In Due Time

Lyrics
Pacing aimlessly,
With my mind in unrest
Unsure of what may come.
What have I done to bring this down on me?
Helpless to make this undone

All in due time, see the world through different eyes.
All in due time, the shadows will give way to light.

How much more can I give of myself,
as these walls close in on me?
As I slip down into this despair
(into this despair),
There is nothing to attain

What victory
(what victory)
When my soul is weak,
(is weak)
where does my help come from?

All in due time, see the world through different eyes.
I see the world through different eyes.
All in due time, shadows will give way, give way to light.

All that we suffer through leads to determination.
The trials we all go through gives us the strength to carry on.
Something within us burns, desire feeds the will to live.
A reason to believe I will see redemption.

All in due time, see the world through different eyes
I see the world through different eyes
All in due time, the shadows will give way to light.
All in due time.

The New Awakening
Lyrics
Run the race that will lead to nowhere fast
Trapped in the haze of this mindless false reality
Wandering a path laid out by fools
That they call "progression" where chaos rules

There is more to life than this
We are more than just this flesh
We are alive and our time has come
For a new awakening

Come death, come suffering, I will not live in fear
In this fleeting life where time escapes us
The path of least resistance is a slow, quiet death
I'd rather burn out than fade away

There is more to life than this
We are more than just this flesh
We are alive and our time has come
For a new awakening

I would rather die than live my life in fear
Out of step, no regrets in the new awakening

I will not live in fear
Live life with no regrets
I will not live in fear
I will not live in fear

There is more to life than this
We are more than just this flesh
We are alive and our time has come
For a new awakening

I'd rather burn out than fade away

Beyond the Flames

Lyrics
tep back to see the vision
Seduction of our minds
The skin becomes illusion
She pulls me down and I fall behind
The weakness of flesh is to settle for less than we
Have the potential to be
Song of the sirens call

There is a fire within her eyes
Blinding my senses
(Now I am searching)
For what's beyond the flames

What drags us down to ruin
Where is the power that ignites within
Seeking the substance that can't be corrupted or changed
We remain beyond the flame

Her dark embrace will suffocate
Choking my senses
(Now I am searching)
For what's beyond the flames

There is a fire within her eyes
Blinding my senses
(Now I am searching)
For what's beyond the flames

Now it's just a touch, then she feels a rush
Her dark seduction will suffocate

Her dark embrace will suffocate
Choking my senses
(Now I am searching)
For what's beyond the flames

There is a fire within her eyes
Blinding my senses
(Now I am searching)
For what's beyond the flames

This is Killswitch Engage's sixth studio album, and the third to feature Jesse Leach. After Howard Jones left the band in 2011 due to diabetes, Killswitch got Jesse Leach to be the lead singer of the band. Jesse though, was the singer who appeared on the first two studio albums of Killswitch Engage , which were Killswitch Engage(self titled) and Alive or Just Breathing. The album was well received by many critics, reaching over 3 stars by About.com, Metal Sucks, and Loudwire. Metacritic gave the album a 78/100. On it's first week, the album has sold over 48,000 copies in the United States of America. It also debuted on number 7 on the Billboard 200, and number 1 in both the Top Hard Rock Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart.

I personally enjoy this album. While it may not contain Howard Jones, who was the singer I listened to when I started to like the band, Leach is a great singer in his own right. It has what I expect from Killswitch Engage, heavy and fast guitar work, screaming and melodic singing, and great lyrics. It's not the band's best album, but it is one that's worth buying without a doubt. My favorite song on the album being Beyond the Flames, I personally love the lyrics on that song and guitar work. Of course it is not the best album of all time, but it is my favorite in 2013 so far, can't wait to see what the next step for Killswitch Engage is.

:obama: That's all, wrote this review on another site as well, same username and everything in case anybody wants to try and compare the two reviews.
