This weeks smackdown was kind of a show of two halves with very little happening in the first hour which was mostly built around Rey Mysterio's home coming and the title feud between
Sheamus/Del Rio/Ziggler and a second half which produced some exciting action.
Rey Mysterio opened the show to a huge response but his comeback was soon interupted by Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler who both staked their claims to be world champion before turning on Rey,
Sheamus made the save to set up a tag team main event. This segment was well recieved.
The Prime Time Players, Hunico and Camacho beat R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Eprico and Primo in a patchy eight man, the star of which was Primo, the finish came when Darren Young caught
Primo coming off the top with a gut buster. In contrast to recent weeks manager AW was quite tame at ringside. Post match Big Show destroyed everyone.
This weeks classic raw moment replayed actor's Jeremy Piven's guest hosting appearence on raw along with the Piven's comments on the expereince. It is fair to say that he was one of the more
successful hosts.
Damien Sandow pinned Zack Ryder with the neckbreaker in a heated scrap. The heel showed great intensty throughout.
In a Peep Show segment AJ and Daniel Bryan promoted their wedding with a amusing video packenge of them shopping for the big day, the pair declayed their love for each other. Things
took a turn when Christian questioned their relationship, AJ slapped the host. Christian then informed Bryan that he had been booked in a match with AJ's ex-boyfriend Kane. This segment
was a bit of a let down.
Bryan beat Kane by DQ in an exciting match after AJ's interfearence.
Road Warrior Animal became the latest legend to defeat Heath Slater following a power slam and elbow drop. Slater had hoped that a switch from raw to smackdown would improve his luck
.
Sheamus and Rey Mysterio won an excellent main event against Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler the only let down was the cheap DQ finish when Richardo grabbed Sheamus leg. This
led to post match beat down on the champ. With Sheamus in trouble Ziggler singled that he was ready to cash in his MITB title shot, that was before Rey made the save.
Best match: Sheamus/Mysterio VS. Del Rio/Ziggler
Worse match: Road Warrior Animal VS. Heath Slater
