Show: ACW Adrenaline: Episode Seventeen
Theme Song: "Adrenaline" by Nine Lashes
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
Date: August 23:, 2012
Commentators: Martin Mays and Kareem Ali
Announcers: Ashley Sparxxx

First Bout: An Angel on The Darkside
Match Type: Singles
Stipulation: N/A
Time Limit: 10 Minutes (1 RP Cap)
"Darkside" Tony White v. Tyler Angel v. Adam Stryker
Another very balanced triple threat that any of the men involved could win. All three contenders leave good indications for the future, particularly Adam Stryker, who has vastly improved on his debut performance against Tyler Angel. Anthony White is similarly solid, and spends a large portion of the match punishing his two opponents with stiff blows. Towards the end, he has them both down - Tyler on the outside and Adam on the apron - and spends a moment too long trying to decide who to go after. That split-second turns out to be his downfall, as Adam Stryker, still conscious, quickly lunges forward for a roll-up, and the 1-2-3!

Winner in 06:38 - Adam Stryker

Second Bout: For The Ladies' Honour
Match Type: Singles
Stipulation: Hardcore
Time Limit: 20 Minutes (1 RP cap)
Toyota Chelios (w/Phoenix)v. ???? (w/Jacqui M)

Phoenix and Chelios come out first, and are waiting in the ring when Jacqui's music hits. The former owner and the Hardcore Champion then stare in astonishment as the "Alpha Female" comes out onto the ramp and proudly announces:

Jacqui M: Ladies and gentlemen, my representative!

As an unfamiliar theme song by AC/DC begins to play, the section of ACW fans who followed the defunct PWA promotion explodes in a monster pop, as those around him stare in confused astonishment. After a moment, a small man appears atop the platform, chewing gum and grinning from ear to ear, his thumbs stuck in the pockets of his tight jeans.

Jacqui mockingly steps aside, gesturing with a hand as if to say "after you". The man wastes no time in taking up this offer, as he sprints down the ramp, slides under the bottom rope, and runs straight at the Predator Champion, Toyota Chelios!

A shriek from Phoenix alerts Chelios, who reacts in time to stop the newcomer's momentum, and replies in kind. From here, the match quickly turns brutal, as both men trade stiff blows. Chelios bleeds from the head, but does not give in, continuing to try and land as many punches as he can on his opponent. The new man defends himself admirably, and gives as good as he gets, slowly beginning a counter-attack that pushes Chelios towards the corner.

The Champion manages to escape, landing a high kick on his opponent, then picking up some brass knuckles Phoenix has thrown into the ring. With momentum on his side again, he quickly manages to strike down his opponent by way of a low blow. As the newcomer doubles over, reacting the same way anyone would when hit in that particular region, Chelios connects with the Spear. He then hesitates for a moment, glancing towards Phoenix. The former owner of ACW screams for the Blitzkrieg, and the Champion sets about trying to lock in the submission move that follows up the spear. His opponent, however, struggles mightily to escape, and eventually manages to shove Chelios over his head.

To everyone's surprise, and Phoenix's delight, he then appears to run away from his opponent; the former owner's laughter dies on her lips, however, when the man springboards off the turnbuckle, twists around in midair, and lands a flying forearm to Chelios's head! With Phoenix stunned, and half the arena exploding in cheers, he then covers the Champion for the 1-2-3!

Winner in 08:07 - Jacqui M's mystery representative

After the brawl, as Phoenix berates her protege, the newcomer requests a microphone from ring announcer Ashley Sparxxx and addresses the fans in the stands, as well as those watching at home:

Man: Name's Barry. Barry Jones. Best 'member it, yeh'll be screamin' it laytah!

As the crowd begins to do just that, Barry goes back to celebrating with Jacqui, who lifts his arm up triumphantly. So delighted are the celebrating couple that they fail to see Phoenix entering the ring and lunging towards them. When they do notice it, Barry tries to step in, but Jacqui shoves him aside: she wants a piece of Phoenix herself! Barry therefore busies himself with Chelios, who has come to help his master. Unlike in the ring moments previously, this time there is no clear winner to either brawl. The four participants just trade stiff blows, attacking and counter-attacking each other until they are interrupted by a familiar theme song.

"Money", by Pink Floyd, stops everyone in their tracks, as John McHenry comes out, looking furious and staring daggers through each of the contenders in turn. Wasting no more time than necessary, the GM then points at each of the couples in turn, barking:

John McHenry: I've had enough of this crap! You and you...against him and her...in a tag match on Adrenaline 18! Now get out of the ring before I call security!

As the fans give another big ovation to the prospective match, the four participants begrudgingly leave the ring, keeping their distance, but throwing taunts at each other all the way to the back.

Tbird Bout: Too Much Snow Makes An Avalanche
Match Type: Singles
Stipulation: N/A
Time Limit: 20 Minutes (1 RP cap)
Avalanche v. Eric Snow
This match was cancelled due to neither contestant being present. Eric Snow had unforeseen family commitments, whereas Avalanche found himself stuck in traffic, and unable to make the arena in time for his match.

Semi-Main Event: Cheating the Cheaters
Match Type: Handicap
Stipulation: N/A
Time Limit: 20 Minutes (1 RP Cap per side)
RipperCussions v. Jaxxon Ripper
Before the match gets started, Kareem Ali reminds the viewers that if the LWO interfere tonight, they are fired from ACW. The cracked clowns do seem ready to interfere at one point in the match, but manager Wisecrack, remembering the stipulation, holds them back, avoiding the punishment.

And interference would not have been necessary, anyway: a rampaging and seemingly unstoppable Jaxxon Ripper makes surprisingly short work of the Tag Team Champions, RipperCussions, whose fluid tag dynamics cannot help them on this occasion. The two take turns in facing the Ripper patriarch, trying to keep their strenght as much as possible, but Jaxxon dispatches either of them with equal ease - and saves an extra dose of anger for Jack, with whom the brawl is personal. In the end, he drags Pesinger forcibly into the ring, counters an attempted Jack Attack from his son, then picks both friends up in a double chokeslam, uttering a savage battle cry before slamming them to the mat for the 1-2-3!

Winner in 07:38: Jaxxon Ripper

Main Event: Trying Out Another Option
Match Type: Tag Team
Stipulation: N/A
Time Limit: 20 Minutes (2 RP Cap per Team)
Abram Vance & John McHenry v. RevoluSyn (w/ Alexander Hamilton Cray)
As John McHenry and RevoluSyn are waiting in the ring, Abram Vance's music hits and the International Champion comes through the curtain. However, rather than come down to join his partner, he merely stands atop the platform for a few seconds, smirking disdainfully, before turning and walking backstage. Incredulous, John McHenry starts to rant at him, ordering him to come back; before anything of the sort happens, however, the owner is caught with a clothesline from behind from Zack Bronko, and has no choice but to fight!

In the early goings of the match, RevoluSyn still follow the tag format, trying to keep the odds at least somewhat fair. As time progresses, however, they begin to team up, encouraged by manager Alexander Cray. This time, rather than tell him to stand down, the fan-favourite duo chooses to heed his words, and the action in the ring starts to look less like a wrestling match and more like a beatdown, with Syn and Bronko unleashing their frustrations with their antagonist in a flurry of kicks and blows.

As McHenry is being subject to this vicious attack, and trying to defend himself as best he can, a figure streaks from the back, wielding a steel chair. Before the referee can stop him, Avalanche has bent the foreign object over Syn's head, saving his brother but giving his opponents the win.

Winners by D.Q. in 12:34 - RevoluSyn

Soon after he has hit Syn with the chair, Avalanche is caught by Bronko in a chokeslam, which quickly leads to a Zackbreaker! Barely alive, the two brothers then make their escape, as Bronko and Syn glare triumphantly at their retreating forms.

Backstage, Avalanche worriedly leads his brother along, as he fumes:

John McHenry: I'm sick of partners! SICK OF PARTNERS! Can't trust a goddamn one of them!

Avalanche counters:

Avalanche: Or maybe you just don't know how to pick them...

McHenry snaps:

John McHenry: What's that supposed to mean, Bruce? I'm the owner, I know my roster! I...

Bruce McGraw interrupts yet again, his tone as cool as ever:

Avalanche: Oh, do you? Because there's one partner you *can* trust, and you haven't asked *him* yet...

After these words from his brother, McHenry looks confused, as if trying to figure out what Bruce means. As he sees a grin begin to break across his sibling's face, however, he understands. The show fades out on the image of the two brothers smirking at each other, the bond between them as strong as ever.
