The AEW Rampage commentary team will now be a rotating one.

During a podcast interview Monday, Ricky Starks said he was a permanent replacement for Mark Henry. However, that is not the case as AEW will be using a rotation of commentators instead.

It's unknown how the rotation will work and who will be involved. The current team includes Excalibur, Taz and Chris Jericho. No reason was given for the change.

Starks sat in on last week's show, taped after Dynamite in Newark, New Jersey. The current FTW Champion and Team Taz member is a frequent guest commentator on both Dark and Dark: Elevation. CM Punk has also sat in on Rampage commentary as well.

It's presumed that Henry will now move to the backstage interviewer position, something he has done since Rampage started.

"I am definitely proud of AEW, the work I have done in AEW and the work that I continue to do. I think so much they appreciate me that they made me a permanent commentator for Rampage, replacing Mark (Henry)," he said.

A 4 man booth is too big IMO. Three would be the limit for me. 2 permanent and one rotating occasional guest. Hell Joey Styles carried the AEW commentary for a long time.

I'd have Wednesday night be Tony & Excalibur + guest

Fridays Excalibur & Mark Henry + guest

And Monday and Tuesday Taz & Excalibur

I'll save Jim Ross for the PPVS & sit down interviews.
