Suited and rebooted: Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum look sharp on the set of new 21 Jump Street

They look more suited - quite literally - to the 70s, but Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are dressed here for a remake of a classic 80s show.
The pair have joined forces for the hotly anticipated reboot of the cop series that catapulted Johnny Depp to fame.

Hill, 27 , and Tatum, 31, star as two cops that go undercover in high schools to stop drug dealers, in the big screen treatment.

Sharp shooters: Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum on the set of 21 Jump Street in New Orleans today

Dave Franco, 25, brother of James, will play one of the drug pushers, while 47-year-old Depp is rumoured to have just filmed his cameo in New Orleans.
Dear John star Tatum is used to playing action men.

But it's a real departure for Hill, who has been typecast as a cuddly funster in all his films to date.
After losing 30lbs for the role, the actor is barely recognisable - especially in the custom-made suits the duo are currently filming in.

The Get Him To The Greek actor signed on for Jump Street in early 2010, but in order to convincingly play his undisclosed character he was forced to lose weight.

High spirits: Hill enjoys a joke during a break from filming

According to Us Weekly, Hill shed all his goal weight of 30 pounds, but like many dieters started off by gaining rather than losing.
Hill eventually achieved his weight loss by seeing a nutritionist and working out with a trainer.
This isn't the first time that the actor has been physically made over.

Last year, Hill morphed into a muscular superhero for his film, Megamind.
But he didn’t have to hit the gym that time, instead he had some computer trickery to help him slip into a skin-tight spandex suit for the 3D Animation film.
Hill was the voice for just one of the superheroes in the movie, which also starred Will Ferrell, Brad Pit and Tina Fey.

Attention to detail: The look on set is far cry from the 80s original

But fans of Hill shouldn't worry about losing the feted comedy actor to po-faced cop drama.
The actor explained the action flick will also be packed with laughs.
'It's a comedy with really cool action,' he said.
'We're not doing something serious like 'Miami Vice.' But it's not a parody. It's a funny movie with a lot of great action and a real story. I've been saying that it's like a John Hughes movie with 'Bad Boys' style action.'
Hill rose to fame after appearing in Judd Apatow's directorial début, The 40 Year Old Virgin.
That then led to parts such as a larger supporting role in Knocked Up, and leading roles in the Apatow-produced Superbad and Get Him to the Greek.
