Never understood why so many people always thought HBK sucked on the mic. That promo above is fantastic. he could talk when he wanted to, he just didn't always do so.

Both men have their pros and cons on the microphone, but Shawn was more effective when it came to skits and segments while Hogan was more effective when it came to promos, if that makes sense. So I'm voting Hogan, BROTHER!

Hogan, HBK had a knack of being way too cheesy.

As a babyface yes, but as a heel I think he was excellent the heat he drew in DX was amazing.

This is tough I do think Hogan is a bit overrated on the mic, but I suppose quite often his promos have been more stand out than HBK's and just going on his first big WWF run and then NWO reign I think he made the greater impact.

I always thought Shawn Michaels was an incredible mic worker as of around 1995 or so, and I never understood why he got so much shit. Hogan is good too though, but I just never enjoyed his work as much.

I think when he was midcarder the HBK character worked as a face, but when he got the world title he flopped as a face, it was his 97 heel turn which took him to the next level. I did enjoy his early HBK days post Rockers too.
