AJ/Abyss IMO greatest tna match ever.

Wargames and lethal lock down are terrible because of the rules...should just be an elimination match instead of everyone having to be there for a winner to he declared....it makes everything before that not mean a thing.

So this is taped the Monday after the PPV so during the taping Candido is alive, but by air date, he’s passed away.

Tonight: AMW/Naturals for the World Tag Team Championships. Dusty also has a huge announcement regarding AJ/Jarrett for Hard Justice.

Petey Wiliams vs. Shocker
This is so bad, both these guys are so bad and don’t know how to work a match so they just do moves and shit for 6 minutes. Shocker does some shitty sunset flip pin for the win. Mike says Shocker gets the title match at Daniels at Hard Justice. Mike interviews Shocker, he says he will win the title for his fans. Poor Daniels.

A replay of Candido breaking his ankle, Mike says Candido will be here in the Naturals corner.

Buck Quartermaine vs. Sonjay Dutt
This is fine but went on far too long, Bucks’ control sucked but at least Sonjay bumped well and had a nice showing. Slingshot Huracanrana gives Sonjay the win.

Mikey Batts vs. The Outlaw
NO!

3LK come out, BG goes to talk but Konnan takes the mic and challenges him to a match next week.

In the TNA conference room, Dusty says at Hard Justice it will be a 20-man gauntlet for the gold #1 contenders match for the world title. AJ Styles vs. Jarrett needs a special ref and that will be. TITO ORTIZ!!!! Loooooooooooooooooooooooool. Jarrett comes out and he throws a fit about it and says that's not fair and accuses Dusty of plotting against him. Same Jeff promo he’s been cutting for the past 4 months. YAWN!

The Naturals and Candido come out, Candido gets on the mic. He says TNA is forcing him to relive his injury because they keep showing the replay. But with 9 titanium screws and 3 sheets of metal in his ankle, he stands here because nothing will keep him from seeing HIS boys win the tag team titles. GROUPE HUG :mark:

NWA World Tag Team Championships: The Naturals (w/Chris Candido) vs. America’s Most Wanted
Special 30 minute time limit, these 4 have some much chemistry and have a formula that works. It’s AMW beat the shit out of the Naturals for a good length of time in and out of the ring, with he Naturals bumping like crazy for them. It’s brutal and great. TNA might have worse commercial timing than current WWE, as we cut to commercial AMW are in control but when we return it's at the end of the heat segment on Storm and we cut right to Harris’ hot tag. A high knee by Douglas to Harris and the Naturals now isolate Harris. It’s pretty good, tons of cheap shots, false hot tag spots, and heel tactics. But again the commercial cuts the heel heat short, Storm has a good hot tag and the match breaks down. Andy brings in one of the tag titles but the ref sees it and takes it away, that allows Chase to bring in a chair and nail Storm with it. Harris then spears Chase. Candido then rolls into the ring and puts Douglas’ arm over Storms prone body and the ref counts the three. Good stuff. ***

Candido & The Naturals celebrate, Mike Tenay goes to interview Candido. He says the Naturals were overlooked but now his boys are champions, and he was the difference maker. EVEN WITH 97 SCREWS IN MY LEG! I WAS THE DIFFERENCE MAKER! Mike asks about a rematch, Candido snaps and says he ain’t no match maker. Chase asks who won :lmao Andy says this one was for you CANDIDO!!! :(

RIP Candido

TNA just lost their MVP, not best wrestler but the most entertaining guy on the show.

Cassidy Riley vs. Abyss
Hats off to Abyss wrestling, 24 hours after getting styles clashed and powerbombed into thumbtacks. Granted, this is pretty much a squash match but he must still be in some pain. I liked that Cassidy uses his quickness to run away as much as possible to frustrate Abyss, but in the end, that plan backfires and Abyss kills him in pretty awesome manner. Black Hole Slam for the win. **

Chris Daniels comes out to do commentary.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Shocker
Pretty basic spotfest match, tons of spots, dives Lucha style pin near falls. Dutt looks really good again, as oppose to shocker who outside Lucha armdrags and weird crazy pin type moves contributes nothing. He does hit this pretty sweet powerbomb off the top for the win.

Backstage: Raven cuts a promo, it’s a bunch of big long worded promo. I have no idea what he’s talking about.

NEXT WEEK: TITO TALKS!

The Outlaw vs. Konnan
This goes all of one minute and a half until the Outlaw creams Konnan with a chair shot, BG and Ron come out as Konnan is out cold. Outlaw leaves smiling at BG.

Earlier Today, Mike Tenay had a sit-down interview with both Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles in the ring. Empty Arena style. Jeff says this is another ploy against him, he gives a list of everyone he has beaten since he’s been in TNA. He says Dusty only brought Tito in because he’s not sure about this PUNK. He calls AJ wet behind the ears and says AJ isn’t ready?!?!?!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK! SO WE GONNA PRETEND AJ ISN’T A TWO TIME NWA CHAMPION AND HE WASN’T THE ONE TO BEAT JEFF BOTH THOSE TIMES TO BECOME CHAMPION? Fucking TNA. Jeff says he'll slap Tito too, and says AJ is gonna get stroked. AJ says this is always been a goal of his, AJ tries to talk but Jeff keeps talking. It goes on and on. STOP ACTING LIKE THEY'VE NEVER EVEN FACED EACH OTHER BEFORE OR AJ HAS NEVER BEEN WORLD CHAMPION!

Michael Shane (w/Trinity) vs. Chris Sabin (w/Tracy)
So this gets the special 30-minute time limit for reasons no one knows. At least Trinity and Tracy ditched those god awful tag teams for Sabin and a slightly above average talent in Shane. This is fine, they know each other so well, so we get some really dope counters and reversals, even some new stuff added but the hatred isn’t like it was from 2004. Shane isn’t completely useless, Shane targets Sabins head and neck, it really good but Sabin has the most ass backward selling ever. He doesn’t sell or grab the neck the whole beating, but as soon as he makes a comeback now he begins grabbing the neck and wincing in pain. The match ends when Shane goes for the superkick but Sabin grabs it and counters into a side rolling pin for the win. After the match; Shane hits Sabin with a superkick. Trinity picks up Sabin and Shane hits him with 2 more. Tracy finally has seen enough and pulls Trinity off, Shane begins tunning up the band but the show just ends. **1/2 - **3/4

4 Way Elimination Match: “Primetime” Elix Skipper vs. Eric Young (w/Scott D’Amore) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Christopher Daniels
This is super random but really enjoyable. Daniels and Young team up early, about 3 minutes in Raven attacks Jeff and they brawl to the back, so Jeff is eliminated I guess. A commercial really fucks this, as we go from 7 minutes to 4. Daniels keeps knocking Eric and Skipper off the apron to waste time and that takes 2 minutes off the clock. Scott tries to interfere but he gets knocked off the apron, Skipper eventually gets back in and begins teeing off on Daniels as Young waits on the floor, but as soon as he gets in Skipper hits him with Sudden Death and pins him. But time expires the same time Skipper cradles Daniels, the bell rings but the ref raises Skipper hand like he won. Boy TNA botched the shit out of that finish. If you’re gonna do a finish or a 4 way it should have gotten the special 15 minute time limit. **

Mike Tenay shows the replay and tries to clean up the botched finish of the last match.

Pretty awesome AJ Styles video package airs.

Video Package on the history between AMW/Naturals matches.

Fuckin Tito video package, this geek is getting way too much air time for someone who is only a ref for one match.

Video Package on Raven/Hardy.

10 Man Gauntlet Match: First Man Out is #1
Sabin and Shane start, Sabin has his jaw bandaged up, they do stuff. Roode is #3, Petey is #4, David Young is #5, Roode gets eliminated after and kicks by Sabin? So does that mean the match is over? Roode is first out? HOLY SHIT! TRYTAN IS BACK! WHO THE FUCK WISHED HIM BACK TO EARTH? He eliminates Young, Shane and Petey as A-1 is #7, Lance Hoyt is #8, Abyss is #9, at the same time Lance eliminates TRYTAN LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Fuckin Apolo is #10. A-1 gets eliminated for no fucks. It’s down to SABIN, Abyss, Hoyt, and Apolo. Abyss throws out Apolo and we get some cool Sabin trying to fight the two monsters at the same time, but in the ends, he can’t and gets kicked to the floor.

Abyss and Hoyt have a pretty shitty big man vs. big man match, Abyss isn’t the carrier type guy and Hoyt who is super over for reasons I don’t know is still pretty shit. Abyss hits him with the Black Hole Slam for the win. Mike says with that Abyss is entrant #20 at Hard Justice.

Word fucked up, it all got deleted after the Daniels match. And I didn't feel like writing about the main event because Jeff sucked and somehow dragged AJ to his worse match to date.

Sonny Siaki vs. Monty Brown
Fine Monty squash, he finally looks like he might be on track again after his atrocious 2 months being with the washed WCW guys.

Backstage: Terry Taylor who is filling in for Shane Douglas is with Tracy and Michael Shane, Tracy turned heel at the PPV. Shane says the people around here tried their best to keep them apart but they are the ones that do the playing. Shane says Sabin is dumb, Tracy says Shane super kicking Trinity improved her face. Tracy says it’s time for Shane to take back his X-Divison title.

Mike Tenay is in the ring and brings out NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! AJ STYLES! AJ says he still can’t believe it and this may sound a little cheesy but he thanks all the fans. Mike then brings up Abyss winning the gauntlet match and is now the #1 contender. AJ says he hasn’t forgotten about Lockdown, but then Jeff Jarrett comes out. UGH! Jeff says everyone should be ashamed of themselves, it took 2 men to beat him. He says he earned his title win unlike him. He then says at Slamaversery he wants his rematch. Monty Brown comes from the crowd, and he attacks AJ from behind! They beat on him, BUT ABYSS RUNS OUT! They tease Abyss fighting Jeff and Monty but instead, he hits AJ with the Black Hole Slam. They then all beat on AJ until Sean Waltman and AMW make the save.

Backstage: Jeff and Dusty are arguing, Dusty, says Jeff has his rematch but it will be in King of the Mountain ~ Jeff, Monty, Abyss, AJ and a wildcard. Jeff says they had the numbers last month but not anymore. THE BELT IS COMING HOME!

Larry Zbyszko is on commentary, but Raven comes out! Raven says he shouldn't even have to come out here and ask to be the wild card. He tells Larry to put him into the match or this show becomes a blood bath. Larry says he doesn't know who it is, Raven says TELL HIM HE’S THE WILDCARD……Larry goes to talk but Raven nails him with the mic. Larry gets a few punches in but Raven hits him with a chair and Evenflows him in the ring. He says if he can't be the champion, he'll be the destruction of this company, and he Evenflows him again. Security tries to help but Raven beats them up too. Dusty comes out and says Raven won't be either of those things and he suspends him. RAVEN SAYS HE CAN’T SUSPEND HIM………….HE QUITS! AWESOME ANGLE!

Backstage: Ron and BG are talking, BG says something about missing his flight and Ron says so he doesn’t have his number. Ron says ain’t no more Kru.

So during Daniels entrance Michael Shane runs out and gets in Daniels' face about a title show, Daniels brushes him off and Shane backs off.

Cassidy Riley vs. Christopher Daniels
Daniels showcase it cool, Angels Wings wins it. After the match; Shane runs back out and attacks Chris Daniels. Sabin comes out for the save, but he accidentally hits Daniels. All three start fighting until security break it up.

Backstage: AJ barges into Dusty’s office, AJ says he’s a fighting champion. Jeff is trying to ruin the show, he says he can’t wait until June 19th to get his hands on Jeff. Dusty then makes a match next week. Jeff/Monty vs. AJ/Anyone he wants.

#1 Contenders Match Team Canada (Petey Williams & Eric Young w/Scott D’Amore and A-1) vs. America’s Most Wanted
This gets 30 minutes so that neat, but I really hate that they now have Petey at the tag guy instead of Roode. Petey sucks at everything. Sadly they don’t do the AMW formula of amazing brawling and work it as a tradition tag match, Storm gets the better of both Petey and EY until the commercial and when we return the Canadian’s are now in control, thanks TNA for showing me how the heels took over. They iso Harris and it’s pretty cool, but Harris isn’t nearly as good of a bumper as Storm. Storms hot tag it good, but I always liked Harris hots better. The match breaks down and the Canadian’s do the sharpshooter/elbow drop spot for two, Harris then takes out EY and go to hit the PowerPlex but A-1 rolls in and Harris spears him instead of letting A-1 attacking him and they win via DQ. That allows Petey to ‘rana Storm and use the ropes for the win. After the match; AMW shows signs of frustration. **1/4

Mikey Tenay announces Sean Waltman will be AJ’s partner, Jeff, and Monty comes out and join commentary. Well, Jeff does Monty just stands next to him :(

Abyss vs. Chris Sabin
Reall good big man vs. little man match, Sabin does the stick and move offense and has a lot of successes with it. I love Sabin’s jumping forearms, because of the size difference. Little shit like that is dope. Sabin does this AWESOME leapfrog over the ringpost and ‘ranas Abyss on the floor. He goes for it again but Abyss catches him and swings him into the steel steps. AWESOME! Sabin’s bumping in this is great, Sabin can only come back by going to the air. He gets a couple of near falls but Shane and Tracy come out, Tracy distracts the ref allowing Shane to hit Sabin with the superkick. Abyss then follows up with the torture rack for the win. After the match; Jeff and Abyss celebrate. Jeff extends the hand, they shake…….BUT ABYSS PULLS HIM IN AND NAILS JEFF WITH THE BLACK HOLD SLAM. Abyss and Monty then face off as Impact goes off the air. **3/4

Ron Killings & BG James vs. America’s Most Wanted
I like the concept of this both teams are going through a rough patch, so their’s some miscommunications and reluctantly between partners, neither team can really control the match like they want to. The match breaks down and Storm slides a chair in but Harris doesn’t want to at first, but when he does go to pick it up Ron hits him with a scissors kick onto the chair for the win. AMW argue after the match, and Ron leaves the ring and doesn’t celebrate with BG. The Outlaw comes out to attack Truth, but BG takes the bullet for him. He then attacks Truth until Konnan makes the save. Ron then hits BG with the shoe even though BG sacrificed himself. He then goes to help but both Konnan and Ron shove him away. Outlaw bails laughing at these fools.

Backstage: Terry Taylor is with AMW who are still arguing, Harris says they are just in a slump and they will pick it up. Storm says it’s time for a change, he challenges 3LK to a match at the PPV.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ZACK GOWIN MAKES HIS DEBUT. FUCK I THOUGHT AFTER 2003 I WOULD NEVER HAVE TO SEE THIS CRIPPLE AGAIN.

Romeo vs. Zack Gowen
I have no idea who the fuck this Romeo smurf is but he sucks and Gowin still sucks, everything sucks. The cripple wins.

Backstage: Terry Taylor is with Chris Sabin, Sabin say he hasn’t forgotten about what Shane and Tracy did to him, he will not fall for that twice. Trinity comes over and tries to form a partnership. She says they don’t have to like each other but as long as they do their part.

Scott D’Amore joins commentary.

Bruno of Phi Delta Slam vs. Lance Hoyt
NO!

The fat fucks try to attack Lance after the match but he takes them out, Scott D’Amore gets on the mic and stalls and challenges Lance to a fight. he has his back turned and Roode runs out from the other entrance and hits Lance with the Canadian flag hockey stick. Mike Tenay announces at Slamaversery it will be Roode vs. Hoyt.

Replay of Raven quitting, we then cut to exclusive footage of Raven tries to run over a camera man. Raven says Dusty is holding him back from his destiny and this is a conspiracy, now that he quit he will destroy any and everything in TNA. The blood will be on Dusty’s hands until he gets his world title shot.

Backstage: Terry Taylor is with the Naturals, Chase says he knows the road isn’t getting any easier and welcomes all challengers. Andy says he knows what to expect with Team Canada. He says “HE” sat them down and they got the gameplay, it’s now up to them to execute. Terry asks who is “HE?” THESE HOES AIN’T LOYAL! Candido ain’t been dead for longer than 28 days “Kayfabe” and you already moved on SMH!

The Naturals vs. David Young & Lex Lovett
I should mention the naturals are now babyfaces because no way people were boooo’ing them after Candido passing. They that kinda fucks them up. They are not Pun intended Babyfaces, they bump like them but the comeback and feds don’t feel natural. To my knowledge, this is their first time being babyfaces in TNA. It’s weird. They give Young and Lovett way too much on offense, Chase’s hot tag is cool but it just doesn’t feel right. I will say it’s not all on them as the jobbers 2.0 are not credible at all so it’s kinda hard to buy the potential of the Naturals losing. In the end, they hit the Natual disaster for the win. After the match; Team Canada run down and lay them out. *3/4

Monty Brown & Jeff Jarrett vs. Sean Waltman & AJ Styles
This is shockingly good, the faces get the upper hand early until Monty kills Pac with a lariat and the heels take over, good control segment on Pac. Abyss comes out onto the stage to watch on. AJ has a really good hot tag. The match breaks down and Jeff picks up the guitar but the ref tries to pull it away, Monty then picks up Pac but Pac low blows Monty and Jeff shoves the ref. Jeff swings the guitar and accidentally hits Monty with it. Pac holds Jeff in the corner allowing AJ to hit the spiral tap off the top for the win. **3/4

Okay, so TNA's TV contract with Fox Sports expired and was not continued. So This left the company with no TV network for June. Well until June 24th, the show after Slamaversery. I was reading that TNA turned to the internet air webcasts, and made them available through BitTorrent, and later Real Player. I can't find those shows so oh well.

Also, during that time Dusty Rhodes decided to step down as head writer. THANK GOD!

PPV up next.

TNA Slammiversary
June 19th, 2005
Orlando, Florida

On the pre-show, Jarrett and Raven get into a brawl. But some fan dressed as Jeff Hardy gets in Jeff’s face so Jeff pulls him over the rails and beats him up. Now, Jarrett has been arrested and is being taken to jail. New DoA, Larry Zbyszko has replaced Jeff with RAVEN! In the King of the Mountain match.

Zach Gowen vs. Delirious vs. Jerrelle Clark vs. Amazing Red vs. Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy
This is cool, they do not go balls to the wall, it feels really held back and they do the, you have to tag in to be in. Jarrelle Clark shined he hit some awesome dives and moves, Red was sloppy and trash at the beginning but as the match moves along he would get his groove back. I also liked that Delirious kept cutting off Gowen every time he wanted to get his shit in. Tower of doom is still trash, the match breaks down and everyone hits a big move but it pin cover get broken up. Shark boy ends up hitting Dead Sea Drop for the win. I legit think the only reason Shark Boy won this is he’s currently in a lawsuit over his name that was going on at the time. TNA trying to capitalize off it lul. Poor Skipper. 2 Months ago he was in position to be “THE” guy. **1/2

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Shocker, Shocker says he came to TNA for competition. He calls himself the best Mexican Luchador. Alex Shelley comes over and puts Shocker over before saying he can do everything Shocker can but he can do more, he knows every wrestling style in the world and he has a counter for everything. See you out there.

Mike Tenay announces TNA Impact will now be shown on TNAwrestling.com

Alex Shelley vs. Shocker
So this is Shelly’s return match, TNA now bringing ROH talent back :mark: Shelley totally out wrestles him and embarrasses him to start, he wrestles circles around him but when Shocker goes for his counter he looks so old and slows it totally fucks up the pace of the match. Shocker’s movements don’t look natural at all, it’s like when you do something and you have to say what your gonna do next in your head. Shocker goes for a moonsault but Shelley gets the knee’s up right into the chest that looks nasty, sadly, Shelley half ass works it so he would do some submission holds but then when he randomly lets go he would do some other shit that has nothing to do with the chest. Shocker doesn’t sell one bit to no one’s surprise. NEVER MIND THIS STUPID SHIT! MIKE TENAY ANNONCESES SAMOA JOE IS DEBUTING TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! West does a great job getting over that Shelley is owning Shocker at his own style and him having a counter for everything. Shocker gets a flash cradle rollup for the win. **1/4 - **1/2

Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #5 AJ Styles beating Jeff Jarrett for the NWA Championship, 6/11/2003.

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews 3LK, Konnan ask where BG's head and heart are and where his loyalty is. BG says his home is where his heart is, he says tonight they roll 3 deep and tonight his actions will prove where his loyalty is. They all dap one another up.

The Outlaw vs. Ron Killings
Solid, not much to write about. It’s a decent TV match. They don’t do much, it’s slowed down and everything makes sense. IDK what else to say, it’s just fine. Truth bumps around like 80% of the match and The Outlaw looks motivated and does some good things. Ron has this weird sloppy rollup for the win. After the match; The Outlaw attacks Ron from behind, he beats him down before grabbing a chair. BG runs out and takes the chair away, Outlaw turns his back to BG to hit him but he won’t do it, so Konnan runs out and attacks the Outlaw and shoves him. Outlaw bails and 3LK have more words with each other. Pretty great build just a shame all 3 suck, poor Truth he deserves better. **

Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #4 Raven Debut.

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Team Canada, Petey says tonight The Naturals losing streak begins, Scott D’Amore says it doesn’t matter that The Naturals got a new manager the results will be the same. Roode says Lance Hoyt may have had a couple of wins in the past but not tonight.

NWA World Tag Team Championship: Team Canada (Eric Young and Petey Williams w/A-1 & Coach Scott D'Amore) vs. The Naturals
This goes 15 minutes, and it should never have gotten that for various reasons. 1, Petey is god awful and barely go 5 with his none storytelling ass. And 2, The Naturals are not babyfaces material, they bump like faces but they are at their best being this despicable cheating pieces of shit and they have these punchable faces. The weird part of the match, EY fakes a knee injury but Chase bumps him down twice with punches and gives one to Petey to, but EY “recovers” and dumps him to the floor giving the Canadians the advantage. I like the storytelling of it but the exhaustion was poor. I like the heat segment on Chase, for the most part, but they do 1 of the 2 thinks that pisses me off in tag wrestling, they begin targeting the lower back and that’s really good but then they just randomly story and begins targeting the head/threat with chokes and rest holds. Andy’s hot tag is one of the few highlights, he cleans house for about a minute but the numbers catch up to him. The match breaks down and both teams get some real good near falls. A-1 interfere but FUCKIN JIMMY HART comes out, he’s the Naturals “New advisor” LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! How do I not remember this, wait did I just imagine Shane Douglas’s Franchise Naturals gimmick? Anyway, Hart throws in the megaphone and Chase hits Petey with it and rolls him up for the win. God fucking damnit. Jimmy Hart? Really? **

Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #3 LOCKDOWN 2005 loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Sean Waltman, Shane asks Sean Waltman and asks how he got this shot, and he says he's one hell of a politician, as Shane might know. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! YES. He says he deserves it as much as anyone, and it's every man for himself, and he'll do what he has to do to get that belt.

Sonjay Dutt vs. SAMOA JOE
HELL MOTHERFUCKING YEAH! PRIME 2005 JOE! :mark: Fuckin great for 6 minutes. I miss prime Joe, I miss the run up the ropes knee, I MISS THE FACEWASH/OLE KICK! I miss the rolling leg sweep into the senton backsplash. Sonjay also has his best showing to date, he shows a ton of heart and he keeps coming back after the beating weathering Joe’s storm and uses his speed to frustrate Joe. Joe hits the muscle buster followed by the rear naked choke for the win. **3/4

TNA Bound for Glory: October 24th, 2005

Bobby Roode (W/Coach Scott D’Amore) vs. Lance Hoyt
So this is cool, it’s like a modern version of the Truth/Outlaw match it’s technically fine and everything but it’s pretty whatever, it’s Lance’s best showing to date and Roode is getting so much better as singles he doesn’t look like a fish out of water like the first did. It’s crazy to look at Roode in 2005 and then 11/12 years later. Who knew the dude would become GLORIOUS! A hilarious spot is Roode goes hits an atomic drop but Lance no-sells because he HAS NO DICK! The finishing stretch is cool, we get like 5 Coach D’Amore interferences in a row before Roode finally puts him down with a Northern Lariat for the win. After the match, Scott D’Amore begins talking shit as Roode beats him down, but LANCE FIGHTS BACK AND CHOKESLAMS SCOTT D’AMORE AND THE MOONSAULT for the pop of the night. Team Canada run out as Lance bails. D'Amore is then stretchered out :lmao **

America’s Most Wanted vs. 3LK
So this is supposed to be the battle of the miscommunications and problems, but the problem is no team showed dissension for the entire match. I liked AMW working the aggressive role more of the heel role, just a shame I have to wait 5 months or so for AMW to become THE GOATS in my eyes. They isolate both BG and Konnan at times but 3LK are so trash that the match is so slow neither sell and it feels half-assed. The match ends when all four get in but the Outlaw comes out and attacks Konnan on the floor, but BG is too involved with the match to see it. That allows AMW to hit The Heart Foundations’ Heart attack for the win. After the match; AMW leaves and Konnan gets back in. They argue for a bit as Konnan asks for the dap but, this time, BG walks out on him! The Outlaw is waiting on the ramp for him, but he shakes his head, and he leaves through the crowd instead. **

Triple-Threat Elimination Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Michael Shane (w/Tracy) vs. Chris Sabin (w/Trinity) vs. Christopher Daniels
Shoutout to Trinity, she maybe be ugly af but her outfit tonight it on another level, just a shame she doesn’t have the boobs for it either. Aside from that this ruled, opening 5 minutes are great super face paced, we get all 3 in doing counters and spots before the individual interactions. Sabin/Daniels ruled. Everything is really laid out really out, outside them breaking up pins. Like you, people do know it is an elimination. I wonder if it’s out of extinct or are they just Blue. Shane looked the best he has looked all year at playing the wormy, sneak, waiting heel picking his spots and even suckering Daniels into team with him just for him to be the first to turn, so he outsmarts Daniels at his own game. The match turns up now, all 3 gets their time to shine with dives, sports, big moves and control of the match. Tracy trips up Sabin, So Trinity trips up Shane. That leads to a CATFIGHT! Shane goes to hit Trinity with a superkicks but Sabin cuts him off with a kick. Daniels then has Trinity in the angel's wings position, as Sabin picks up Shane for the Cradle Shock. Now in my story, I’m gonna say DANIELS TELLS Sabin to hit the move or he hits Trinity with the Angels wings so Sabin does and eliminates Shane, but Daniels being the amazing piece of shit that he is hits her with it anyway. We then get 6 minutes of Daniels/Sabin goodness; it’s like their impact matches just shorter. Tons of really good counters and moves. The match ends when Sabin goes for one springboard too many and Daniels kicks the ropes from under him dropping Sabin crotch first onto the ropes, he then hits the Angels Wings for the win. ***1/4

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Monty Brown, he says Jeff being sent to JA-JA-JA-JAIL has no effects on him he will run through everyone in the match and they will all find out why he is the Alpha Male.

King of the Mountain match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Monty Brown vs. Abyss vs. Sean Waltman vs. Raven vs. AJ Styles
As soon as the bell ring shits breaks down, and Monty hits the POOOOOUUUUUNNNNNNCEEEEEEEE on Raven 30 seconds in. this is probably the best KOTM match, it’s about 15 minutes so they cut all the filler and unnecessary shit, all 5 mix up brawling along with high flying really well. I’m not gonna cover all the pinfalls just the ones that make the wrestlers eligible. Monty absolutely kills AJ off a pounce but Raven fresh out of the penalty box pulls AJ out and covers him for three. Sean and AJ are both in the box and decide to join up, I only know that because Mike snitches on them and then they shake hands on camera. Abyss hits Monty with the black hole slam, and pins him. So only AJ and Sean are the only ones left yet to qualify. I like Abyss’ hatred for AJ is so strong that he keeps breaking up AJ pin attempts, Sean then whacks Abyss in the head with a steel chair before placing him onto a table. He signals over, AJ hits a spiral tap to the floor through the table, and he covers for three. Late in the match, as AJ is climbing the ladder he drops the title but Waltman picks it up he hands it to him. HOWEVER, AT THE VERY LAST SECOND SEAN TURNS ON HIM, HITS HIM WITH THE X-FACTOR OFF THE LADDER, AND PINS AJ. They do more stuff as Mike Tenay completely forgets Sean turned on AJ so he’s about to shit on the match. Don West is useless and don’t correct him because he’s pussy. Abyss pushes AJ and Sean off a ladder to the floor. AND MONTY HITS THE POOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE. AND RAVEN OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THE EVENFLOW! He gets the belt and climbs up, but Raven gets up on the other side. Abyss almost has the belt locked, BUT RAVEN GETS HIGHER AND KICKS HIM IN THE FACE! RAVEN GRABS THE BELT FROM HIM AS HE GOES DOWN AND HOOKS IT. RAVEN WINS! Poor AJ, getting a 2-week televised world title run. Don’t worry. In 11 years, the whole world will appreciate you. *** - ***1/4

King of the Mountain had to be one of the worst concepts ever made.

TNA logic...."Let's just do the reverse of gimmicks that worked" :RUSSO:

Also...did Elix Skipper botch the rope walk in this match? I remember him doing that alot during this time.
