Trios Main Event
The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) versus AEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz

In a star-studded main event, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks team to challenge rivals Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz. Santana and Ortiz made their mark in All Elite Wrestling one month ago by assaulting The Young Bucks, as well as The Lucha Brothers. Meanwhile, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho's storied rivalry goes through multiple companies but in AEW - Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega which positioned him to win the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at All Out.

Now these rivalries come together into this trios match as the first main event in Dynamite history. Let's also not forget of Kenny Omega's ongoing rivalry with Jon Moxley as those two are set to have their first ever match together at Full Geat.

Inaugural AEW Women's World Championship Match
Riho versus “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose

Most things will be a first - including crowning the first ever AEW Women's World Champion. Riho has defined a small but mighty personality with an undefeated singles record including one three-way victory over Rose herself. Riho's victory over Hikaru Shida put her in this position while Nyla Rose displayed dominance at All Out's Casino Battle Royal eliminating 10 other women.

Can Riho stop The Native Beast with her current momentum or will Nyla Rose's strength and size advantage lead to becoming the first champion?

Fight For the Fallen Rematch
“Hangman” Adam Page versus Kip Sabian

Kip Sabian and Adam Page were the first two men in All Elite Wrestling history to win respective matches at our Double or Nothing Buy In. They went one on one at the inaugural Fight for the Fallen, and Adam Page was the victor that night. Kip Sabian requested this rematch on the big stage to prove himself and come back from the loss to Adam Page.

It's worth noting that Hangman is set for some time on the microphone to address his loss at All Out as well as personal issues with PAC.

Tag Team Gauntlet Featuring Competitors of the World Tag Team Tournament
Best Friends, Jurassic Express, The Lucha Brothers, Private Party, TheHybrid2, and SoCal Uncensored

There is one championship that will not be crowned come the end of Dynamite #1, which is the AEW World Tag Team Championship. A seven team tournament begins next week, which also includes Evil Uno and Stu Grayson who have a first round bye. These six teams will look to gain momentum, and their performances will be impacting their general tournament seeding.

According to those behind the scenes - The Young Bucks will not be participating due to their loss at All Out. Santana and Ortiz will not compete due to not having a sanctioned tag team match before the tournament begins.

Singles Match
Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) versus Brandon Cutler

AEW is set to offer opportunties and this match is one of those. Young upstart, with seemingly zero fans, MJF will have an opportunity to impress on TNT. Brandon Cutler has only been seen at Double Or Nothing's Casino Battle Royal where he was eliminated by none other than MJF. Now, he can get revenge while also showing AEW fans just who he is.

Both men have a chance to come away with their first singles victory, who will be the victor?

The First Dynamite Match
Cody, accompanied by Brandi Rhodes, versus SoCal Uncensored’s Christopher Daniels

Cody is already announced to be challenging Chris Jericho at Full Gear 2019, and it is up to him to keep the momentum on his side. Cody requested to be the first match of Dynamite's history, and it was Daniels that offered to be the man he shared the ring with. Christopher Daniels said he is going into this one with something to prove, and he hopes a victory over Cody also gives him a chance at Chris Jericho. It is worth noting that these two have met before, which lead to Cody's first Ring of Honor title victory.

This will be a battle of respect and only one man can be the first winner in Dynamite's history.

I always wanted to dive into AEW at the beginning, but I never knew how to book a promotion that had never been booked properly before and I couldn't plan ahead of time with PPV benchmarks.

Excited to see how you shape AEW and how much it retains its originality versus becoming today's product!

Cody with Brandi Rhodes defeated Christopher Daniels in 14:53
The first ever match on Dynamite pit Cody going one on one with a former rival Christopher Daniels of SoCal Uncensored. Action took time to heat up with both men taking in the hot crowd of Washington DC. The match was full of close kick outs by both competitors with each signature move laying the other out. It is to note that Brandi Rhodes' involvement tonight was nothing more than cheering and looking for crowd support towards Cody.

Daniels seemingly had the match won with Angel's Wings, but when that was not enough - he went to the top rope. The Best Moonsault Ever connected right into Cody's knees though. The American Nightmare capitalized with the Cross Rhodes for the victory.

Cody’s win though was quickly overshadowed by AEW World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. Jericho slid into the ring with his belt into the back of his number one contender. He followed up with his new finishing Judas Effect to make his statement tonight. Jericho taunted the crowd and Brandi, saying the words to Brandi that her husband is not a worthy challenger.

“He’s Expecting Us”
A video package aired of the fit 6’3” Wardlow in wrestling training. He showed domination against multiple opponents with each training partner being pinned. In the end, Wardlow is approached by a women who says that they are expected at Dynamite soon.

Best Friends Won The Tag Team Tournament Gauntlet in 22:03
** W/L Records Unaffected **

The gauntlet began with The Lucha Brothers and Private Party, which showed the quick-pace action that can be seen in AEW’s tag team division. These two times were in the ring for roughly five minutes, and it was anyones's match until the three count. Private Party set up for their signature legdrop / splash combination, but Fenix impressively ran across the top rope to take down Isaiah Kassidy with a hurricanrana. Pentagon capitalized with the Fear Factor on Marq Quen to continue.

The Lucha Brothers' next opponents were Angelico and Jack Evans. The same quick-pace continued on between Fenix and Evans, but Pentagon and Angelico showed strong strikes and technical skill. Their three minutes of competition showed an equal fight, but The Lucha Brothers' pushed forward. Rey Fenix capitalized with the Fenix Driver to put away Jack Evans.

The fourth team to enter was SoCal Uncensored, but their entrance was quick in an effort to save The Lucha Brothers. Fenix and Pentagon were attacked from behind by three men with masks similar to Evil Uno of The Dark Order. The assault lasted long enough for Rey Fenix to be Double Hand Chokeslammed by a big man, and Pentagon to fall to a wheelbarrow facebuster - cutter combination.

Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky waited The Lucha Brothers’ agreement to continue before the fourth match of this gauntlet continued on. This was the shortest bout in this gauntlet due to The Dark Order's assault. Fenix was pinned by Kazarian after the SCU Later knee to the face.

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, with Marko Stunt, were next out following an impressive performance from The Lucha Brothers. Luchasaurus showed himself as a game changing competitor as it took both members of SCU to lower and drop him. Jungle Boy fell to the Ace of Spades from Scorpio Sky.

The gauntlet came down to the fourth entrants So Cal Uncensored and the sixth team Chuck Taylor and Trent? - Best Friends. It can be argued that this is the most competitive part of this gauntlet given their seven and a half minutes in the ring together. SCU connected with their SCU Later finisher, but Trent? broke up the pinfall just as the referee's hand grazed the mat for 3. Frankie Kazarian was pinned following The Deal from Chuck Taylor and a 450 Splash from Trent?. In the midst of that, Scorpio Sky was stopped with a big boot from Taylor during the pinfall.

Best Friends celebration was met with their rivals Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, along with the three mystery masked men, on stage. Taylor and Trent? invited their rivals to the ring, but it seems their meeting will have to wait.

Bad Blood Boils Backstage
Production offices were forced to go backstage as Bea Priestly and Dr. Britt Baker DMD were being held apart by women of the AEW roster. Britt Baker broke through Sadie Gibbs and Allie, jumping to continue her fight with Priestly. Then, security and referees came to officially break up the backstage fight.

“Hangman” Adam Page defeated Kip Sabian in 08:15
Adam Page and Kip Sabian previously met at Fight For The Fallen with a Page victory. Sabian's desire to be the best is was the driving force of wanting this rematch. Sabian showed promise to win multiple times including his Death Stomp from the top rope. The two called back to their original encounter with Sabian powerbombing Page onto the ramp this time. However, that was not the only call back as the result was the exact same. Hangman connected with the Dead Eye for the win.

“You can’t avoid this any longer.”
Adam Page was given the opportunity with a microphone, which he took a moment to thank the fans for their support at All Out. Page admitted that he could have been more prepared, but his loss is only going to be a small chapter in the rise of Hangman Adam Page. Hangman believes his next chapter is winning what should have been his first AEW match, and he is calling out PAC! PAC will be on Dynamite next week, and Page is expecting a response.

Nyla Rose defeated Riho in 11:32 to win the AEW Women’s World Championship
Riho and Nyla Rose met in a classic david versus goliath situation with the opportunity to the first Women's Champion in AEW history. Riho put herself on the line with hopes of defeating Rose including a crossbody both off the steps and the top rope to the outside. However, the action outside the ring allowed a dominant display from Rose swinging Riho into the steel barricade. In the end, Riho's experience could not match up to Rose's size. The Beast Bomb laid out Riho thus crowning Rose as the first champion in the division.

“You came to my turf, now I am coming to yours.”
The IWGP United States Championship will be defended on Dynamite next week in a surprising turn of events. Juice Robinson appeared reminiscing about how Jon Moxley went to ‘his turf’ to take ‘his championship.’ Robinson will not be waiting for NJPW’s Kings of Pro-Wrestling, and he is coming to Moxley’s turf now for his championship back.

Tough Losses Can Gain The Right Eye
A moment was shown with Kip Sabian walking backstage following his defeat earlier tonight. He was approached by Penelope Ford who whispered to Sabian as both the man and woman smiled.

"Dungeons and Dragons are child's play, and this is a real mans sport."
Maxwell Jacob Friedman had an opportunity to air some thoughts about Brandon Cutler before their match. MJF wants to be thanked for eliminating Cutler at Double Or Nothing's Casino Battle Royal because the crowd didn't need to see the mediocrity of his cosplay. Maxwell thanked Cody, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks by name for the opportunity in MJF. He acknowledged that he was here for a real mans sport, not to play dungeons and dragons with a 'creepy adult.' Friedman is going to defeat Cuter tonight then continue to make The Elite proud.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman - MJF defeated Brandon Cutler in 04:56
The words from MJF before the match created a quick start from Cutler. Brandon went to work with quick punches, chops, and kicks which resulted in Max going outside of the ring. However, the attack continued with the suicide dive through the middle rope to MJF. That momentum didn't last long after Friedman dropped Cutler throat first into the middle rope. Friedman slowed down the pace to his liking from there with targeted attacks on the neck as well as Cutler's right arm. The attack on the arm allowed MJF to defeat Cutler with the Salt of the Earth Armbar.

Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz defeated The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) in 21:09
This trios main event was a big occasion with plenty happening before the match. Kenny Omega was only involved within the first half of the match as Jon Moxley appeared in the crowd, which put Omega on the hunt of his rival. The cameras chose to follow Omega and Moxley for a couple of minutes, but Omega speared Moxley through arena doors that lead to the streets of Washington DC. That was the lost we saw of those two.

Most of the action beyond that was between The Young Bucks, Santana, and Ortiz. Excalibur dropped the info that both teams told him they're the best at what they do, and all four men were doing it all to prove it. Chris Jericho's time in the ring was spent on working into the crowd, which also put him on the receptive end of The Young Bucks' heated comeback. There were multiple close pinfalls during that time including the BTE Trigger on the World Heavyweight Champion.

Tag team presense may have been on display, but it was not enough to take down a veteran like Jericho. Santana and Ortiz laid out Matt Jackson outside the ring with their finishing Street Sweeper outside of the ring. Chris Jericho hit the Judas Effect on Nick Jackson to win the match.

The Winds Change Early in AEW
After the match, Chris Jericho's AEW future became extremely apparent. Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz continued to assault The Young Bucks which brought out Cody. Cody entered the ring ready to bring the fight, and when the numbers became too much - Dustin Rhodes joined the fray as well. Momentum was on the side of The Rhodes Brothers with powerslams and uppercuts to their adversaries. However, Cody’s momentum was cut when he was hit with an exposed elbow across the jaw. This time not a Judas Effect from the world's champion, but Bad News Bennett making his first pro wrestling appearance since 2016!

Everyone is in shock with "Holy Shit" chants going through the arena. Dustin takes a second to process the return before turning his attention Bennett. He is cut off now though being superkicked in the knee by Kip Sabian followed by one to the head from Penelope Ford. It was a true display of power as the assault ended with a second Judas Effect to Cody tonight, as he was being held by Santana and Ortiz.

There were no questions at the end of the night of this alignment. Jericho, Sabian, Ford, Bennett, Santana, and Ortiz all raised each other's arms with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion front and center. The show ending with words from Bennett: "We are The Winds of Change."

I will say this: Bad News Barrett is an improvement on Jake Hager imo already. Plus has a link to Jericho due to NXT. Also like the idea of NJPW coming into AEW a lot earlier with Juice losing to Moxley next week

Opening up the first Dynamite with one of the "faces" of AEW (at the time), Cody and a known entity like Daniels is actually a pretty smart idea and a fun little match. Of course Cody has to win because he's kind of a big deal right now and then Jericho attacking him afterwards is a simple but effective way to start and also build up that future match.

Hmm.. wonder who the woman with Wardlow is..

YES. BEST FRIENDS. Give them the tag titles. Pppppplleeeeeaassseeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hangman and Sabian is a good way to put over Page on the first show and also making it a rematch makes it better than just a random match too. So nothing wrong with any of that. Ooh - PAC/Hangman? Sounds fun.

Putting the Women's Title on a heel monster like Nyla isn't a bad idea at this point. Especially if she's built up strong.

Interesting to see NJPW already being represented on AEW TV. Moxley/Juice is a cool match for next week.

Obviously MJF is going to be a future star, so again good to get him on the first show and have it be a decisive victory over Cutler.

Big win for Jericho/Santana & Ortiz - oh wow, Bennett. Nice little twist! And certainly an upgrade to Hager, lol. And Kid Sabian I guess is taking over the Sammy's role in what was the Inner Circle. Wind's of Change is an interesting name.

Fun start Rasky! Nice hook at the end of the show especially!

Let's see what you have in mind for AEW Dynamite's world premiere. I really like the focus on the layout, right down to it being a new column on Cageside Seats. It allows you to put over your own perspective, and truly allows for room for creativity. I wouldn't mind seeing some comical quips and responds here or there to your own booking.

Cody opening Dynamite pretty much had to happen, though I wouldn't have had him kick off this brand new era for wrestling on TNT against an twilight era veteran in Christopher Daniels. I think what was so fruitful about Cody and Sammy Guevara's match on the debut AEW Dynamite was their ability to look back on it and focus on the participants' progression since then...well, okay, maybe now less so when it comes to Cody.

I'm curious to see how you introduce Wardlow, and how that could differ from reality where he hooked up with Maxwell Jacob Friedman so suddenly.

As longtime Best Friends fans from their days oddballed up together in PWG, I'm glad to see Chuck Taylor and Trent? get the nod to challenge for the eventual AEW World Tag Team Championship. I'm not too sure about the idea of them against Dark Order after the big miss they had at All Out, but I'm willing to see where things go.

The women's brawl really set in stone how strange the original AEW Women's Division truly was.

Hangman Page getting the win over Kip Sabian worked fine in establishing him, and I suspect he and PAC will head to a match at Full Gear. I wouldn't mind you trying with Kip, given how focal he was initially booked as the primary UK representative in 2019. That said, you also have Bea Priestley at your disposal, when she's back from Japan.

Nyla Rose beating Riho is actually a very smart decision. It defies the Davina vs Goliath construct with the ultimate underdog victory, but Nyla as the first AEW Women's World Champion could be very historically imposing in years to come, had that been the decision they went with.

The decision to include New Japan Pro-Wrestling despite their issues with AEW's launching is a game-changer that will help this stand out from the pack. That said, I don't know how to feel about it yet, with little backstory. Juice Robinson challenging Jon Moxley for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship is a strong match that has legs to headline, though, I suppose. I just wonder what Moxley's first order of business is, as unquestionably one of the leading stars of the company.

Easy decision pairing Kip Sabian with Penelope Ford. I guess Joey Janela decided not to join?

Maxwell Jacob Friedman's first exposure on national television worked really well, particularly against Brandon Cutler. I've never been a fan of Cutler's, and the Dungeons and Dragons gimmick really soured me. So this was hilarious, and I really liked the idea he was going to make the Elite proud with this win. I wouldn't mind you giving MJF and Cody a lot more build before severing ties, as I think there's a lot of room for MJF and Young Bucks, Hangman Page and co. hijinks in the coming months.

The Inner Circle joining forces is definitely a hook that AEW Dynamite sorely needed in its' first show. Subtle change with Stu Bennett coming in over Jake Hager, who is a vast improvement, but one has to wonder whether he would return as an active performer even as early as 2019. Good heat with the Elite compromised by the joined forces. I'm not sure about Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford joining cohoots with them, but I do like the Winds of Change faction name. It gave more of a Four Horsemen vibe from this show, and I like this twist completely.

Really strong stuff.

Spears and Blanchard cut a short promo after the match. Blanchard promised a victory for Shawn Spears against Sammy Guevara, and that win will put them back on track following defeat at All Out.

Bea Priestly def. Renee Michelle via Diving Leg Drop

Bea Priestly’s victory was cut short when Dr. Britt Baker DMD came rushing through the curtain towards their ring. The brawl was short lived as security separated the rivals.

STRONGHEARTS (CIMA and T-HAWK) def. The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake) via Meteora

Jack Evans def. Joey Janela via 630 Senton.

TheHybrid2’s began an assault on Janela, which was stopped by Darby Allin. Janela, hesitant at first, shakes hands with Allin to close out the first edition of Dynamite.

SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) defeated TheHybrid2 in 10:37; SoCal Uncensored Advances in the AEW World Tag Team Tournament
The tournament to crown inaugural AEW World Tag Team Championships is officially underway to kick off AEW Dynamite. The team of Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky showed their experience, but it was not an easy fight versus Jack Evans and Angelico. In short - both teams were able to show themselves as contenders with experience and strong will to win. Jack Evans was able to show how his innovative style that brought him indie fame while this is was a chance for Angelico to gain mainstream attention. SoCal Uncensored were better equipped for the victory tonight though. Kazarian’s knee blasted into Angelico’s face off of SCU Later for the win.

Exclusive Footage of Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega’s Brawl Last Week
Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley brawled into the streets of Washington DC last week. The punches and kicks went on for about a half mile before a random civilian was forced out of their car by Moxley. The brawl ended with Kenny Omega suplexing Moxley onto the hood of the car from the roof, and the local police showing up at the same time. It was reported through Jim Ross that AEW paid off fines sent out by the District of Columbia, and the encounter between the two at Full Gear will now be no disqualification.

“We Are The Winds of Change”
Chris Jericho with the AEW World Heavyweight Championship was flanked by Santana and Ortiz before introducing Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford, and Bad News Bennett separately. Jericho calls everyone in the ring with him something similar to an inner circle; the people he trusts most in this company and the people who will create the winds of change early in AEW.

Jericho runs down each member of the new Winds of Change faction and the reason for their inclusion. He calls Kip Sabian an underrated man with endless possibilities to be the future of AEW. He says something similar about Penelope Ford, commending her from moving on from a bad boy to a superbad man. Jericho ends this statements of the 'real AEW power couple' that Nyla Rose should watch her back because Penelope Ford will be the future champion.

The champion reveals he personally was involved in negotiations to bring Santana and Ortiz into AEW. He calls them the best tag team within all of professional wrestling, and he is going to see to the fact that they’re future champions also. So much so that fixing their lack of inclusion in the AEW World Tag Team Tournament is first on the Winds of Change agenda.

Finally we are reintroduced to Bad News Bennett with 'Welcome Back' chants from the Boston crowd. Jericho credits Bennett for inspiring this name for this hexad before calling him one of Jericho's greatest accomplishments. Jericho knew Bennett would always accomplish anything put in front of him, and there is nothing in AEW that Bad News Bennett can not do.

Chris Jericho's Winds of Change introduction doesn't continue beyond that, just as Bad News Bennett was planned to speak about Jericho. Cody's entrance to the stage showed his anger of last week's attack. Pacing back and forth with the Winds of Change waiting in the ring before he is joined by Dustin Rhodes, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson. Four on five was better odds than the one, so The Young Bucks, Cody, and Dustin Rhodes made their way to the ring. A brawl was quickly underway with Penelope Ford retreating from the ring.

Eventually, the numbers versus the Winds of Change were evened by Maxwell Jacob Friedman of all people. The Young Bucks seem to have some shock, but MJF is following up on his words of being thankful for Cody and The Elite. Each member of The Elite took out a member of the Winds of Change leaving Cody to go face to face with Jericho. Cody hooked Chris Jericho into the Cross Rhodes, but the champion was pulled out of the ring by Santana and Ortiz. The Winds of Change would retreat with The Elite, Dustin Rhodes, and MJF standing tall while the latter prepared for singles action next.

MJF defeated Christian Casanova in 09:04
MJF put an open challenge to any Boston professional wrestler as he was determined to use the platform given to him for others. It was Christian Casanova - 25 year old Boston native who was able to put up quite the fight. Casanova seemed to have the crowd in the palm of his hand with high-impact maneuvers with quick action. Casanova connected with a Leg Drop across the back of MJF, but that was not enough for a win. MJF did use heel maneuvers for the win despite his alliance with The Elite. MJF raked the eyes of Casanova then brought him down to The Salt of the Earth Armbar to submit Casanova.

“I am All Elite, I am with The Elite.”
MJF’s second submission victory was followed up with pledging his allegiance to both All Elite Wrestling and The Elite. MJF acknowledged this was not like him, but he will not watch the people who gave him opportunity be knocked down without a fighting chance. MJF is going to prove himself to everyone in AEW that he is a man of his word.

“It’s time the world knows who the hell I am.”
A vignette aired featuring Mercedes Martinez. The Joker of All Out’s Casino Battle Royal mentioned her time across the independent scenes of wrestling as one of the best women to enter the sport. She feels the right opportunity never came to her, but AEW will be where everyone knows the name Mercedes Martinez. It starts next week as she goes one on one with Big Swole.

Shawn Spears w/ Tully Blanchard defeated Sammy Guevara in 10:32
Shawn Spears and Sammy Guevara teamed together at Fight for the Fallen, but championship opportunities easily led to that previous respect out the window. Guevara wowed with a suicide dive immediately followed up with a moonsault off the apron. Guevara's quickness was stopped though with the size and veteran defense of Spears. Most of the match moved slower as Spears was the one on offense. Guevara was able to kep the crowds attention as they cheered for any momentum he could gain towards the end. The Chairman hit the C4 Death Valley Driver to come away with the win.

“We are known for making opportunities for ourselves.”
Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard announced their intentions for Spears to become AEW World Heavyweight Champion after the match. The Chairman made note that he wanted another match with Cody, and him being champion is the way to do it. It seems to make sense as their singles winning records are similar to when Cody was announced as the number one contender to Chris Jericho’s title. The challenge is laid out to Chris Jericho for a championship match next week with Spears then defeating Cody at Full Gear.

Riho and Dr. Britt Baker DMD defeated Bea Priestly and AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose in 14:39
AEW’s short lifespan has already developed two heated rivalries between four women. Each woman held their own in the match as Nyla Rose played a dominant monster, Bea Priestly worked most of the match, Britt Baker proved her in-ring work, and Riho quickly became a lovable underdog. Those roles lead to a pretty standard tag team layout with Riho taking a lot of offense from the opposing team. That did however strongly put the crowd behind Riho, which resulted in a big pop for a tag to Britt Baker. There was also some issue with Priestly and Rose with both women wanted to be the ones to inflict damage. The match ended as Riho ducked under a knee to roll up Priestly for the win.

Outsmarting the Native Beast
A big victory quickly stopped as an uneasy Priestly knocks down Riho from behind. The four woman brawl was short as Britt Baker moved from a chair that resulted in Priesty hitting Nyla Rose in the back. The champion quickly became enraged as Britt Baker and Riho slowly backed out of the ring.

Priestly tries to explain but that hit - paired with losing the match - resulted in The Native Beast laying out her tag team partner with the Beast Bomb. Rose stayed in the seated position staring down both Britt Baker DMD and Riho. It is apparent that Nyla Rose does not need friends and her title is something she will need to hold onto tight.

A Battle Built on Respect
Darby Allin and Joey Janela were filmed to announce their tag team match versus TheHybrid2 coming up on the next edition of AEW Dark. They also announce that they will have a one on one match next week on Dynamite from Philadelphia, which the two described as a chance to become the next breed of wrestlers that Philadelphia idolizes.

PAC defeated QT Marshall in 05:34
PAC and QT Marshall seemed to have been a way to get both men on television more than anything. QT Marshall was described by commentary as a hidden gem who is all for helping the next crop of talent while getting his own opportunities now. This short affair was mainly based on PAC dominating with Marshall, which was to be expected. Quick witted comments towards QT added some entertainment into The Bastard's impressive performance. PAC's win came off the Brutalizer improving his singles record.

“I Accept!”
PAC's celebration was cut short with Adam Page's entrance with Hangman going straight down to the ring through his shooting pyro. PAC had a microphone in hand though, telling Page to stay out of the ring and he will give Hangman what he wants. The UK native has plans though with a desire to embarrass Hangman in Charleston, West Virginia, just outside of Page's hometown. PAC said that Adam Page needs to be thankful that he has the time to prepare, but there is no chance it changes the inevitable - PAC will walk away with the victory.

“I Accept! (Part Two)”
Chris Jericho requested time with Alex Marvez for a rather big announcement. He is accepting Shawn Spears’ challenge for an AEW World Heavyweight Championship match next week in Dynamite’s main event. Jericho said he has no issues with Spears, and this is The Chairman’s opportunity to be his own wind of change in AEW. However, in a backhanded comment: Jericho only accepted this challenge to prove anything Cody can do.. The Worlds Champion can do better.

Jon Moxley defeated Juice Robinson in 25:33; Jon Moxley retains the IWGP United States Championship
A huge match for the main event of Dynamite as this is Jon Moxley's first sanctioned match in AEW as well his challenger Juice Robinson. Worth noting: this match featured plenty of action outside of the ring along with some weapon usage by both men. Excalibur described matched of this magnitude results in lenient officiating. Beyond that, it was an even contest trading offense and defense between champion and challenger. Robinson showed off his eccentric behavior playing to the crowd when he was on the offense. This was Jon Moxley's night to remain champion though. Moxley defeated Robinson with the Paradgim Shift onto an open chair to retain the championship.

A Violent Feud Continues to Heat Up
The show ends with Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley face to face. Moxley plays to the crowd before being Omega kneed his face. Omega's attack didn't end as he took the steel chair used by Moxley against him as he slammed his knee into the steel. The show ends with Omega standing tall over Moxley with a seemingly mixed reaction from the crowd.

AEW Dynamite - October 9, 2019:

I can tell that you are striving to not stray too far from the general booking pattern this soon into Dynamite's run, which can be pretty good in terms of establishing a base first before differing from reality too much. It's definitely not a bad strategy, but I do await what changes we see from the eventual card for Full Gear.

SoCal Uncensored are clear favorites to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament, and to have a match like this to open the show is fine to get over the action-packed and excitement aspects one would come to expect. The Hybrid2 are tragic victims of being crammed onto a roster full of talents. Hopefully you dedicate more screentime to them, as they had a lot more potential than were given in the early years.

I think I voiced my thoughts on the Winds of Change last week, in that it is interesting you have swapped out some members for undoubtedly superior replacements. Bad News Bennett probably still had a lot left in the tank, but one has to wonder if he still had what it took to compete on a big league level. After all, he was inactive for a few years there. Kip Sabian is criminally underrated, though it does make me curious how things work out for Sammy Guevara elsewhere. It seems we have a natural feud to establish Chris Jericho's group opposite the Elite, and I do hope we see a longer stay for Cody and Maxwell Jacob Friedman's relationship before the inevitable heel turn takes place.

Very cheeky to plug the future Carmelo Hayes in on Dynamite, and I do have to wonder if you have longer term ideas in mind for Christian Casanova in AEW.

As much as I'm not the biggest fan of Mercedes Martinez as a worker or on the mic, it will be good to see her in this incarnation of the company, where you are light on the ground for American star power. I wonder how you will book Big Swole in the short-term. Logic says Martinez goes over next week.

Shawn Spears is unquestionably one of your bigger stars right now, but I don't see him as being much of one in the long-term future. Him getting the win over Sammy Guevara worked fine, but I'm not too certain how I feel about him losing out to Spears at this point. Spears and Tully Blanchard never felt like too much of a fun tandem when they were aligned, either. Spears against Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship sounds pretty laughable to me. I don't see Jericho losing, but I guess this is as safe a first defense as you can get.

I hope we do get to see more than one women's match per show. More focus on different women's storylines would be pretty cool to see. Riho and Dr. Britt Baker DMD going over Bea Priestley and Nyla Rose worked fine, but may have gone a little too long. That said, it worked in getting the next AEW Women's World Championship challenger ready for Nyla. I hope you pull the eventual heel turn on Britt, as she was always insufferable as a babyface.

Joey Janela and Darby Allin is a late 2010s indy fan dream. They probably had a great string of matches, none of which I actually saw. I've not doubt it'll be fun, and it's wise to have it take place in Philadelphia, too.

PAC going over QT Marshall was alright. I never rated QT that much, so I'm fine with the result if it means PAC gets put over. Interesting that you booked PAC and Hangman Page's rematch for a Dynamite rather than Full Gear. I think it's something of a misfire to leave that off the pay-per-view, though. It makes sense with the story, but doesn't make too much sense from a business standpoint. Should be a good main event though.

Jon Moxley going over Juice Robinson made for a bit of an odd main event, especially with how long it went. I think dedicating so much time to an outsider title like the IWGP United States Championship, let alone in the main event, works to the detriment of AEW on their second show. Maybe a little further down the line it makes sese. At least it works in the favour of relations between AEW and NJPW. Probably wise to see Kenny Omega and Moxley booked to further their feud in the show closing angle. It is probably your biggest feud for Full Gear, and shouldn't be trifled with too much.

Bad News Bennett spoke after the match where he says that everyone has long-awaited his return to pro wrestling, and he made a quick example out of Massachsutes' native Mark Sterling. Bennett promises bad news will be delivered to any man stepping in the ring with him.

The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) defeated Alex Reynolds and John Silver via Fatality

The Dark Order’s victory was cut short by Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. running down to the ring. Uno and Grayson left the ring to avoid confrontation with their new rivals.

Joey Janela would not celebrate with Darby Allin after the match. Janela will shake Darby’s hand once Janela gets a singles victory over Allin on Dynamite.
