Remember, Blaze is always right (other than when he’s wrong) and I said last year cody was losing, and he did. This year he’s winning.

exactly. I always felt Cody needed to suffer some level of adversity prior to winning. the Mania loss and a Brock L was just that.
But losing again kills him forever. And HHH is too smart to do that. Vince was still there for 39, it was not a HHH exclusive decision. HHH isn't gonna do that. Not only does he know that Cody is the guy, but he wants other AEW people to know that you can come to WWE and be a top star and Worlds Champion. This isn't like the Vince days where guys who got over elsewhere get shit on.

The real question is....
What would your reaction be if Cody beats Roman.... only for Priest to then cash in and beat Cody that night and close Mania as Champ? I fully expect Priest to cash in on Drew after he beats Seth but I'd lol so much if it was the Cody.

I’ll probably cancel my peacock and I didn’t before when I stopped watching wwe. I still supported the classic content. Won’t be interested if they fuck this up this time.
I'm anti it but I'd be willing to see how it plays out. Cashing in on Drew thematically fits his character so much more
I’d be fine with that. Cody still beats Roman. Still technically a WWE Champion, and it means he’ll be back in the chase. Giving Cody a meaty new story.
This would be similar to when Moose did that to Alexander’s first TNA title win and that pop when he beats Moose four months later was glorious.
This is to Cody losing to Roman, not the MITB hypothetical.
I was fine with the loss last year after the initial shock because I knew it would come back around again. I really wouldn't expect them to lean towards Rock/Roman, steer back to Cody/Roman because of overwhelming fan support and then have Cody lose again. It would be quite the monumental fuck up if they did.
Yeah, probably about how I feel. Because I’m pretty positive when the rematch happens(which isn’t automatic anymore) then Cody will win and get a proper reign then.
Then Drew comes out and challenges him to a match for both titles, and Cody beats him also
