its more the fact that in NJPW Jungle Boy is never ever in HW fic, he's a JR fighting for the HW title. its a bad look and hes gonna look frail

Might also be a case of anybody else from the upper card was already put in place for the PPV and/or SANADA came in a bit late for FDII.
Either way, it probably gonna end up being a cog in the heel turn from Jungle Boy against Hook anyways.
The thing about this is though, that it does work with an opponent like SANADA. He might be the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, but he ain't Okada or Tanahashi, which are both on the same card in high profile singles Matches too.

2- you make a good point about Sanada being new territory as a champion. He also was or is (memory is hazy) feuding with Hiromu so there is actually precedent for him to take on smaller guys, forgot about that.
3 - He's probably gonna lose very badly and rage at Hook and try to go after his title. and succeed.
