No one was watching baseball before McGuire and Sosa went off the chain. The strike had made no one watch baseball trust me I was around for all of it. The HR boom made people invested in it again. None of these guys should be held out of the hall cuz of it.

So we should reward for people doing something illegal because it helped baseball? nah, two wrongs don't make a right, integrity over ratings and all that. But I guess praising cheaters because it helped them win is the american way

I think the whole steroid thing is a joke. Who cares. Drugs have been in baseball forever. Whether it be a competitive edge or not. Uppers, downers, hallucinogenics, crack, coke whatever it has been in sports and specifically baseball. To say that we should not allow player A or B in because of what they did is dumb. There really was no competitive edge because everyone was doing it.
