion as the challenger had Theory set up for the Spear only for the latter to move out of the way at the last second. This led to Edge crashing face first into one of the middle turnbuckles which allowed Theory to roll him up with a handful of fights for the pin.

Kato dominated and dismantled Adonis very easily and put him away with a Chokebomb.

The duo of Vinci and Kaiser would isolate Andre Chase and laid him out with a Powerbomb/European Uppercut Combo with Vinci getting the pin.

Charlotte Flair(c) V Shayna Baszler w Ronda Rousey
The defending champion seemed to have the match won after trapping Baszler in the Figure 8. Only for Rousey to get on the apron and distract Flair which caused the latter to break the hold and argue with the former.
From here Baszler recovered and locked Flair in the Kirifuda Clutch and Flair passed out in the hold.

RAW GM Adam Pearce addressed the criticism he was receiving as a result of putting Rhea Ripley in a number one contender match. Given that she and her Judgment Day stablemates had made RAW chaotic recently.

He stated that since Dominick Mysterio got involved and provided a distraction in the match, he would have to face Asuka in a match and if she wins then she will be added to the WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Rumble.

And if any member of Judgment Day gets involved they will be suspended.​

The duo of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins isolated Corbin and hit a Spinebuster / Frog Splash Combo with Ford getting the pin.

Backstage the Alba Fyre and Nikki Cross were talking when the trio of Cora Jade and Toxic Attraction came up and trash talked them. This led to Doudrop coming up and backing Fyre & Cross up which led to Jade making fun of her name, the former would laugh and challenge the trio to a match and said her name was Piper Niven.

Following his huge victory against Edge last week, Austin Theory attempted to defend his WWE US Championship in a triple threat match against both Apollo Crews & Axiom.
Theory would throw Crews into Axiom and then attempted and hit A-Town Down on Crews for the pin.

Kevin Owens V Carmelo Hayes V AJ Styles V Finn Balor
Hayes and Styles brawled near the ropes and Balor hit a Shotgun Dropkick on both men and sent them flying through the ropes.
Owens spun Balor around and kicked him in the gut and hit the KO Stunner for the pin.

Michael Cole & Wade Barrett welcomed the WWE Universe to Friday Night Smackdown

Karrion Kross w Scarlett V Rey Mysterio - Winner goes to the main event
Mysterio had Kross set up for the 619 but Scarlett tripped him up which the ref didn’t see and it allowed Kross to recover. From here Kross grabbed Mysterio and hit a Doomsday Saito Suplex for the pin.
Winner: Karrion Kross

Backstage Butch entered the locker room of Indus Sher and attacked Mahal but it was three on one again and he was beaten down. We cut to a different backstage area and it shows Sheamus and Ridge Holland breaking down a locked door that was keeping them in a room. Holland and Sheamus made their way to Butch where he was laying on the floor outside of Indus Sher’s locker room.

Backstage Duke Hudson tried to get revenge by attacking Gunther only for the current WWE IC Champion to lay him out with a chop and then walk off while Andre Chase and Thea Hail checked on him.

Nox got the win with her trademark Shiniest Wizard finisher.

Backstage the now former WWE SD Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair cut a promo about how she would see Baszler at the Rumble for her rematch. Then said that she had talked to GM William Regal and he had agreed to make a match between Flair and Rousey and when Flair wins, Rousey would be banned from the title match at the Rumble.

Sikoa got the win with the Samoan Spike after Zayn distracted Gargano.

Backstage Dabba Kato was walking and he walked through a photoshoot for Maximum Male Models and Maxxine Dupri demanded to know what the hell he was thinking. Kato would laugh and then say he was walking and they were in the way which led to Dupri stating that next week Kato would see what happens when someone gets on the bad side of MMM.

Breaker took Kross out with a Spear, Nakamura laid Breaker out with a Kinshasa.
