I think Tony realizes that while Nana has traditionally always been a heel faction manager he’s been a part of the package has gotten swerve over so turning Babyface have him just manage swerve and the embassy can go on without them or cage could also go solo and I’m a mixed on what I think cage should do here.
yeah im not sure what that faction does once Swerve wins now that he is face, but we shall see

Honestly, Cage just finally got some due recognition from AEW and that’s made me really happy. If they want cage to lead the embassy by himself and go full heel and attack swerve following the title win, everyone wins, I think.

I can’t tell you how much that Jay white match and segment popped me seeing it in person. And the funny thing is I called a great deal of it.

The lady that went to revolution that was sitting next to me with her husband that had that giant Darby Allin sting sign so we immediately started talking because like I was like yeah I’m just letting you know I’m gonna be rooting for switchblade in that match and and then the rest of the show we pretty much continued to talk, but the funny part is that Jay actually got me because before they even extended their hands out, I actually was like shake his hand because I thought that’s where the story was going because I was like OK so Darby‘s gonna give him the respect for beating them and then when they put the hand out, I was like well I called it but then when he put the gun up, I was like oh my God where are they going? Are they turning heel again?

So Jay got me on that one. But after that, I called nearly everything when I was talking with that girl and husband. Like when the guns were like propositioning Darby, I kept making cracks like does Darby not have any friends? I even said to them the acclaimed aren’t gonna like this right? Because the group were supposed to form as a babyface union. So when the music went off before it even hit, I was like it’s the acclaimed. I knew they’re not gonna like this so then they came out and stopped it and I was like OK so when I saw Jay standing with the bat I was like oh he’s totally gonna crack Billy gun with that bat but then then I was like oh wait, Billy’s smart he took the bat away, but then I was like with the chairs right there. So when he grabbed the chair and walled him I popped so hard.

The bullet club got so much heat on that segment. For trying to beat down Darby and then beating down the acclaimed and then when they actually injured Darby, which by the way, I kept telling the girl and her husband like why are they even doing a writeoff angle when we already know he’s climbing a mountain? So much heat though. I will say though when Jay grabbed the microphone and started to chant scissor me daddy, we all chanted with him.

Not necessarily terrible but a little disappointing. Its seems 800,000 is the new normal whereas before the average was around 900 and 800 was considered a weaker episode.

AEW been doing some damn good shows lately. So hopefully it pays off. But at the end of the day, if WBD is happy with it, keeps the show on the air, and I get to keep enjoying it, I’ll be fine. Everyone not watching is missing something great.

Oh they are definitely very much still happy with it and I’m not an AEW Doomer or anything. It’s just is a little disappointing that we’ve definitely lost about 100,000 viewers that used to watch pretty regularly. And even with a show built like big business does pretty much the bare minimum of what you can usually expect for a weekly show.

I just checked and Rampage taped 4 matches. That’s getting your bang for your buck. 10 AEW matches and a couple ROH matches is insane for what I paid and I was on the floor as well.

they're ranked higher weekly than last year fwiw. I think they're like just below average drop of cable homes compared to where they were in viewership. I think the only negative here is that it's just the same as they've been doing when you'd want this one to do better than recent week. But 800 being the normal is probs just TV. That's why WWE actually going up is so impressive, everything else is going down
