TNA Impact
January 7th, 2005
iMPACT! Zone

Earlier today; some loser name Jeff Hammond is in the ring working out with 3LK. When Shane and Kazarian came over to mock him.

Chris Daniels joins commentary, Mike announces next week it will be Daniels vs. Sabin and the winner goes to Final Resolution, Ultimate X match for the X-Divison title. AJ Styles is in, along with Champion Petey Williams.

Chris Candido vs. AJ Styles
I like that TV matches have a 10-minute time limit, and has the countdown clock at the top of the screen. Pretty fun AJ showcase, Candido does his best Mr. Perfect bumping and selling impression. AJ is AJ, he bumps magnificently and gives Candido a ton of offense time. AJ hits a Styles Clash for the win. **

JB and Shane Douglas go over some of the TNA 2004 awards, Skipping wins moment of the year for walking the cage, AJ wins X-Division wrestler of the year & AMW/XXX win the match of the year. And AJ Styles wins Mr. TNA.

Trinity, Tracy Brooks, and Johnny Fair play are in Dusty’s office, which is just the back of a pickup truck. Tracy finds a note, which says you “who wish to stay with TNA must play to stay in TNA” John and Trinity steal the note and form an alliance.

Petey Williams (w/Scott D'Amore) vs. Andy Douglas (w/Chase Stevens)
Daniels is still on commentary, solid little heel vs. heel match, both men try to out cheat and out dirty the other. Petey uses the tights in a roll-up for the win. *1/2

AMW/Team Canda video package

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with AMW, Harris says Turning Point is over and the saga with Triple XXX. It’s on to Team Canada who is holding their property, which means they head to the top of their hit list. Storm says no team has taken them out and it doesn’t matter how many people they bring with them, and if they're not on their A game they will become 6-time tag team champions.

Chris Sabin vs. Bobby Roode (w/Scott D'Amore)
It’s so crazy seeing Bobby here, he looks so generic and basic. Far from GLORIOUS and FAR from someone who has the IT FACTOR. His ring work is solid, mid-card 101 stuff really. Roode has the size advantage and uses it to pretty much control the majority of the match. Daniels gets up from commentary and slides a chair in, which distracts Sabin and Roode hits the Northern Lariat down onto the chair for the win. **

More TNA 2004 awards, Knockout of the year goes to Tracy, finishing move is the Canadian Destroyer. One to watch goes to Hecta Garza :lmaolmao AMW wins Tag Team of the year.

David Young vs. Konnan (w/3LK)
God awful, I never want to see this again. Konnan wins after some interference by Ron Killings and Konnan hits the K-Factor for the win. Who is the heel in this?

Backstage: Raven and DDP are talking, DDP tells Raven he cost Watts his wife, best friend, and his job. Raven says he has Watts wrapped around his little finger. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Eric Watts is here NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! They brawl down to the ring and Watts nails him with a trash can before hitting a chokeslam. FUCK YOU ERIC WATTS!

TRYTAN IS COMING! lol

Mike Tenay is in the ring and brings out Jeff Jarrett. Say what you want about Jeff, but this “My World” song goes hard as a motherfucker. Mike says it’s pretty obvious that Dusty is stacking the deck against him when he could be defending the title against Monty Brown, DDP or his Kings of Wrestling associate Kevin Nash. Jeff says Dusty thinks he came up with a master plan to take his title, but all the master plans fall through. Jeff says DDP brings nothing to the table apart from a Diamond Cutter, Monty made it to the super bowl once, but in this ring, I’ll eat you alive. Jeff says Kevin, there will be no divide and concur. The Kings of wrestling will not fall, Jeff says in TNA there is only one way. MY WAY! He tells Nash to get his head in the game. DDP comes out through the crowd and attacks Jarrett, Monty comes out and all 3 brawl. Nash comes out and takes the fight to Brown. Hall comes out and eggs on Jeff, but Jeff accidentally nails Hall Nash shoves Jarrett for hitting Hall, and they argue. Monty then clotheslines them both out of the ring. Security, Agents, and jobbers come out to separate.

Kid Kash & Dallas vs. Dustin Rhodes & Jeff Hardy
Super sloppy, like really bad. Poor Dustin it was only 3 years ago he was in the most entertaining tag team of all time and now he’s in this shithole. At least his punches still look good. I always like the Kash/Dallas dynamic, with Kash doing the majority of the work, but as soon as Kash gets in trouble Dallas would tag in, do one or two moves before tagging Kash back in. Jeff’s hot tag was fun, he would end up winning after hitting the Swanton Bomb onto Dallas. *3/4

Backstage: Jeff and Nash are being held apart, Jeff yells at him this isn’t WCW, he’s not gonna screw him like he did that company. TNA is his world. GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME! Nash says there isn’t room for both of them.

Eric Young (w/Scott Scott D'Amore) vs. James Storm
Before the bell rings, Harris and Roode get sent to the back, while Scott can stay because he has a managers license. This is fun, Eric Young's bumping is great he even makes the shitty HHH corner bump look good. This is mostly Storm doing all his moves and Eric taking them, Scott gets involved 3 times which leaves to a ref bump. Eric then grabs the hockey stick and nails James with it for the win. *3/4

Dustin/Kash video package.

Chris Candido vs. Dustin Rhodes
This goes about a minute and 40. Candido has that washed wrestler steroid but doesn’t work out body. But with that being said, he knows his role, he really goes above in bumping and makes Dustin look good as well as getting his shit in. Dustin wins with a running bulldog. *1/2

TRYTAN IS COMING! lol

Cassidy O'Reilly vs. AJ Styles
AJ showcase, he gives Cassidy way more offense than he really should have, but it gives me the chance to see AJ bump and sell so I’m totally fine with it. Cassidy had some really good moments, but he has more bad moments than good, Styles hits the lionsault into the inverted DDT for the win. *1/2

Backstage: Raven attacks Eric Watts and lays him out with a trash can.

So before the show, in an empty ring, Jeff Hammon is with Kevin Nash, Monty Brown and DDP. Apparently, he has his own segment called “6 points of interest” FUCK OFF! He hypes up the match, he asks why DDP came out of retirement, DDP has he came not only to beat up Raven but to become NWA World champion. He wants his name with some of the greats to hold that belt. Brown says this is about competition, he wants to be in the ring with champions. This is real, I LIVE FOR THIS! Nash says he’s here for the money. Suddenly, Jarrett comes out and gets in Nash’s face. Security, agents, jobbers, refs come out to pull them apart. DDP and Monty watch on.

Trinity, Tracy, and Johny are looking for more clues. BLAH! 1 will go, 2 will stay.

David Young vs. “Primetime” Elix Skipper
Skipper’s “Say it, say my name. Primetime, baby” is a banger. Say what you want about TNA and how poorly some of their songs are contrasted and how adjace they are. But, I can’t help but nod my head to some of them. So bravo. Okay Skipper showcase, he does stuff. Young adds nothing to the match. Skipper hits the Play of the Day for the win. *1/4

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Team Canada, Johny Devine says Team Canada is the dominant force in TNA. Roode says AMW dreams of becoming tag champs will be a nightmare. Petey says he will continue to show why he is the greatest X-Division champion in history. Scott says Team Canada set some goals for 2005, 1, to continue to dominate and 2, continue to make Americans look inferior.

#1 Contenders match for the Ultimate X/X-Division Championship Match: Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin
This gets a 15-minute time limit because it’s important, Tenay then says if It goes the full 15 TNA has hired Harley Race to decide the winner :lmao This is the first really good match so far, it’s typical X-Division/TNA, Sabin hits this awful plancha in which he barely grazes Daniels and he lands right on his back on the floor. After the commercial, Daniels works the head and neck. Everything is crisp and nothing is wasted. Sabin’s selling is pretty Meh, he totally forgets it during the comeback and even the back and forth strikes exchange. Sabin counters the Angel's Wings into a roll up for the win. **3/4

Dusty Rhoades announces Hector Garza is out, so Jeff Hardy will take his place and will face Scott Hall. Oh and Roddy Piper will be the referee :lmaolmao:lmaolmao

TNA Final Resolution
January 16th, 2005
iMPACT! Zone, Orlando Florida

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Jeff Jarrett, Jeff says DDP can’t cut it, Monty is a Double A ball player at best. And if it is Kevin, when he’s flat on his back he’s 12 inches at best. WHAT?!?! Jeff calls this a cakewalk, and Dusty’s plan will backfire.

Michael Shane, Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels vs. 3 Live Kru
This is sad, Daniels, Shane, and Kaz are just here to be bodies for 3LK to do moves to. BG and Konnan add nothing, at least Truth is decent enough. The heel team isolate BG, it’s pretty decent they don’t really target a body part, just all 3 do moves to him and we would get the occasional dirty cheap shots behind the refs back. Truth’s hot tag ruled, his slap-punches looked great tonight. The match breaks down and everyone pairs off. In the end, BG and Konnan hold Shane up and Truth hits him with the Harlem Sidekick for the win. **1/4

In the parking lot, Trinity, Tracy, and Fairplay are with Dusty in his office. Dusty says to find the clue, bring it back and they will be safe.

“Primetime” Elix Skipper vs. Sonjay Dutt
Mike says this isn’t a #1 contenders match, but won’t go unnoticed when Dusty needs challenges. This is shockingly good, Sonjay busts out all the X-Division spots, crisp dives, moves. I like that Skipper has gone to more of a power offense style to counter Sonjay’s speed. Sonjay sees that so he targets Skippers’ arm to neutralize Skipper's power. They have some sloppy moments, but it makes sense as Skipper's arm is weak so he can’t catch him or hold him. Pretty great storytelling. Sonjay goes for a 450 or some sort of high-risk but instead, Skipper runs the ropes and dropkicks him off and Sonjay crashes to the floor. Skipper continues to sell his arm, even when he targets Sonjay’s arm for revenge. I hate to do this, but I have to give credit to Tenay, he gets it by Skipper isn’t trying to out “X-Division” Sonjay, he’s working smart by wearing him down with power moves. And right on cue, as Skipper begins to get cocky and he tries a high-risk move that backfires and Sonjay makes a comeback. Sonjay misses the Hindu press and runs into Air Raid Crash type move for the win. Dope match. **3/4

TRYTAN IS COMING! lol

Backstage: Nash and DDP are talking, Nash says he wants to start working smarter not harder. He suggests they team up to take out Brown RACIST! DDP says he’s all about standing alone, Nash says we take out Monty first then, take a break, then we see who the better man is. DDP laughs off trusting him, so Nash says actions speak louder than works. If I put a hand on you the deals off, trust me. DDP says trusting Kevin Nash, what a concept.

Kid Kash vs. Dustin Rhoades
Kid Kash’s theme song is amazing, it’s gotta be behind “I am” as GOAT TNA song. Dustin may not be what he was 3 years ago, but he still better than 60% of the wrestlers in TNA at this point in 2005. His punches are amazing, it’s almost a classic-level Dustin early WCW performance. Tons of fire and hate. And give Kash credit, he plays the worm/piece of shit/cowardly heel role to a tee. Kash fakes a knee injury and fools no one apart from Dom West. Kash puts salt on the wounds and he targets Dustin’s leg, it’s GREAT! Kash is super aggressive towards it, and Dustin sells it like it’s a legit broken leg. Hobbling when he gets to his feet, unable to run when attempting to hit the ropes. Kash frog splashing the knee before locking in the figure-four was great. I didn’t like Kash abandoning the knee to lock in a sleeper, Dustin hobbling and selling the knee the entire match even during his comeback ruled. Kash gets two very, close near falls so he loses his cool. He shoves the ref and that gives Dustin the split second to hit a modified running bulldog for the win. AWESOME! ***

Backstage: John Fairplay finds a clue in Dusty’s hat.

Raven vs. Eric Watts
This atrocious, Watts is in the convo of worse wrestler of all time. And Raven is not great or even good at a standard one-on-one no gimmick match. So, what does TNA do? give them 10 fuckin’ minutes. Watts is gassed and is breathing like he just ran 10 miles after 3 minutes. Watts hits this trash ass chokeslam to win. After the match; Raven says he’s sorry, he says he let his hatred for PAGE blind him. He says he never had a family or friends, Watts is his only friend. Watts doesn’t buy it so Raven throws a trash can at him and Watts takes this terrible bump off the stage through a table. 1/2*

Against All Odds, Sunday, February 13th, 2005

Scott Halls wins the GOAT theme song. It’s not even close.

Scott Hall vs. Jeff Hardy [Special Referee: Rowdy Roddy Piper]
Hall coming out dressed as Elvis with fake hair along with Piper doing the pat down and finding fork taped to his wrist and a steel chain in his collar is the highlight of the match, it then all goes downhill and bombs like a nuclear bomb. Both guys are clearly mailing it in, it’s pathetic. Jeff debuts the twist of fate stunner and Hall takes a god awful bump on it. Jeff then hits the Swanton to win. DUD

Drunk Jeff gets on the mic and says he’s coming to kick Jeff’s ass. He kicks Hall and Piper tells him to leave and dubs him next world champion. Suddenly, Abyss comes out and attacks Jeff. He hits him with a torture rack and a black hole slam.

#1 Contender's Elimination Triple Threat Match: Monty Brown vs. Kevin Nash vs. Diamond Dallas Page
This is what it is, Nash sits back and watches DDP/Brown, Brown uses his power and is one step ahead. We then get Nash/Brown for a bit and DDP sits back and watches. 4 minutes in and Tenay says pin, submission or be thrown over the top. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Way to announce that. DDP and Nash forms their little alliance for legit one minute until Nash goes to turn on Page but Nash goes over the top eliminating himself. DDP hits a cutter but Nash pulls him out and beats him down before rolling him back in and leaving, DDP doesn’t even sell it or even look back at Nash :lmao this match is a mess. DDP/Monty is fine for a couple of minutes they don’t really do anything interesting. Monty hits the POOOOOOOOUUUNCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEE for the win. After the match; Monty and DDP shake hands. **

NWA World Tag Team Championships: Team Canada (w/Scott D’Amore) vs. America’s Most Wanted
This is one of the matches that was the main reason I wanted to go back and watch TNA, I remember as a young 14-year-old. Loving this and had this as the standard of best none gimmick tag match in TNA history. AMW don’t care for Canada’s tricks and they take the fight to the Canadians, destroying them for a good 5 minutes straight out of the ring. Before bringing them back to the ring and beating the shit out of them for additional 5 more minutes. Poor Eric he has this disgusting knot on his head it’s the size of a jawbreaker or something. He takes some amazing bumps. Really old school NWA formula with the faces being 2 steps ahead and the heels taking godly bumps before taking over after a cheap shot. Roode and Young iso Storm, as for once West makes a good point wonder if AMW blew their chance because they came out so strong and gave the Canadians everything but now they're the ones down. Good cut the ring off offense from the heel, tons of cheap shots and D’Amore interference too. Harris’ hot tag it good, and the match breaks down. D’Amore interferes so they handcuff him to the steel structure. The finishing stretch is AWESOME! Both teams get some great near falls it’s mostly based on Johny Devine interference. He has a chair in his hands and feels someone touching him so he whacks him in the head, it turns out to be Eric Young and Harris school boys him for the win. AWESOME MATCH! Still, holds up. ****

Backstage: Trinity and Tracy beat up Fairplay and steal his clue, Dusty says they survived but now they must find a tag team that has never been here before. And the winner will be his personal secretary.

Ultimate X Match for the X-Division Championship: Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams (w/Scott D’Amore) vs. AJ Styles
This is another one of those matches that I hold very high standards for TNA, it was always my go to match whenever TNA was brought up, I should really go back and watch the original Ultimate X match to see if that still holds up too. As for this it still holds up as an all time great TNA match, an all time great spotfest. AJ and Sabin totally carry this match, and Petey is along for the ride when he not fucking up an all time awesome spot. Cool spot Sabin is on AJ shoulders and as Petey is climbing the ropes he drops down and ‘rana’s Sabin off AJ’s shoulders, late in the match Petey is hanging and where the belt it, and in Kayfabe he would just pull the belt down as he holding it for 3 minutes. Anyway, AJ comes off with his springboard forearm, and IDK if Petey got shook but he lifts his head at the last second and AJ misses, Petey then falls and pretends like it hit him. GET THE FUCK OUT! Minutes later, Sabin kills AJ with a ‘rana off the top, then 2 MINUTES AFTER THAT SABIN MISSILE DROPKICKS AJ AS HE’S CLIMBING THE ROPES AND AJ TAKES THIS AMAZING INSIDE OUT BUMP AND LANDS ON HIS FUCKING BACK! INSANE! Cool piece of story telling, Petey and AJ battle on the steel pole and Petey pulls AJ arm through before hanging him up, smartly hindering AJ’s arm useless and he can’t climb well, even when he goes up he can only go so far before he arm gives way, and when he falls he stumbles into a Canadian Destroyer. AWESOME! The finish of the match sees Sabin and Petey in the middle of the X and both men tug away at it. BUT OUT OF NOWHERE AJ Springboard and grabs it out of both men's hands for the win. FUCK YEAH! ***3/4

cQluSFj.gif
UAzGNqX.gif

Backstage: Jeff and Nash have another pull apart, Nash says he’s coming after that belt because it’s about more money. Jeff trolls and says it back to the back of the line for him.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Monty Brown vs. Jeff Jarrett
I love me some Monty, but he should not at this time be in a match longer than 10 minutes so to have him go 16 especially against Jeff who does his bullshit Main Event formula, everything he does just scream Flair adjace. Good thing he does do it the Attitude/ECW crowd brawl to shorten the in-ring match time. This is bullshit, Jeff dominates Monty 90% of the match, he beats him up out the ring, in the ring. Out wrestles him. The only thing Monty does is win the power, but Jeff half ass bumps for him. He makes Monty look like some average bum ass X-Division, not the powerhouse athlete he should have been. I really hope the December Impact match from 2004 isn’t like this, I don’t even wanna rewatch. I’ll leave the memories alone. The finishing stretch is the usual Jeff shit, ref bump, shenanigans, title belt, stroke kick out, guitar shot 1 kick out, chair shot kick out, Monty hits Jeff with the guitar but the ref from the back takes a minute before running out. Jeff then hits him with a broken guitar and strokes him 3 times with a low blow for the win. He does know hitting Monty with all this shit doesn’t make him look strong right? **

Mike Tenay shows footage of a press conference from earlier today. It’s announced at Against All Odds, it will be Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett. Both guys give speeches and answer questions. DDP is there for some reason and stirs it up asking if Nash is Jeff’s queen. Nash shoves him and they have to be held apart.

Buck Quartermain vs. Christopher Daniels
Who the fuck comes up with the name Buck Quartermain? It’s terrible. He’s terrible, thankfully this goes about a minute and Daniels hits a flatliner move for the win.

After the match; Daniels gets on the mic and says he’s sick of the favoritism by TNA and Dusty, he calls out AJ and says on AJ’s best day, he cannot beat him. Styles comes out and says he’s held every belt in TNA and is a fighting champion, anytime, anyplace? Daniels cuts him off and says this time and this place. He says he will give AJ 10 minutes to shut his mouth if he beats him he will leave it alone. But if not he wants his shot at the PPV. Dusty comes out and confirms the match.

Lex Lovett vs. Jeff Hardy
Pretty terrible, Jeff wins with a Swanton. After the match; Abyss attacks Jeff again. He hits a Black hole slam. He then sets up some tables on the floor and throws Jeff through them. Mike Tenay announces at against all odds it’s Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss, Tables, Ladders, Chairs it’s all legal.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with AMW, Harris says they are now the hunted but know what it takes to stay at the top. They welcome the hunt and the challenge from any team. Kash and Dallas come over, Kash says they better remember one thing they have been 2-time tag champs and at the next PPV it will be 3.

The Naturals vs. Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian
Decent heel vs. heel match for a few minutes until Kid Kash & Dallas who is now been renamed Lance Hoyt attack both teams. AMW come out and all hell breaks loose until security, officials, refs break it up.

Cassidy O'Reilly vs. Raven
Apparently, Watt’s separated his shoulder on his fall off the stage. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! Fun, Raven squash he’s super aggressive and beats up the kid before hitting the DDT for the win. After the match; Raven breaks the kid's fingers and continues to beat on him until Dustin Rhoades come out and pulls Cassidy to safety.

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews 3LK, Konnan challenges Shane and Kaz saying if they have a problem with Hammon then they have a problem with them. BG says Hammon is a tough guy and says do not underestimate them or Jeff. loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

WHY THE FUCK IS THIS smurf HAMMON NOW ON COMMENTARY? THE UPCOMING MATCH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! At the PPV it will be BG James & Jeff Hammon vs. Shane and Kazarian. WHY?!?!?!

10 Minute Challenge: Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles
Really good, this is clearly held back as both men are saving all the good stuff for the PPV. I like the story telling with Daniels slow down the match with holds which keeps AJ grounded while takes time off the clock. AJ tries high-risk moves and big impact moves but he gets caught on a diving attempt and Daniels nasty throws him into the steel rails then onto the knee, Daniels then proceeds to control the next 6 minutes working over AJ’s back, AJ sells for the rest of the match, and his desperation in the final 90 seconds or so is great. I love the final 20 with Daniels just evading and rolling away from him to survive the time limit. Dusty comes out and books it at the PPV in a 30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH! ***

Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt vs. Chris Sabin & Jeff Hardy
This is pretty random, Sabin does his thing and carries his side of the team as Jeff contributes nothing. Kash is good, Lance is still 1 move tag out man. Solid heat segment on Sabin, Jeff gets the hot tag but as he enters the ring Abyss is at ringside and pulls him down to the fall and they brawl to the back. That leaves it 2-1, Lance big boots Sabin and Kash finishes him off with the Moneymaker. **

Backstage: DDP walks up on Hall and Nash, they argue over who turned on who. Hall says DDP blew it, DDP says all great men have had someone standing behind them, so he tells Hall to go back to standing behind Nash.

Old Man Daniels joins commentary

Chris Candido vs. Sonny Siaki
This is fine, outside Sonny’s 90’s hipster beat boxing theme song he adds nothing to wrestling. Candido goes above and beyond on putting him over tho, Candido rolls through a Crossbody and puts his feet on the ropes to steal the win. Commentary spends 90% of the match hyping up AJ/Daniels.

Backstage: Dusty is with his THOTS, they hype up their tag teams. He says he can’t wait for next week.

Johnny Devine (w/Scott D’Amore) vs. Monty Brown
Monty Squash, the rest of Team Canada come out but Monty takes them all out before hitting this AWESOME! Pounce to win. After the match; Team Canada distracts Monty as Scott Hall comes down to attack him. They beat him down until DDP comes from the other side to make the save.

yKFAWjy.gif

This past Saturday Jeff Jarrett went to South Koria and defended his championship.

Mike Tenay is in the ring and brings out Jeff Jarrett. Yo, this block gimmick thing on the back of the guitars needs to go, it looks so stupid. Jeff says he’s not intimidated by Nash, he says he brought Nash and Hall in to follow him, but Nash forgot the pecking order. The crowd gets on Jeff by chanting “BORING” so Jeff rambles on and says he and Nash go back to 1993, way before the world titles. Nash says the title is just about money, well this best is my life and in my blood. It means everything to me, Jeff gives his strategy away by saying he will target Nash’s knees and put him out for good.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with AJ Styles, AJ says this match was bound to happen at some point. He knows how good Daniels is, he says he’s survived world title and tag matches, and now he’s surviving X-Division matches. He says he will give it his all.

The Naturals vs. Cassidy Reilly vs. Dustin Rhodes (w/Eric Watts)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WHY THE FUCK IS WATTS STILL HERE FUCK OFF YOU ONE ARMED CRIPPILED PIECE OF SHIT! Naturals target Cassidy’s fingers which propel them as my MVP’s of tonights show. Dustin never gets the hot tag as Raven comes out and nails Watts with a trash can and bets up Dustin long enough for the Naturals to hit the Natural disaster for the win. **

WHY IS JEFF HAMMON THE MAIN EVENT LEAD ANNOUNCER! WHY?

Michael Shane, Frankie Kazarian & Elix Skipper vs. 3 Live Kru
Another 3LK showcase, they pretty much dominate for the first 5 minutes, but the heel iso Ron for a minute 5 seconds until BG gets the hot tag, the match breaks down and Shane gets BG with a Flying Elbow for the win. Jeff Hammon starts talking tough and tries to snitch to the ref. So the heel go over to him, he runs into the ring and begins getting cocky with 3LK behind him. He also takes his shirt off, this shit is hilarious. It reminded me of those fake hood street dudes.

Sonny Siaki's other contribution is breaking Candido's leg that lead to his death.

And every TNA promo is "we were in wwf and wcw!!!"

Chris Daniels is back on commentary.

Shark Boy vs. Petey Williams (w/Scott D’Amore)
Petey showcase, it’s pretty meh. Man, Petey isn’t shit without the Canadian Destroyer. I do like his slingshot into the ‘rana on the floor but that’s about it. Oh and the “Oh Canada” dick stomp. Canadian Destroyer ends it.

Backstage: Raven makes fun of Cassidy and Dustin’s new friendship, Raven says something about Dustin’s scrotum. So Dustin says he’s gonna stick his foot up his ass at the PPV.

Buck Quartermaine vs. AJ Styles
FUCK YEAH! Daniels and Tenay add backstory to the Daniels/AJ feud, Daniels takes credit for AJ's career because of their match at the NWA 53rd Anniversary and for putting AJ on the map. Really fun, AJ showcase, in typical AJ fashion he gives Buck way too much offense time and gives Buck one sick bump for him. AJ’s comeback is fun, he hits the Styles Clash for the win.

After the match; AJ challenges Daniels to fight NOW! Daniels says that’s exactly the response he from a spoiled brat since AJ made him wait 3 years. He’ll make him wait until the PPV. AJ promises to shut his mouth once and for all.

TRYTAN is coming! lol

Backstage: Dusty is with team Tracy and Trinity, he hypes up their tag teams and says they will have a match on the pre-show :lmao

David Young vs. Jeff Hardy
This is a surprise, Young gets a shit ton of offense in and he looks good, he’s CW adjace. Jeff bumps and sells for him big time which is a surprise. I love the story of David has nothing to lose, he’s already on a 2-year losing streak so he throws everything at Jeff and it all seems to be going his way. But he gets cocky or just dumb and goes to the top for a moonsault. Which he misses and Jeff makes his comeback. Jeff hits a flatline and finishes him off with a Swanton for the win. After the match; Abyss tries to sneak out but Jeff sees him coming and dives onto him. They brawl through the crowd and to the back. **1/2

Backstage: Shane and Kazarian make fun of Young, but says if he’s desperate for a win, why not face Jeff Hammon. Kaz says NASCAR stands for “None Athletic Sports Centered Around Rednecks:lmaolmao:lmaomark::mark: 3LK come out and talk shit, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! BG says it will be Hammon vs. Young, Next Week. FUCK!

Lex Lovett vs. Abyss
Abyss murders him, fun while it lasted. After the match; Abyss sets up a table in the ring, but Jeff makes the save. Abyss tries to press slam him through the table, but Jeff reverses into a DDT through the table, which looked like it hurt him even more than Abyss.

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Kevin Nash while he's getting a massage. Douglas says Nash is in the best shape of his career for this match. Suddenly, JEFF CHARGES IN AND TRIES TO NAIL NASH IN THE KNEE WITH A GUITAR SHOT, BUT NASH MOVES. Jeff says he will see in at the PPV. Nash is mad.

The Naturals vs. Monty Brown & Diamond Dallas Page
This was better than expected, DDP/Monty have good chemistry and the Naturals bump around like crazy for them in the early going. Just before the commercial The Naturals isolate DDP, Naturals might be underrated, they do look like 16-year-old back yarders and some of the stuff they do look sloppy but, but they do what I love in heel tag team antics, cut the ring off, tons of cheating behind he refs back. Monty’s hot tag is fun, and the Naturals bump like crazy again. Monty hits the Pounce as DDP hits the Diamond Cutter, both men cover for the win.

Backstage: Nash has finally found Jeff’s locker room, and just as he opens the door the show goes off the air. Okay then.

Backstage: Dusty announces that if Jeff Jarrett uses the guitar in this match, he will be DQ'd and will lose the title.

Johnny Devine (w/Scott D’Amore & Eric Young) vs. Sonny Siaki
NO FUCKS ARE GIVEN! Devine wins with a roll up while holding the ropes.

Monty Brown, DDP, and Jeff Jarrett are at the Superbowl they interview legends like Jerry Rice, Emmit Smith, Dion Sanders and others.

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Monty Brown, apparently it will be Monty and Page vs. Hall and Roode at the PPV. Monty says he hasn’t forgotten about Jarrett, he’s still hunting him. But not the future, Hall wants to get in his business because he gave his boy the business. It’s risky business. He says it doesn’t matter who, but one of them will get the POUNCE! PERIOD!

Chris Candido vs. Diamond Dallas Page
This is fine, it’s about 2 minutes and a half. Candido is so much better here than when he was in his ECW prime. Or maybe it’s the short time his matches are so he doesn’t fuck around with bullshit. DDP hits the cutter from the top rope, well Candido was crotuched and Page hit it from there. After the match; Scott D’Amore comes out with Roode, DDP tells him to shut up and challenges Roode NOW! The rest of Team Canada come out but Monty Brown runs before the Canadians hit the ring. They rethink it and leave.

TRYTAN is coming! lol

David Young (w/Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian) vs. Jeff Hammon (w/3LK)
This is complete bullshit, the lowest of low for wrestling and any wrestler ever. I know David young is a jobber and is on a 2-year losing streak, but Hammon is so bad. He clearly doesn’t want to get hit so he’s falling down before Young can kick or punch him so none of those connects. He takes an awful suplex and just lands on his elbow. Oh great, we get fuckery, 3LK distracts the ref which allows BG to hit a pump handle, Hammon then hits a god awful, pathetic elbow drop for the win. So does that make 3LK the heels? David Young might as well commit suicide. WORSE MATCH OF THE YEAR!

Backstage: Dusty leaves his truck, and is greeted by Tracy. Then seconds later Trinity leaves the truck adjusting her top. DUSTY JUST BANGED TRINITY! Trinity says “and people call you an old man, ha” and kisses him on the cheek before leaving. Tracy is pissed cause she wants DA DUSTY DICK!

AJ Styles joins commentary, but Daniels comes out and slaps him. AJ leaps over the table and they have this great pull apart brawl.

Shark Boy vs. “Primetime” Elix Skipper vs. Chris Sabin
Mike Tenay announces Ultimate X is returning next month. This is fine, very face paced, cool spots and shit. Shark Boy hits Sabin with the Dead Sea Drop, but Skipper shoves him out of the way and covers for the win. *3/4

Oh, great Nash and Jarrett are both “barred” from the impact zone, but not to fear. They're here via satellite. Nash is in “Hollywood” and Jeff is in “Nashville” Funny that they have the exact same black background 8D Nash says his game plan hasn’t changed even with this new guitar rule. Nash says his game plan is to end this early all the big moves. Jeff says he made a career out of taking a beating and surviving, he says he’s not the biggest but he is the smartest. And he plans on holding onto this belt BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY! They continue to interview and talk. I don’t care.

Kid Kash, Lance Hoyt & Raven vs. Dustin Rhoades & America’s Most Wanted
Sadly only 4 minutes of this is shown, mainly because of the commercial a minute in. And I guess that bullshit Jeff/Nash hurt the time. The heel’s isolate Harris, it’s fine, not really happens. Dustin hits Raven with the Bulldog for the win. *3/4

Against All Odds video package on the X-Divison and World Title end the show, lol no other matches mean shit.

TNA Against All Odds
February 13th, 2005
Orlando, Florida

Backstage: Shane Douglas is outside Jeff Jarrett’s locker room, Larry Zbyszko leaves with a lawyer, Larry says it’s a legal battle between Dusty and Jeff. We cut Scott Hudson is outside Nash’s room, Hudson hypes up the friction and all the antics he’s seen so far.

Petey Williams (w/Scott D’Amore) vs. “Primetime” Elix Skipper
IDK why this is here, honestly, both men are heels and have not had any interaction since I started watching. I don’t get why TNA either didn’t have them team up against Sabin and Dutt? Or just put all 4 in a 4-way. At least with Dutt and Sonjay, we have some backstory from the last PPV. Anyway, this is okay, neither guy are really X-Division guys, Petey is a 3 move man, and Skipper is mostly power offense/super athlete so I can’t call this a showcase for the X-Division. Skipper plays the face role by default, cause Team Canada. Skipper has some nice moves but Petey is so damn bad, he has no structure he just does moves for the sake of them, you would think for someone with such a deadly finisher he would target the head and neck but nope. Elix blocks the Destroyer into an Air Raid Crash, which Tenay names Sudden Death. *3/4

Michael Shane & Frankie Kazarian vs. BG James & Jeff Hammon (w/3LK)
Sadly this is a real thing, it’s about 5 minutes, which means it’s 5 minutes way too long. Heel’s isolate BG which sets up a god awful Hammon hot tag, Shane accidentally kicks Kazarian and Hammond hits a really hideous elbow drop to win. *

Dusty is with Trinity and Tracy when Larry and Jeff’s lawyer comes other with documents. The lawyer says he has proof that Jeff has never used the guitar as a weapon :lmao Dusty laughs him off and tells him to go kiss his own ass.

Raven vs. Dusty Rhoades
This is fine, but it’s a shittier version of Kash/Dustin. Raven works the knee but Dustin half ass sells it, Raven also completely ruins the ankle lock but having it locked in for 2 minutes like some rest hold. Raven kicks Dustin’s legs out, rolls him up and grabs the ropes for leverage and the win. After the match; Raven attacks Dustin. He gets a straight jacket from under the ring, and he puts Dustin in it. Cassidy Reilly runs out to try and save, but he immediately gets the Evenflow. Raven gets a leather strap and begins whipping Dustin with it until referees come out to get him away. *3/4

The lights go out………….TRYTAN IS COMING TO IMPACT! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

NWA Tag Team Championships: Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt vs. America’s Most Wanted
Finally, something good. This is 12 minutes and delivers. Kash is great at his despicable, slimy, scumbag heel. Hoyt/Harris have this awesome 40-second just fight, it looks they attempt to skiff the shit out of one another. Kash is 90% in the ring for his team, Lance continues his one move tag out stuff. Heel’s work over Storm’s back it’s really good, cheating, short cuts, cut off the ring offense. Harris’ hot tag ruled I can see why he thought he was a single’s star for a split second. The match breaks down, Hoyt hits a side-slam off the top for a two. Kash brings in both titles, Storm counters and takes one away but the ref stops him so Kash picks up the other and nails James with them for two. Kash then picks up AMW’s handcuffs but eats a superkick, Harris spears Hoyt before handcuffing Kash to the turnbuckle. AMW then finish Lance off with the Death Sentence for the win. *** - ***1/4

In the parking lot; a black limo pulls up. Shane tries to find out but security and other geeks get in his face so Shane leaves like a pussy.

Full Metal Mayhem Match: Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy
This is just a ladder match, but with a SWERVE! Two envelopes are hanging above the ring. One has a contract for a future world title match, the other. BLANK! FUCKIN TNA! Abyss now has a chain with him. This is okay, I guess, weapons, spots, Jeff dives and bumps, table crashes it’s all here. Abyss sets up a stack of two tables on top of two. Late in the match, Jeff hits this crazy Swanton off the top of the PPV set through Abyss and a table. He then gets one of the envelopes but it’s the blank one so loooooooooooool. He goes for the other one, but Abyss shoves him off through the tables set up on the floor well 1 and a half, he mostly lands on the concrete floor, Abyss then grabs the real on for the win. Jeff refuses to sell and instead of stopping Abyss he jumps on the tables and has a temper tantrum :lmao **

SQuUg3a.gif

Team Canada (w/Scott D’Amore & Johnny Devine) vs. Monty Brown & Diamond Dallas Page
Roode and Young are in for Canada. Damn, Monty sure has fallen off since taking 3 strokes, chair shot, title belt, 2 guitar shots from his main event match last month. This is what it is, fine filler, Young’s bumping for Monty to start the match was fun, Don West calling Scott D’Amore fat is pretty funny, it would be like Tenay making fun of Hogan for his hair. In a rarity, both faces get heat segmented on but seemed rushed the match breaks down and Monty hits the pounce on Roode and DDP hits the Cutter on Young for the win. **

30 Minute Iron Man Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles
AJ wearing his half baby blue/half black attire <3 I loved the opening 10 minutes, it’s so smooth and done well, they first take it to the mat fighting over holds and counters before, I love because Daniels has been on commentary for a whole month during AJ’s matches he has some of AJ moves scouted like the dropkick spot so he’s one step ahead, that makes AJ having to bust out new stuff. They go back to the mat with both men being evenly matched. AJ targets Daniels’ arm for a bit, but Daniels rolls out to stop it. AJ hits this dope springboard plancha. I remember in a shoot interview, AJ said he was supposed to do the shooting star but lost his balance so he hit the plancha. Daniels rolls back in and as AJ is about to go for the springboard flying forearm, Daniels uses the ref as a shield to stop AJ from going for it. He shoves the ref out of the way and knocks AJ off the apron and AJ goes flying into the guardrails ribs first. Daniels targets the ribs, it’s pretty great, AJ’s selling is spotty which is disappointing by AJ standards. FUCKIN DON WEST SAYS “I don't think Daniels or AJ has ever been in a match longer than 13 minutes, or maybe 1 or 2 without getting a pin” really don, you’ve called every match and you don’t know. FUCK OFF! Daniels gets the knee’s up on a 450 and hits the Angels Wings for the pin. 1-0, Daniels. 15 minutes left, Daniels goes back to work on the ribs/lower back. It’s really great, Daniels is totally out-shining AJ here. AJ’s selling is good, but just like the first time as soon as it’s his time for a comeback he abandons selling the ribs but he does have these AWESOME pain facial expressions which kinda makes up for it. Daniels starts going for big moves, more suplex orientated which targets the back but AJ keeps kicking out. Daniels misses the BME and AJ hits Angel’s wings for two. Great near fall, AJ then hits a desperation roll up for three. 1-1, 6 minutes remaining. Daniels knocks AJ to the floor and Daniels is pissed so he rams AJ head into the ring post busting him open. Daniels now targets the head with punches and headbutts it’s really good, kinda sucks that they left all the rib work in the past but I get it. Daniels applies the Koji Clutch and blood is flowing out of AJ’s head, AWESOME VISION of the blood now spirting out of AJ as AJ does his best to hold on as time expires. 1-1.

Daniels claims AJ is out cold and he should win, the ref says this is a draw, Daniels gets on the mic and says he wants sudden death. Dusty approves. The bell rings and Daniels goes back to work on the head and the open cut, Daniels goes for ‘RANA off the top but AJ shoves him off and hits one of his own before finishing Daniels off with a Styles Clash. Awesome match, but doesn’t hold up as an all time classic like I once held it as. Daniels performance is top notch one of his best ever, one of the few times AJ wasn’t the best in the ring. But with that being said, AJ gave Daniels a shit ton on offense and bumped his ass off for everything. ***3/4

Backstage: Jeff is leaving his dressing room, he asks his lawyer if he got it done. He says no. So Jeff says he’s gonna get this done. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Kevin Nash vs. Jeff Jarrett
Typical WCW/Jeff main event bullshit, also this getting 19 minutes is insane. Jeff only goes a the knees so he can cut Nash down to his size so he can throw his awful punches. They brawl on the floor and into the crowd for a good 7 minutes, it’s blatantly killing time, Jeff gets busted open. BUT FUCK THAT! JARRETT PULLS OUT A MOTHERFUCKING CELLO BUT THE HANDLE BREAKS SO JEFF JUST THROWS IT AT NASH’S KNEE. See it’s not a guitar so Jeff can’t be DQ’ed :lmaolmao He begins using the case a weapon on Nash’s knee is pretty funny, it can’t weigh more than 6 pounds lol. Jeff goes back to work on the knee, the ref stops Nash from using the cello but gets bumped so Nash jackknifed Jarrett into the cello. LOOOOOOOOOOL BILLY GUN makes his debut and nails Nash in the head with a chair, Jeff gives him the thumbs off but only gets a two. X-Pac makes his return and attacks Jeff this is hilarious. They keep going for a while, despite this, BG runs out and stops Billy from nailing Nash with it. Jarrett hits a low blow and the second Stroke for the win. Jeff trying to use a cello as a weapon to work around the guitar stipulation is top 3 all time in terms of fuckery. *
