Chapter Ten "The Place To Be"

2008 was the year that the NWA finally caught the WWE. Every week was a ratings war as both teetered weekly as the top wrestling program. Things escalated as NWA atttracted more WWE stars as the year progressed, as they saw NWA as the future of the business. The first shocking big name to switch was commentator, Jerry Lawler. Lawler with his good friend, Jim Ross and his son, Brian Lawler being with the NWA instead seemed like a logical choice. On air the move was explained as NWA owner, John Layfied fired Dusty Rhodes after Rhodes criticized him. This was the first of many for 2008.

Kurt Angle rolled right into 2008 as the champ and kept up his feud with Randy Orton. Angle came out successfully at two pay per views eeking out victories in both. In the second match, Orton suffered a serious injury costing him the rest of the year. The NWA sprung into action with one of their top stars out and Angle was attacked by newcomer Bobby Lashley, who signed up for a six month contract during the Orton injury. Angle and Lashley was a great feud as Angle used his techincal prowess to overcome the strenght of Lashley, After a team war where Lashley's team came out victorious, they faced at the next pay per view where Lashley won via countout. This outcome led to a third pay per view matchup as Angle defeated Lashley after reversing the Dominator into an Angle Lock. After the match Lashley turned on his boss, John Layfield fed up with the verbal abuse. Layfield then activated himself and defeated Angle at the next pay per view. Layfield as owner and champion made Angle go the back of the line and denied him a rematch. Layfield though found himself against his former employee, Bobby Lashley. After help from his bodyguard, Matt Morgan, Layfield picked up a victory at the next pay per view over Lashley. Lashley then tricked Layfield into a steel cage match next for the title. Layfield put in the stipulation that if Lashley lost he would leave the NWA. At the end of the match, Layfield got hand cuffs through the cage from Morgan and locked Lashley to the turnbuckle allowing himself to escape. On the next episode of "Impact" the startling return of Jeff Jarrett arrived as he challenged Layfiled. John though made Jarrett jump through ropes before finally giving him the match. At the next pay per view, Jeff Jarrett won the NWA World Championship after hitting the stroke on Layfield after Matt Morgan turned on the owner. It was soon found out that Layfield had lost a great portion of his wealth and had to sell the NWA. A broken Layfield was booed out of the "Impact Zone" after making the announcement and wasn't seen the rest of the year. The final three pay per views saw the feud of Jarrett and Edge, where Jarrett one the first one only to lose the title to Edge in the second. Edge then took on Jarrett in a ladder match where he retained the NWA World Title going into 2009.

As United States Champion, Booker T, used his wife Sharmell definately to his advantage as she paid off helping Booker T keep the title for the first six months of 2008. We saw Abyss, Christian Cage, and Sean O'Haire all try unsuccessfully to try to pry the title away from Booker. Then finally Booker T lost the title in a four way matchup to Antonio Banks in the summer. Banks as champion was ten times worse then Booker T. Banks couldn't be more full of himself during his three month reign as champ. He welcomed back his old tag team partner, Ken Anderson, back from injury only to find out Anderson wasn't his biggest fan of late. Anderson took the title from Banks in October ending one of the best promo feuds in NWA history. Anderson was quickly becoming one of the fan favorites in the NWA until he ran into Jim Cornette's monster, the undefeated Oleg Prudius. The big Russian defeated Ken Anderson after help from Cornette in December, vaulting him as one of the most hated wrestlers on "Impact".

The most hated wrestlers title belonged to the NWA World Tag-Team Champions, The Beautiful People. Johnny Superstar and Frankie Hollywood along with their "girlfriends" Velvet Sky and Angelina Love rubbed everybody the wrong way. Everybody wanted to shut them up but somehow the team held onto the titles for all of 2008. The Dudleys, The Samoan Family, The Hooligans and a team of Christian Cage and Rhino came out unsuccessfully.

For rest of the roster 2008 saw some interesting feuds. Angle after losing the title went on vacation and came back in the fall and found himself in a feud with Antonio Banks who stole Angle's gold medal and started wearing it as his "bling". The feud was still going hot and heavy into 2009.

Sting was on and off again the shows the whole year nursing injuries. He feuded with Edge for the first part of the year, only to find himself attacked by the mysterious Abyss after the last match with Edge. Returning three months later, Sting sought revenge from Abyss and feuded with him into early November, ending the feud victorious in a street fight with the monster. Sting then found himself as the enemy of Booker T after Booker accused him of messing with Sharmell. After denying the accusations, they had a match with Sharmel on the line after Booker demanded it. Sting won the matchup in December and the backlash is yet to be seen as Booker T isn't happy about it.

After his US title loss, Sean O'Haire went to Japan in the NWA talent exchange. Internationally, O'Haire became bigger then ever defeating The Great Muta for the Triple Crown Championship. Although still signed with the NWA for a long period, nobody knows when O'Haire will come back to the States.

Christian Cage found himself wondering about his future after being left out of the main event scene for all of 2008. He found himself in feuds with Antonio Banks, Ekmo, James Storm, Finlay and the new developmental call-up Ted Dibiase Jr.before ending the year tagging up with Rhino. With Cage's contract nearing it's end, nobody knows what the future has in store for "The Instant Classic".

Before attacking Sting, Abyss kept up his feud with Vampiro, crushing him in a NO-DQ matchup. Vampiro then left for a tour of Mexico and Japan. After the Sting matchups, Abyss saw the return of his old nemesis James Mitchell and his new protege Matt Bloom. The two giants were still waging war going into 2009.

Finlay made him some fans as he chose to fight anybody. He had great matches with Cage, Robby Roode and Rhino throughout the year. Although he mostly found himself jobbing in the matches, his backstage challenges that preceded the feuds made people start to cheer for the Irishman.

Broke free from Layfield. Matt Morgan quickly started running off with impressive squash matches. Jim Ross and Lawler praised him as the next big star and the future of the business, things looked bright for Morgan. In December in a number one contender's match for the US title, Morgan was attacked out of nowhere by Scott Steiner. Steiner stated his opinion that Morgan was a joke to the wrestling world and that "Big Poppa Pump" would prove it, in 2009 we will see.

The tag team scene was mostly jumbled away from the titles as the biggest news outside of that became the break-up of the Samoan Family and the new team of "Beer Money". After failing once again in their matchup for the titles, Ekmo had enough of Kishi's way of doing things and viciously attacked his relative. This led to a new persona of Ekmo who destroyed Kishi in one on one matchups in the fall and gave Christian Cage all he wanted in their matchups. 2009 could be the year of Ekmo.

During the 2008 year, Heidenreich, Black Reign and Rodney Mack was giving walking papers as none of the stars could find solid places on the show.

On Impact, 2008 saw returns of big stars and debuts of new ones. Jeff Jarrett and Oleg Prudius came out of nowhere to win gold as others like Randy Orton, Kurt Angle and Sting missed long period of times. But through it all, "Impact" kept up with the WWE in ratings and proved itself as the place to be.

Chapter Eleven..."X=Prime Time"

The brand extension of "Xplosion" had become a success being able to attract bigger names and solid ratings. The mixture of veterans and youthful talent had become the recipe for success and the NWA decided that it had outgrown its 6pm Saturday Night time slot on FoxSports. They soon let networks know that the contract with FoxSports had expired and was shopping for a new home for the television program. The upstart network, G4, offered a prime time slot for "Xplosion" to be shown on Tuesday nights at the same time against WWE's ECW program. The deal also consisted of four weekly one hour episodes, showing two programs for the young developmental talent in NWA's Ring of Honor as well as two showcasing NWA's talent that would be touring the world such as Sean O"Haire's run as Triple Crown Champion. The NWA accepted the offer of "G4" looking at the network's appeal to younger edgier viewers that the "Xplosion" was created for. The deal gave the NWA the ability to gauge the audience's reaction to stars in ROH and internationally, allowing them to better know, who should get called up and you needs more time and to see if they could truly compete head to head with WWE in primetime.

After the protest of Christopher Daniel's outcome of his match with X-Division Champion, Chris Jericho, "Xplosion" Commisioner, Raven, reviewed the footage and declared the championship vacant. Instead of just issuing a rematch, Raven decided since "Xplosion" had a new home, that they needed to something big and ordered a tournament for the X-Divsion Title. He announced that the it would be a 32 man tournament and open to any wrestlers world wide. He said it would last two months with the whole tournament taking place on cable televison. This created quite a stir in the lockeroom as everybody on the roster now had a shot at the big prize.

Skipping the first two pay per views of 2008 in favor of a X-Division tournament was seen as a risky manuever by critics but the NWA wanted to make an immediate impact in ratings on the new station and against WWE's ECW program. Announcements were made on the NWA website that international stars Takeshi Morishima, KENTA, Jushin Liger and Mistico had signed on to take part of the X-Division Tournament.

The initial group of first round matches were televised on "Xplosion" as we saw Chris Jericho defeat Alex Shelley, Teddy Hart upsetting Matt Hardy with assistance from DH Smith, Takieshi Morishima crushing Carlito Colon and the surprise debut of Rob Van Dam defeating one-half of the World Tag Team Champs Jay Briscoe.

The next week the next 8 wrestlers competed with Samoa Joe viciously defeating Jay Lethal, Mistico, in impressive manner, defeating Austin Aries, KENTA knocking out Brian Kendrick and finally the debut of Rey Mysterio Jr. as he won a hard fought battle with Low Ki.

The following week saw the next 8 as Christopher Daniels after being distracted by Chris Jericho fell to Matt Sydal, Gregory Helms, with help from Larry Sweeney defeated Bryan Danileson in his debut, Hernandez won a hard fought battle with Mark Briscoe and Jeff Hardy, with great fan support defeated another international legend in Jushin Liger which was considered the match of the night by many.

In the final week of the first round, AJ Styles returned from his sabbatical and defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr, Kofi Kingston, the NWA Television Champion stayed undefeated with a win over Chris Sabin, Homicide joined his tag team partner in the second round by beating Jack Evans and finally CM Punk defeated DH Smith after a failed attempt to help by Teddy Hart.

The first round proved to be a ratings success as the tournament outdrew ECW in viewers and the second round had tremondous matchups set. The first week of second round matches saw Chris Jericho defeating Teddy Hart, Rob Van defeating Takeshi Morishima, Rey Mysterio beating KENTA and Samoa Joe avoiding the upset over Mistico. The second week of second round lacked the star power of the first week but the action of the matches didn't disappoint as Gregory Helms kept the impressive debut beating Matt Sydal, Jeff Hardy defeated the largest tournament participant in Hernandez, AJ Styles won by forfeit after attacking Kofi Kingston backstage (keeping Kofi's undefeated streak alive) and CM Punk eliminated Homicide.

The third round shaped up with some of the biggest up and coming stars in the business but the veterans proved to not be impressed as Chris Jericho advanced in a great matchup with RVD, Samoa Joe ended the impressive run by Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy get up the momentum defeating Gregory Helms and AJ Styles proved to still have Punk's number with the win.

After two months of action and ratings the final four was set with Chris Jericho, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk being left standing. Samoa Joe was relentess and came out victorious over Chris Jericho and Jeff Hardy pulled off the upset by defeating CM Punk both in great match-ups. Commisioner Raven announced that both wrestlers would be given a week to rest before the championship match to recover from the brutal schedule of the last month. Two weeks later Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe put on the match of the year and after a hour of great wrestling, Jeff Hardy became X-Division Champion, hitting the Swanton Bomb for the win. That night "Xplosion" not only defeated ECW in the ratings but also was the top rated wrestling show period. "Xplosion" was a hit and not holding the first two pay per views now seemed like a shrewd move.

Jeff Hardy won on a string in the next few months as he feuded with Samoa Joe in any kind of match imagined. They wrestled in Ladder, Steel Cages, annd TLC with Hardy finding a way to win somehow as he quickly became one of the most popular wresters on "Xplosion". With Samoa Joe in his rearview mirror, he came out victorious in feuds with AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam and Gregory Helms and is still champion going into 2009.

The undefeated streak of Kofi Kingston came to end at the next pay per view after the tournaments as he tried to seek revenge on AJ Styles. Kofi though regained the NWA Telelvsion Title the next pay per view winning the rematch. A third matchup between the two saw Kofi once again come out on top. Kofi was seen as an up and comer by everybody and some wrestlers hated him for it and it came to light as he was attacked suprisingly by CM Punk. A heel turn by Punk was unexpected and many fans didn't the know the kind of actions he was willing to do. He caused in the attack an injury to Kofi and he couldn't compete until their pay per match. Wrestling through the pain, Kofi Kingston showed he was a champion by sucking it up and defeating Punk while still being injured. In the next months, Punk pushed Koif to more extreme measures but each time Kofi was up to the task, finally in a street fight Kofi showed a side no one had seen from him and put out Punk after a vicious piledriver through the announcer's table, Punk was out of action for the rest of 2008. Kofi then became a fighting champion against as he won matches over fellow faces Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho at the next pay per view before losing the NWa Television Championship to Rey Mysterio going into 2008.

The tag team titles was with the Briscoes after the tournament but not for long as LAX defeated them at the first pay per view of the year. Hernandez and Homicide was on a roll as they introduced Salinas as their valet. The duo steamrolled through the smaller teams in the X-Division, taking on everybody. The MCMG's, Human Highlights, Hart Attack and The Briscoes all fell by the waste side to the champs.

In other feuds, the friendship of Carlito and Chavo Guerrero ended after the tournament as the two argued and then finally developed into a serious feud. This saw family members of both wrestlers showing up throughout 2008 to put more wood on the fire in the feud. Finally in the fall, Carlito put an end to it by winning a hair VS hair match with Chavo, shaving him completely bald at the end.

The biggest news effecting "Xplosion" in late 2008 was the removal of Raven as commisioner after John Layfield selling the NWA and a surprise was announced as Mick Foley was named as his successor, Foley promised to stay out of action as he took on announcing duties also, This move didn't sit well with Raven as he once again became an active wrestler on the roster. In the next few weeks we saw Raven form another one of his misfits groups as Low Ki and Shannon Moore for the first to join and then Raven brought in a new tag team called Age of the Fall consisiting of Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs from Ring of Honor. The group named "The Cult" made an name for themselves with the beatdown of Jay Lethal putting him out of action for weeks. Commisioner Mick Foley announced that Lethal will return soo and with backup though as Foley has given Lethal contracts to find him help that he can trust to take out the Cult. The first wrestler brought in was "Lethal's cousin", Consequences Creed, as they formed a tag team and feuded with The Age of the Fall going into 2008. We also saw another one of Lethal's cousins debut later, as Elijah Burke attacked Low Ki on an episode on "Xplosion" at the end of 2008. As Shannon Moore and Raven looked on Lethal promised that another cousin was going to show on the last episode of "Xplosion" in 2008 and his promise was fulfilled as we saw a man calling himself "The Human Tornado" showed and defeated Moore in a matchup.

The year of 2008 saw the "Xplosion" becaming a steay force in ratings and superstar talent as it was no longer seen as a novelty brand of wrestlers. The star power of the wrestlers had put the show on the map and the rest of the pay per views being great buy rate sellers. And now with the famous, Mick Foley, in charge of the show the future looked even brighter.

Final Chapter "A Look Back and A Look to the Future"

Going into their fifth year of existence the NWA had established themselves as the number one wrestling promotion in the world. Dixie Carter, even though she has made a few misteps along the way, had proved herself able to survive in a men's world. The roster of free agent additions and homegrown stars have proved to be the perfect combination. But as Carter had proved she was willing to make moves to avoid the product of getting stale.

So before the start of 2009, the NWA Board of Directors reshaped the order of the year's pay per views allowing now to have two co-brand events a year. They also decided to set up their very own wrestling school to send want to be wrestlers to get trained and to then go through the extensive developmental program. The school was set up in Tampa and they hired experienced trainers Al Snow and Billy Kidman to run the program.

But then the Board of Directors was shocked to hear the resignation of Jim Cornette as head writer on Impact effective immediately. Cornette stated that the workload of writing and being on television was too much for him and would stay on the staff in a lesser role. As Carter worried about losing the creative mind that had led NWA's flagship show to it's high ratings, Cornette assured her that he might have a more than able successor. The next day, wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer was signed as the new creative writer for Impact. The move sent shockwaves through the wrestling world as Meltzer had secretly longed for a creative job in a top notch wrestling promotion and was waiting for his chance after critiquing others all these years. The NWA Board of Directors was more than happy with Cornette's choice as there was many more people more respected in the business then Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer looked of his new roster and liked what he saw and decided that if there was only one change that he want to make and hired Torrie Wilson as another beautiflul backstage reporter. He felt that one of the things that the WWE had over the NWA was the lack of women, so adding Torrie Wilson to go along with Christy Hemme, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Sharmell was a step in that direction.

So the changes to were made for 2009 and everything was soon announced on the NWA website's. There you could read the new pay per view schedule for the two shows, the front office personell, the rosters of both brands as well as developmental promotion "Ring of Honor" and the complete history of the NWA title changes for the last four years.

The NWA had comeback to the top of the wrestling world and had no problems looking back on how they got there this time. Now though they had to keep their place.

NWA Impact 1-1-09 Live From the "Impact Zone" in Orlando, Florida

(The opening is highlights from the NWA World Championship Match at Sunday's "Final Resolution" pay per view showing Edge's successful ladder match title defense against Jeff Jarrett)

(The music and pyros of the World Champion, Edge, starts off the show as Edge looks cockier then ever on his way to the ring. You can here the disgust in Jim Ross's voice as he starts to talk abou the champ)

"There he is King, our NWA World Champion, if we like it or not", Ross states sounding like he is choking on the words coming out of his mouth.

"Many people thought it was Jeff Jarrett's time once again but Edge showed that he would do whatever it takes to hang on the title." Lawler replies sounding as disappointed as JR on Edge being still the champion.

(Edge finally makes to the ring as the crowd reigns down a chorus of boos. The crowd's response doesn't seem to have any effect on the champ as by the look of the face, he is relishing every moment)

"I'm sorry to disappoint everybody, but "The Rated-R-Superstar is still your World Heavyweight Champion.". Edge smiles and holds up the belt for everybody to see.

"Did any of you people really thought that I was gonna lose to some has-been like Jeff Jarrett. If you
people did, you are more ignorant then I ever imagined." Edge smiles again as the crowd boos louder than ever.

"Our NWA "mystery" owner, has thrown many things at myself and I have triumphed over everything thrown at me and heading into the NWA's biggest pay per view "Slammiversary" in four weeks, I demand right now to know who I'm going to be facing." challenges Edge.

"So I'm speaking to you our "Owner" whoever you are, by the end of "Impact" tonight, I demand that my opponent for "Slammiversary" be named or your NWA World Champion will not be competing at Slammiversary!. So get your message sent to good ol' JR over there so he can announce it because the year 2009 will belong to the RATED R SUPERSTAR!!."

(Edge grins deviously as he drops the mic in the middle of the ring and looks over at JR at the announcer's table challenging him to say something about his demands. As is getting ready to
leave the ring as music hits the arena and his challenger from "Final Resolution", Jeff Jarrett appears to the approval of the crowd. Jarrett, brusied and battered from their matchup, is holding a mic in one hand and his trademark guitar in the other. He plays to the cheering crowd and gets ready to speak as Edge returns to the center of the ring.)

"So you want to know who is your challenger for "Slammiversary." quizzes Jarrett, as he reaches in his jacket and pulls out an envelope." I might be able to answer that for you right now like you asked."

Edge chuckles, " Don't tell me they're going to put me in the ring with you AGAIN. I know I'm entertaining enough for people to watch but I imagine everybody is getting sick of watching me beating you down at pay per views. So Jeff, if you are my challenger, save yourself another beatdown and just refuse it,huh, because I won't be responsible this time if something really bad happnes to you." Edge has went into pyscho mode as he now leers down the ramp toward Jarrett.

"Well, Edge, I'm thankful that you are worried about my personal well-being and you are right that I will be challenging you at "Slammiversary" for the NWA World Title. The way I see it, I was seconds away of being World Champion again, so this time things might be a different outcome." Jarrett has a look of confidence on his face as he answers the stare of Edge.

"JARRETT!," Edge screams,"You better remember how you feel right now, because after we go one on one again at "Slammiversary", you will dream that you will feel this good becasue I plan on ending your career for once and for all." Edge is boiling over as he insanely looks at Jarrett down the ramp.

"Hold on for one second their champ," Jarrett laughing, " Who said this is gonna be one on one? I got an invitation to participate in a World Title Gauntlet Match at "Slammiversary". Our new owner has decided that since this is the biggest pay per view on the NWA schedule, that he wanted something special for the main event." Jarrett looks pleased as Edge in the ring is besides himself with anger.

"A Gauntlet? He's is making the Rated-R-Superstar wrestle a Gauntlet!!," Edge is moreless talking to himself as he walks around the ring, yanking at his own hair. He then directs himself back at Jarrett. "So who in the hell, is the rest of the superstars that are in this conspiracy to take my World Title? TELL ME RIGHT NOW, JARRETT!!!"

"Calm down there Edge," chuckles Jarrett, " It seems that that this has touched a nerve." Are you worried?, is the great "Rated R Superstar" doubting himself." Jarrett is truly enjoying watching Edge squirm in the ring as the crowd chants "Edge Sucks" to punctuate the moment.

"Even though, Edge, I love watching you lose your mind in front of everybody, I don't have any idea on who the other competitors in the "Gauntlet" is but I did see the same messenger that delivered mine to me, knocking on some other interesting wrestler's dressing room doors after and with the names I saw on the doors, all I got to say Edge is you better be ready for "Slammiversary."

With that final comment, Jarrett's music hits and he leaves the entrance ramp to the roar of the crowd. Edge is still circling in the ring as he tries to make sense of what has just happenend. He finally exits the ring and looks like he is on a mission to find out who the other challengers are as he storms backstage.

JR is now excited after the naming of the "Gauntlet" match. "It looks like our "mystery" owner has struck again, providing us with a great main event for "Slammiversary."

Lawler, sounding like this is the greatest news ever, " JR, I don't have any idea on who this "mystery" owner is but it seems like he has a vendetta against Edge. Putting him in a match without naming his challengers,is somewhat unfair to the champ."

"Unfair? Unfair?"," Ross is outraged by the notion, "Edge will do anything to keep that title if it's breaking the rules or not. I don't think this is unfair at all, if he is half the champ that he claims to be, Edge should have no problem with this match. Let's see if he can back up his words."

"Well, I have a feeling Edge is going to find out who the rest of his opponents is, because as it looked like he was on a mission as he left the ring." Lawler responds.

"I hope he does find out, because I'm curious myself," Ross shouts for some reason." What a way to kick of 2009 here in the NWA!!"

COMMERCIAL BREAK

(We return from break as we see a cameraman following the rampaging Edge backstage as he tries desperately to find his other opponents for "Slammiversary."He turns the corner and sees Christian Cage and his tag team partner, Rhino standing there as Chrisitan is reading a piece of paper. Edge runs up and grabs the sheets out of their hands.)

"What the hell is this?" questions Edge, " You are going to be challenging me for the World Title? I consider you my friend, we broke into this business together and now you are going to betray me like that doesn't matter."

"Who are you?" asks Christian as he extends his hand, " You look like my old friend, Edge but he would have at least said hello to me this last year since he arrived here in the NWA but I haven't even received a phone call from him, have you Rhino?." Christian peers over at Rhino who shakes his head no.

Edge is shocked by Chrisitian's claim as now he starts to stutter, "WWWell, I've been busy, I'm the NWA World Champion, I jjjjustt haven't hhad time to cccatch up with you guys."

"We don't want to hear your excuses," Rhino growls, "We don't really care, and he is challenging you at "Slammiversary", the way we look at it does anybody know you as better?." Rhino glances over at Chrisitian.

"See Edge, ever since you broke into the NWA, I have pushed into the background, I used to be headlining the pay per views but now I"m back into the mid-card. At first I was happy to see you come to the NWA as I thought we could do something together special but you chose to hang out with John Layfield and Randy Orton instead of me and Rhino, your so-called friends. So don't come around here begging for help now." Chrisitan says as he gets nose to nose with Edge as you can see by his face that the situation has really irked him for years.

(After the stare down, Edge walks away as he looks more upset then other after discovering Christian is one of his "Gauntlet" challenger. He knocks over a garbage can in a swift motion as he turns the corner, the camera then zooms on the face of Christian as he looks a little upset about the matchup himself)

"So we have found the second challenger for Edge, King and boy was it shocking," JR says as he seems happy with the choice.

"Edge finding out that it's his old friend, Christian Cage, has seemed to really rattle the champ like
I've never seen before," Lawler adds with a little concern in his voice.

"But you don't have any friends when you are the World Champion, King" JR puts in.

(Music hits the arena as "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan appears on the ramp to the cheers of the crowd)

"What an impressive young athlete we have here?" JR states firmly.

"Matt Morgan has it all, JR, but lately he has found himself with his hands full with "Big Papa Pump" Scott Steiner." adds The King.

(Music hits as Morgan's tag team partner is announced as Ken Anderson strolls to the ring with a great roar of the crowd)

"There is the ex-NWA United States Champion, Ken Anderson who was upset by the undefeated Oleg Prudius, losing the title a few weeks ago right here on "Impact." JR informs that fans.

"I don't know how you can go it an upset JR, when he is undefeated. Prudius is a monster and with Jim Cornette giving him guidance, that almost makes him impossible to beat", challenges Lawler.

(Music hits as Scott Steiner appears with his tag team partner Oleg Prudius and his manager Jim Cornette. Prudius holds the NWA United States Championship up for everybody to see as the crowd boos the trio. Steiner mouths Morgan from across the ring as the match gets ready to start)

Match One Matt Morgan/Ken Anderson VS Scott Steiner/Oleg Prudius

Closing Moments....The match has been filled with power moves as Morgan, Steiner, and Prudius has eached showed off their strength. Morgan has just hit a vicious chokeslam on Steiner as he tags in Anderson who climbs to the top for the Kenton Bomb. As Anderson plays for the crowd, Cornette comes up from behind and shoves Anderson off the top as he is about ready to jump. Anderson crashes to the match, after Prudius gives Morgan a battering ram headbutt, Steiner locks in the Steiner Recliner on Anderson as he forced to submit.

Winners-Scott Steiner and Oleg Prudius

"That damn Jim Cornette, why did he have to get involved. This was a fine matchup of four great wrestlers and he just ruins it," JR is beside himself.

"I told you that Jim Cornette is a major contributor to US Champ and he showed you why right there, Cornette will lay it all on the line for his wrestlers, that's what has made him one of the best managers ever, JR." King tries to explain.

"We got to go to the back where our new backstage reporter,Torrie Wilson has something for us," JR states like it the biggest news ever.

(We go backstage as we the always beautiful, Torrie Wilson standing outside Sting's lockeroom. She knocks on the door and enters as we Sting there sitting on the couch talking to Sharmell)

"Ah, Sting you asked for this time? Am I interrupting?" asks a curious Torrie.

"No,no it's fine", says Sting as he stands up,"I just want to say something to Booker T man to man." Sting's face is without make up and looks concerned as he talks. "Book, I don't know what is wrong with you. I have known you and Sharmell for about what 10 years, I helped introduce the two of you back in the day and know you accuse of us of having an affair." Sting is truly emotional as he tires to go on. "Then you don't believe it when we tell you nothing is going on and put Sharmell on the line in a match. I get forced into the matchup by the new "mystery" owner and defeat you at "Final Resolution" so now I have Sharmell as my manager. I don't want that and either does she. Look at her, Book! (The camera shows Sharmell on the couch crying). She has been trying to get a hold of you since Sunday after the match and hasn't been able to find to talk to you, Hell, nobody has seen you since Sunday." Sting is now getting overcome by emotion as he worried himself about Booker."Booker, I ask you not as a wrestler but as your friend, pull yourself together and come talk to us and put this ugly situation behind us."

Sharmell stands up hysterically and looks at Torrie with tears running down her face, "Booker, wherever you are, I love you, I have always loved you, come and talk to me please."

(A distraught Sharmell collapses back onto the couch as Sting sits down in the chair looking totally confused about the situation. Torrie backs out of the room and shuts the door)

COMMERCIAL BREAK

(When we come back we see a replay of Sharmell's emotional request to her husband Booker T)

"What a emotional situation we have there," a concerned JR states.

"It's always difficult when this business gets too personal," adds Lawler, "Hopefully, Booker T can get here tonight and finally work this thing out with Sting and his wife."

"You're right King. Whatever insecurities Booker has, need to be laid to rest as this situation has spinned out of control." JR is interrupted as the music hits for the next matchup.

(The music of the NWA Tag Team Champions, "The Beautiful People" plays as the group appears on the ramp. Johnny Superstar, Frankie Hollywood, Angelina Love and Velvet Sky look as confident as ever as they walk to ringside. After mocking the crowd on their way down, they do their trademark pose in the ring as two wrestlers hold up the titles as the girls pose in front of them and kiss each other. The crowd cheers the kiss as Love and Sky exit the ring leaving the champs ready to defend their title here tonight)

"There they are the tag teams champs, arguably the two most hated men on "Impact", shouts Ross.

'I don't know if they more hated for being the champs or having Angelina Love and Velvet Sky as their girlfriend." drools Lawler." Ohhhh my look at that JR," he pants as they walk past the annoucer's table.

(Music hits as the Dudley's music hits the arena. The crowd goes wild as Brother Ray and Brother D-Von make their way to the ring carrying down a table with them. When they get down to ringside they point at Superstar and Hollywood and motion it is their time to go through the table here tonight)

"What a matchup we have here tonight, as the titles are on the line as the legendary Dudleys are trying to become the champions for a 4th time here in the NWA" shouts Ross.

"For some reason though, JR, the Beautiful People have had the Dudley's number after winning the titles from them over a year ago, "rebuts Lawler.

Match Two...NWA World Tag Team Title Match..Beautiful People VS The Dudleys

Closing Moments....The Dudleys has controlled the matchup since the opening bell as Frankie is on the outside leaving Johnny in the ring by himself as D-Von goes to get the table. The referee finds with the Dudleys as they to set up. This gives time for Hollywood to recover on the outside and he returns taking Brother Ray over the top rope with a body splash as they both spill to the outside. Brother D-Von then turns around as Superstar waits and hits the "Moonlight Drive" for the three count. The champs celebrate their victory as an upset Dudley teams leaves the ring once again without the titles.

Winners..The Beautiful People

"The Dudleys were so close King over regaining the titles for a 4th time but the champs pull it out in the end," says a disappointed JR.

"That is what you have to do when you are the champs, and that is why "The Beautiful People" has been champs for over a year JR." smartassly puts Lawler.

"We have news from back. lets go back there as see whats going on" proclaims JR.

(We go to the back as we a limo pull up and Booker T get out. Booker looks like hell as Torrie Wilson tries to get a word with him but Booker shrugs her off. As Booker gets his bags from the trunk, he asks a stage hand where Sting's dressing room is. With the info now Booker storms off into the arena where he is met by the World Champion Edge who is still on his "Gauntlet" quest. Before Edge can get any words out he is met by a right hand by Booker sending him to the floor. Booker then looks down at Edge and walks away without saying a word. The camera zooms in on a stunned Edge as he holds his nose as Booker storms off to find Sting and Sharmell)

COMMERCIAL BREAK

"The world champ is just not having a good night, King. 2009 isn't starting off the way he wanted as he has found himself in a "Gauntlet" match for "Slammiversary in 3 weeks and now assaulted by an angry Booker T" JR says laughing to himself.

"If I was Edge, I would just leave tonight before anything else happens.' adds Lawler.

(The two are interrupted as Kurt Angle's music is heard, erupting the crowd into a frenzy. A proud Angle appears on the ramp looking pleased after his savage beatdown of Antonio Banks in their "Final Resolution" matchup. Angle looks like he is ready to put the Banks saga behind him as he prepares for tonight's matchup)

"Kurt Angle looks ready and focused tonight as he has finally dealt with Antonio Banks for good at "Final Resolution." informs JR.

"I've been in the business going on 40 years JR and I have never seen someone be more savage then Angle was in the steel cage with Banks last Sunday. I know Banks got under the nerves of the Olympic Champ but I think Angle took a little too far." King sounding disappointed in Angle.

"We have reports that Banks is still in the hospital as the results of the injuries of last Sunday and hopefully he will be able to be with us next week on "Impact". Ross says, sounding concerned.

(Music hits as Finlay comes down the ramp with a chorus of boos from the crowd)

"I know Finlay is one of the toughest superstars in the NWA but I don't know if he should be eager to get in the ring with Angle tonight JR." warns the King.

"You couldn't tell Finlay that, King. Finlay has never backed down from a fight in his life and won't back down from Angle here tonight." JR says with regret.

Match Three....Kurt Angle VS Finlay

Closing Moments...The matchup is dominated by Angle from the opening as he finally Angle Slams Finlay and makes the Irishman tapout to the Ankle Lock in a few minutes. Angle then grabs the mic after the match as Finlay limps away with help from paramedics at ringside.

Winner...Kurt Angle

"The real Kurt Angle is Back!!" shouts Angle to the delight of the crowd, " Now that I have finally rid myself of that loudmouth Antonio Banks, I can focus on one thing and one thing only and that is regaining the NWA World Championship." The crowd goes wild as Angle grins. " I know the World Champ, Edge is searching the back, looking for who are the opponents for his match at "Slammiversary" and you don't have to look for one because I got my message earlier this evening and I'm joining Jeff Jarrett and Christian in the match." Angle's smile is gone as the roof of the "Impact Zone" is ready to come of as the crowd goes wild with every word coming out of Angle's mouth."I just want to tell Edge, Christian, Jarrett and whoever else is in this match, that Kurt Angle is walking out of "Slammiversary" as the NWA WORLD CHAMPION!!!." Angle slams the mic and goes back up the ramp as he high fives fans and the crowd goes wild. As Angle finally gets to the ramp the scene changes to the back.

(We go backstage quickly as we see Booker T, beating at the door of Sting. Sharmell answers and is still crying as Booker takes a step back and looks into her eyes. She tries to hug Booker but he shoves her to the side and walks in. The door closes as Book walks in)

COMMERCIAL BREAK

"I want to know what is going on in that locker room, King."questions JR," What is Booker T going to do tonight?"

"This has nothing to do with wrestling now, this is way to personal and I don't think we need to pry into their private matters."Lawler firmly states," This is pro wrestling not some talk show, we are hear to see people compete in the ring not to watch their lifes shattered for our enjoyment."

"I'm sorry, I struck a nerve with you, King, but wait," JR pauses as he holds on to ear piece, now listening to someone, " I have just gotten word that are main event tonight will be "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage and "Double J" Jeff Jarrett. Two men that will be involved for the NWA World Title at "Slammiversary" will hook up here first tonight."

"This should be good news to the champ, Edge as now two of his challengers will compete tonight against each other before "Slammiversary". Lawler reasons.

(Music hits as James Mitchell and his crew of Matt Bloom and Vampiro make the way down to the ring. The crowd boos heavily the freaky trio as they climb to the ring and Mitchell grabs a mic)

"For five years, I have dealt with one man and that man is "The Monster" Abyss. I brought him here to the NWA only to be betrayed by him. That is the thanks I get from him." screams Mitchell. "So I recruit one man, (He pats Bloom on the shoulder) that can remedy the problem. (Bloom stands proudly as Mitchell sings his praises). "This is the one man, that can destroy you Abyss and deep down in your tortured soul you know this. You are afraid of this man. This man will not disappoint me the way you did Abyss. (Mitchell pauses and then swings around and looks at Vamprio). Or the way you have disappointed me. Vampiro.!!"

(Vampiro looks stunned at the sudden attack by Mitchell's words)

"Vamprio, I have taken care of you just like I did with Abyss. You have promised me that you could take care of Abyss and you have failed me." Mitchell gets in the face of Vampiro who looks ashamed."What do you have to say for yourself?". Mitchell waits for an answer but one doesn't come as Vampiro just stares back blankly.

(Mitchell then quickly slaps Vampiro across the face. Mitchell starts to laugh at Vampiro as he rubs his own cheek and then quickly grabs Mitchell by his tie. Bloom quickly tries to intervene but it met by a double chop thrust into the mid-section stopping him in his tracks as Vampiro grabs Mitchell's can away from him striking Bloom over the head. Vampiro keeps up the attack with the cane on Bloom until Mitchell hits a low blow on Vampiro sending him to the mat. Bloom ,regains his senses, and starts to reign down right hands on Vampiro as Mitchell chokes him out with the cane. The crowd erupts as Abyss makes his way from the back, running down the ring to help his former partner.

As Abyss tries to enter the ring, you hear the gasp of the crowd as Abyss is suddenly attacked from behind. When Abyss hits the floor the camera shows the 400 pound "Samoan Bulldozer" Ekmo standing over him. Ekmo picks up a nearby chair and crashes it down over the head of "The Monster" Abyss sending him unconcious to the floor.

In the ring Mitchell is pleased as Abyss is taken out and orders Bloom to powerbomb Vampiro. Bloom finally fulfills his wishes and sends Vampiro crashing to the mat. Ekmo climbs into the ring and looks strangely at Mitchell who then pats the Samoan on the head. Ekmo looks controlled as Mitchell stands between the two giants as they each raise their hands to the boos of the crowd as the camera shows the decimated Vampiro and Abyss laid out in and outside the ring.

"What the hell is going on here!!"shouts JR. " Is Ekmo now aligned with that bastard, James Mitchell and Matt Bloom, King"

"It sure looks that way, and after the destruction those two just caused, this isn't good for anybody on the NWA roster. Who will stop these two monster." King says shockingly.

(We get a final shot of the three in the ring as Ross quickly sends us to the backstage area. A cameraman shows total chaos breaking lose as we now see Sting and Booker T brawling in the hallway)

Sting and Booker T is going at it as Sharmell is yelling desperately trying to get Booker T to stop. Finally security arrives to break up the two and pulls Booker T away. Sharmell pleads with Booker T as the security guards hold on to him by his arms. As Sharmell cries to Booker, he shockingly spits in her face. Sharmell wipes it off and goes to her knees crying. Booker calls Sting a "Dead Man" as security pulls him away. Sting looks emotionally crushed as he pulls Sharmell up from her knees and talks to her. She shoves Sting away and runs off down the hallway crying. Sting is left looking totally confused and upset over the whole situation.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

"I'm totally disappointed in Booker T's actions here tonight" scorns JR," Sting and Sharmell only wanted to end this situation that Booker T has spunned out of control by himself."

"Well JR, Booker T doesn't believe them. He thinks that Sting and Sharmell betrayed him. He thinks they are lying to him and he just wants to make each of them pay," responds Lawler.

(Music hits as "The Hooligans" Paul Burchill and Nigel McGuiness come down for the next match up. Burchill is dressed to compete as McGuinness is wearing his Manchester United soccer jersey as the crowd gives them a mixed reaction)

"Here is two of the toughest men in the NWA today, King. They love their soccer and they love to fight and are somehow winning over the fans despite their actions", JR says puzzled.

"I think JR, they do what they say and people are starting to respect that as we can tell by the reaction this team now gets from the crowd," Lawler reasons.

(Music hits as we see the new team of James Storm and Robert Roode called "Beer Money" hit the ramp as the crowd boos the duo as the make their way to the ring. Storm is dressed to compete as Roode is wearing a tailor made suit giving advice to his new teammate)

Match Four.....James Storm VS Paul Burchill

Closing Moments...A back and forth match has seen interfence from both side from the partners outside of the ring. Burchill in control sets up Storm for the C-4 but Storm blocks the attempt with a elbows then a jaw-breaking superkick out of nowhere. Storm gets the three count to the shock of the crowd. A visibly upset McGuinness is upset as he pulls Burchill out of the ring and stares intensely at the two celebrating in the ring. A rumbling in the crowd is heard as the cameraman shows Ted Dibiase Jr. on the entrance ramp. He claps his hands, staring down at "Beer Money" and walks to the back without saying a word.

Winner.....James Storm

"An impressive win for James Storm here tonight, as the new partnership with Robert Roode might be the right thing for both men," explains JR.

"I want to know what Ted Dibiase Jr. was doing out here was he just showing his admiration for the win or is there more between him and this new team of "Beer Money" that we don't know about yet, JR". Lawler wonders.

"If Dibiase is somehow involved with these two the sky is the limit for all 3 men as they are all extremely talented but haven't found their place here in the NWA yet."JR shares.

(We go backstage as we see Christian and Jarrett preparing for the main event next)

(Before we go to commercial we are showed a video of NWA superstar and current Triple Crown Champion, Sean O'Haire competing in Japan. They show his most recent victory over Suwama and O'Harie looking better then ever on his tour overseas)

COMMERCIAL BREAK

"Sean O'Haire is really making a name for himself, competing around the world." Ross says sounding impressed, "I can only hope though that he will soon be making his way back to the U.S. and the NWA."

"O'Haire is a tremondous talent JR that's for sure," Lawler agrees." Nobody here on the roster better forget about him while he's gone."

(Music hits as Christian Cage's music hits as "The Instant Classic" appears with a good reaction from the crowd)

" Christian is finally back in the main event scene after months of waiting," Ross announces.

"I think Christian's much publicized contract status here with NWA is the main reason of him not being in the championship scene," Lawler rationalizes.

"Hopefully him and our new "mystery" owner can get something worked out soon but as of right now Cage got his shot coming at "Slammiversary" and he needs to make the most of it," Ross explains.

(Music hits as Jeff Jarrett appears to the the second loudest cheers of the night behind Angle's reception)

"There is no way Jarrett is 100 percent after his ladder match against Edge last Sunday." JR's point is shown as the Jarrett has a considerable limp from getting knocked off the top of the ladder.

"Jarrett is a great competitior, JR, we go back to my Memphis days and I can tell you one thing Jeff is out here to send a message to Edge, Christian and even Kurt Angle that Jeff Jarrett is someone to be reckon with in that "Gauntlet Match" at Slammiversary." explains Lawler

Main Event--Jeff Jarrett VS Christian Cage

Closing Moments...A very good main event has come down to Jarrett attempting the "Stroke" only to see Cage block it and attempt the "Unprettier" only to see Jarrett show his veteran status and counter it into a backslide to shock Cage with the victory.

Winner...Jeff Jarrett

Before Jarrett can even celebrate the victory, he turns around and catches a "Spear" from the World Champion, Edge who sneaked into the ring. Edge stalks Christian and delivers a second "Spear" to his former friend. As both men are down, Edge goes outside and gathers two chairs. He quickly hits Jarrett over his head as Jarrett started to stir and then walks over to Christian delivering a shot to Cage's body. He yells at Christian, asking Christian if he remembered this as he set up the Cage for the "Conchairto". The psycho look is stretched out on the face of Edge as he gears himself to take out his former friend. Edge is stopped as the crowd goes wild and he sees Kurt Angle sprinting toward the ring. Edge quickly exits the ring on the far side and jumps into the crowd. Angle checks on the condition of Jarrett and Cage as Edge stares at the ring laughing. Angle yells at Edge to come fight as Edge looks pleased and leaves through the crowd. The picture of Angle checking on both Cage and Jarrett is the last one we see as "Impact" ends.

Styles:(taunting the crowd) Thank you, I'm glad you see the light and that AJ Styles is the ONLY rightful man to challenge Jeff Hardy..THANK YOU, MICK, IT TAKES A BIG MAN TO ADMIT HE IS WRONG!! (the last insult of AJ is a jab to Foley as you can tell Foley didn't like it by the look on his face)

(Styles plays to the crowd as he is overjoyed with the news as he returns to the backstage but Foley isn't done with him yet)

Foley:"WAIT A MINUTE, AJ!(Styles looks perplexed as he stops and turns around) I think you have gotten the wrong idea on what I said to you!!(The crowd goes wild as Foley laughs)"I said you deserve a shot at the title and that is what I mean! (Styles is throwing another tantrum as the crowd laughs at his antics)

Styles:So I'm not in the Main Event at "Slammiversary", I don't understand what you are saying Mick?

(The camera goes back as we Jeremy Borash and the champ, Jeff Hardy as the crowd welcome him with a friendly roar)

Borash:"We just heard the match made for "Slammiversary" concerning your championshiop. Jeff. You will be facing 5 other men in a "Survival of the Fittest" match. What is your thoughts on the decision by Mick Foley."

Jeff:: I don't really care what the kind of match it is, JB, or who is in it. (Hardy is rubbing is beard as the a look of intensity comes over his face). I have waited my whole career for this time. I have sacrificed my body, my soul to become X-Division World Champion. (The crowd goes wild as Hardy gets more intense). Foley can put me against the whole "Xplosion" roster and in any kind of match he wants, I don't care.(Crowd cheers louder). All I know is that Jeff Hardy is will do anything to remain champion and everybody else in qualfying matches tonight better look into themselves and find out if they are willing to do anything to take it away from me because that is what its gonna take to win!

(Jeff holds up the title as the camera zooms in and then he storms off leaving Borash with a shocked look on his face as he sends it back to Tenay and Foley at ringside)

Tenay:(sounding impressed): Some strong words from the champion, Jeff Hardy and a warning to everybody that wants the title.

Foley: Jeff Hardy is a great champion, Mike and great champions need to be tested. There is no doubt in my mind, Jeff will do anything to stay champion and that is why I made this match for "Slammiversary", I wanted something historic and Jeff can deliver that."

(Music plays as "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels appears to the crowd and is met by boos. He comes to the ring, ready for action. As he hears the ring announcement, he seems stunned as it's not announced as a qualifying match and questions Foley at ringside. Foley tells him to get into the ring but Daniels doesn't seem pleased by the turn of events)

(Music hits as Carlito Colon appears to the roar of the crowd as he high fives fans on his way to ringside, he doesn't seem bothered by the match and looks ready for Daniels)

Match One

Christopher Daniels VS Carlito Colon

(Recap)

The match saw a distracted Daniels at the beginning as he still was trying to grasp Foley's decision of him not being in a qualifying match as Carlito gained early control. "The Pride of Puerto Rico" dominated the first minutes of the match as he finally disposed of Daniels with a clothsline to the outside. Carlito though showed one of his weaknesses as he played to the crowd and took his focus off of Daniels as "The Fallen Angel" caught Carlito by his afro and snapped his neck over the top rope as he returned to the ring. Daniels took control of the match working on Carlito's neck as he shouted at Foley the whole time as he did. After a brief comeback from Carlito, Daniels caught him with a kick and "Angle Wings" out of nowhere. As Carlito lied helpless in the ring, Daniels didn't go for the pin but instead went to the top rope to deliver more punishment and to make a statement after being slighted by Foley. He came off the top rope with a "Shooting Star" attempt only to find Carlito moved away as he crashed to the mat. Carlito calmly waited for Daniels to rise and delivered the "Backstabber" for the victory. A happy Carlito left the ring as a rejected Daniels gets a "Thumbs Up" sign and a smile from Mick Foley. Daniels didn't seemed pleased by the Commissioner's antics as he leaves the ring holding his back in a huff.

Winner: Carlito

Tenay:(excited for Carlito) What a big win for Carlito over a former X-Division Champion here tonight. I know his father, Carlos has been helping Carlito with his issues and he seems to be on the right track after that gutsy performance but Mick, "The Fallen Angel" didn't seem too happy with you."

Foley:Well, Tenay, Daniels will just have to get over it. I can't help make everybody happy and I didn't think Daniels deserved a shot at the X-Division title. And in my defense he proved me right by losing to Carlito here tonight, didn't he?. I'm glad to see Carlito on the right track too, his father, Carlos is one of the toughest men ever in wrestling history and if he can get some of that rubbed off on his son, Carlito could become somethig very special here in the NWA."

Tenay:Let's go back to JB, who now has the X-Division Tag Team Champions, The Latin American Xchange, take it away JB."

(We go back stage to Jeremy Borash who is with Homicide, Hernandez and Salinas backstage)

Borash:"I'm here with the tag team champions, Homicide and Hernandez and the lovely, Salinas." (Borash looks at the huge breasts of Salinas and stops talking. Homicide realizes what Borash is looking at and gives him a quick, light slap to the cheek to refocus Jeremy)"Sorry about, lost my train of thought..(The crowd laughs as Homicide shakes his head and Salinas adjusts his shirt) You guys requested this air time and I've been wondering why."

Homicide:Let's get one thing straight, Borash, we didn't request anything, we told them we wanted this time and they gave it to us because they know better than not too. (Homicide then grabs the mic from Borash as Hernandez then shoves Borash away. Borash leaves the area instead of staying for a possible beatdown). We don't need him for this...for all you at home who don't know who we are, WE ARE LAX, THE GREATEST TAG TEAM IN THE WORLD TODAY!!!(The Latino crowd at the "Impact Zone" cheers as the others boos the heels). Everbody know this fact except a couple of people...(He pauses to dramatize the moment). I was watching "Impact" last week and noticed this team, the NWA World Tag Team Champions, "The Beautiful People" and they think they are the best team today. Although they have held their titles for over a year and a half now, they haven't faced the level of competition that me and Hernandez has had to face. (He slaps Hernandez on the shoulder as the big man remains silent). So I want to challenge "The Beautiful People" to a match at "Slammiversary"...NWA World Tag Team Champion against X-Division Tag Team Champions..to see who is really the best team in the NWA. (Hernandez shakes his head in approval as Salinas adjusts her breasts again from falling out). And "Beautiful People" we are coming to "Impact" this week for your answers..FACE TO FACE!!"

(The whole crowd this time goes wild as the first time ever "Impact" and "Xplosion" has the possiblity of having wrestlers face each other. LAX pulls back the bandanas over their faces and flashes the LAX sign as we go to commercial)

---COMMERCIAL BREAK

( We come back as see footage of Bryan Daneilson and The Motor City Machine Guns peforming in one of the NWA foreign promotions..NOAH in Japan. The highlight shows matches between KENTA, Takeshi Morishima and others. It then goes to Chavo Guerrero Jr. performing in the NWA Mexico promotion CMLL as he takes on Mistico, Ultimo Guerrero and others.)

Tenay: That highlight of "Xplosion' stars competing all over the world shows why the NWA is the number one promotion. We aren't just here in the United States, we are truly a world wide promotion. We will wrestler the best in the world anywhere and everywhere."

Foley:"And that now seems to include "Impact" after the challenge of our tag team champs, "LAX", to the NWA World Tag Team Champions, "The Beautiful People" and as Commissioner, I'm going to do everything in my power to make that match possible because I think that is what the fans want to see:" (The crowd goes wild as Foley does another play for their approval)

(Music plays as Rob Van Dam appears on the stage to the boos of the fan. RVD hasn't been the joyable figure he was before his retirement as he came back with a new attittude and more vicious style. He makes his way as the ring announcer informs the crowd that this is the first qualifying match for "Slammiversary". RVD stands in the ring and waits for his opponent.)

(The crowd erupts of the surprise as the music of "The Human Highlights" plays and one-third of the team, Matt Sydal appears on the ramp. Mostly a tag-team wrestler so far in his NWA career, Sydal now has a shocking chance of becoming X-Division Champion)

Match Two

Rob Van Dam VS Matt Sydal

(Recap)

Some people have questioned if Sydal has what it takes to compete without his parnters Brian Kendrick and Jack Evans and he put them to rest after his performance tonight. At the beginning, RVD seemed confused by Sydal's style as Sydal was one move ahead of the veteran in their opening exchanges. RVD continued to struggle as he faced something that he doesn't usually see and that is someone quicker then him. The crowd went wild as Syday used the ropes to hurricarana RVD out of the ring and wilder when Sydal ran and catapulted over the top, sacrificing his body, taking RVD and himself down to the concrete floor. RVD though showed his new attitude ways as he shoved the referee into Sydal to stop the youngsters momentum and took advantage with a spinning kick over the bent over referee. From there RVD took over, as he started to work over Sydal's knee in an attempt to slow him down. After minutes of working over the knee, RVD got caught by a drop toe hole, and getting his face slammed into the bottom turnbuckle. As Sydal tried to follow it up with a baseball slide to the back of Van Dam' s head, RVD moved out of the way having Sydal's knee running right into the steel ringpost. After a couple of "Dragonwhips" Sydal was really feeling the pain in his knee as RVD gloated to the crowd. A wounded Sydal tried one last ditch attemp for the win with an enzuiguri kick but RVD ducked and the ref caught the blow to his face, knocking him out. As Sydal checked on the ref, RVD delivered a low blow and the a thunderous DDT. As the referee laid there, RVD showed his hardcore roots and retrieved a steel chair for the outside. He climbed the top rope and used the steel chair for extra impact as he delivered the "5 Star Frog Splash". Holding his ribs, RVD kicked the steel chair out of the ring and the referee stirred and made the cover for the three count.

Winner-Rob Van Dam

RVD cheered his victory with his famous R-V-D taunt as the crowd boos him as Sydal is checked on by paramedics and helped out of the ring

Tenay:(truly disgusted by RVD)"That was borderline criminal what just happened, Mick. This new RVD that has returned isn't the same man fans used to cheer for. He stole this victory away from Matt Sydal with that steel chair and you as the Commissioner should step in and rectify the situation."

Foley: (calmly explaining)"I don't agree with the tactics used by Rob Van Dam but I can't reverse a referee's ruling. He didn't see the illegal use of the chair and that is just the way pro wrestling is for better or worse, Mike. It isn't cheating if you don't get caught."

Tenay:(not pleased by Mick's explanation)"It just seems that Matt Sydal deserves better than being helped out by paramedics after his effort here tonight. It just seems wrong. (Tenay stops as his face changes as he grabs his headset to listen more carefully) We are going to go to the back, where some sort of brawl has broken out."

(We go to the back as we see "Cult" members and the members of "The Lethal Combination" brawling as security tries to break the men up. We get a shot of Jay Lethal pounding away on "The Sickness" Shannon Moore before "Cult" leader Raven knocks off Lethal with a shot from a kendo stick. Raven is soon taken down as Cousin Elijah comes in with a flying knee knocking Raven into a nearby trash dumpster sending Raven to the floor. The camera then shifts as we Low Ki standing before he gets taken out by by a flying Human Tornado, who just leapt off the same trash dumpster Raven just got ran into. As Tornado falls to the concrete after hitting Low Ki he is quickly jumped on by The Age of the Fall, Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black. The two commence a beatdown of The Human Tornado until finally security pulls him off as the camera zooms in and sees that Tornado's face is now a bloody mess as a result of the attack. "The Cult" members are laughing as security seperates the two factions and the damage done to Lethal and Tornado is evident on camera. "The Cult" goes to leave the arena at security's urging but as they open the door to leave, Jimmy Jacobs comes falling back screaming in pain. Quickly Cousin Creed walks through the door with a baseball bat in hand and starts swinging at Cult members wildly. "The Cult" members scatter through the back halls as security tackles the crazed Creed. Finally order is established as the Lethal Family checks on the condition of Jay and Tornado. We go back to the ring)

Tenay:(sounding worried)"The situation between "The Lethal Family" and "The Cult" is getting out of control. What was once a simple feud has now grown into complete hatred between the two groups. Somebody better get control of this problem before someone is seriously injured."

Foley:"I hold myself responsible for this situation as I gave Jay Lethal the contracts to bring his family members into help him against Raven and his crew and I"m going to do something about it right now. As the Commissioner, I'm making a match for "Slammiversary", a steel cage match between "The Cult" and "The Lethal Family." Hopefully, locking them in a steel cage will let them settle this once and for all."

---COMMERCIAL BREAK----

(We come back from commercial and we are in the medical room as doctors check on the ribs of Matt Sydal after the steel chair "Frog Splash from RVD. The doctors are checking to see if any our broken as Sydal's partner Jack Evans walks in. He comes up and mumbles something to Sydal as the microphones in the back can't pick up. Sydal shakes his head and he looks displeased as Evans shrugs his shoulders and stays their with his partner as the doctors continue the check-up. But the third member of "The Human Highlights" Brian Kendrick is absent and one can only guess the reason why is what is bothering Sydal more than this ribs. We go back to the ring)

Tenay:"It's good to see that isn't nothing seriously wrong with Matt Sydal after his match versus the "new" Rob Van Dam tonight."

Foley:: "But the question that I have is where was his good friend and partner, Brian Kendrick, I saw him backstage before the beginning of the show tonight, so I know he is here. Why isn't he there to check on his parnter for the last 4 years, Matt Sydal. That seemed to bug Sydal more then what RVD did to him."

(The arena goes wild as Jericho's symbol hits the entrance screen and the second qualifying match of the evening is announced and Jericho appears to the roar of the crowd. The cocky smile of Jericho is displayed as he struts to the ring and plays it up as the crowd approves. The crowd's demeanor changes quickly as Gregory "Hurrican" Helms music hits and it's revealed that he is Jericho's opponent here tonight. Helms appears on the ramp alongside his manager "Lucious" Larry Sweeney and they make their way to ringside. As Helms gets into the ring, Jericho and Sweeney exchange words between each other before the match starts)

Match Three

Chris Jericho VS Gregory Helms

(Recap)

Helms looks determined as his career so far in the NWA hasn't worked out to his liking. His hiring of Larry Sweeney as his manager hasn't worked out yet and this is his chance finally for the X-Division Championship. Larry Sweeney quickly pays dividends in this match up as he and Jericho is still exchaging words as Helms surprises Jericho with an attack before the bell. Helms dominates the early stages of the match, resorting to any trick in the book to injure Jericho. Sweeney is on the same page as one time he choked Jericho over the bottom rope as the referee argued with Helms over not giving a clean break after choking Jericho himself. Jericho finally gets into the match as Helms tosses him into the ropes only to catch an elbow from Jericho instead. Jericho goes on a roll before finally clothslining Helms over the top to the outside and giving Sweeney a right hand also after he pops up on the apron. The crowd goes wild as Helms tries to regroup on the outside. Jericho stays on the offensive after Helms returns until he tried to finish off Helms with a "Lionsault" attempt only to catch the knees of Helms to his stomach instead. Helms goes for a quick pin attempt but Jericho kicks out in the nick of time. Helms goes on the offensive again as he punishes the now injured back of Jericho. Things are going in Helms favor as he whips Jericho into the ropes and goes for a hurricarana attempt. The attempt is foiled as Jericho holds onto the ropes stopping Helms from flipping him over. Jericho uses the ropes to balance himself and walks to middle of the ring with Helms helplessly attached. Jericho finally frees Helms' legs from around his neck and completes the reversal to "The Lion Tamer". Helms screams in pain and reaches for the ropes as Sweeney tries to grab his hands. The two's plan almost works as they interlock their hands but the ref sees and kicks loose their grip. Jericho then pulls Helms back to the middle where Gregory has no other option but to count out.

Winner-Chris Jericho

Jericho plays to the cheering crowd as he motions to them that the title is coming back to fit around his waist. Helms is helped back to the lockeroom by his manager, Larry Sweeney as he is still feeling the effects of "The Lion Tamer".

Tenay: (excited for the 50th time tonight) What a match and what a victory for Chris Jericho. We now have two of the five opponents for Jeff Hardy at "Slammiversary as Chris Jericho will join Rob Van Dam in the main event"

Foley:"I told you this show is going to be historic and we have seen two truly great matches already for the chance to go to "Slammiversary", Can you just imagine what will happen when the title is actually on the line?"

(A recap of "Imapct" is shown as we the see the annoucement of the World Title Gauntlet Match and then Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle and Christian Cage stating that they are some of the challengers to Edge's World Title. We then see footage of the wild brawl between ex-friends Booker T and Sting over the realtionship Sting has with Booker's now estranged wife, Sharmell. The video ends with the attack from Edge on Christian Cage and Jeff Jarrett after their one on one main event matchup as he proved a point to two of his challengers.

Tenay:"What an interesting turn of events on "Impact" as Edge is looking over his shoulders not knowing who his challengers will be for the Gauntlet Match. Actually I heard rumors that their might be a couple of challengers that reside here on our brand of "Xplosion".

Foley:(bothered by that possibilty)"I've heard those rumors too Tenay but I don't have any information about that. The Edge situation is something that our new "Mystery" NWA owner is concerning himself with and that is above my rank here as Commissioner on "Xplosion". Whatever comes straight from the NWA front office, I don't know about it before anybody else."

(Music hits as CM Punk returns to the "Impact Zone" as it is announced that he is one of the competitors in the next qualifier. Punk is a surprise as he hasn't been active after suffering an injury in a NWA Television match against then champion, Kofi Kingston, 4 months ago. Punk, though, looks in great shape and shows no effect of the knee injury that put him out as he runs to ringside, greeting fans along the way. The fans go wild as Kofi's music plays, then go wilder as they remember that Kofi is the man that put Punk out of action, Kofi runs to the ring with cheers from the crowd and climbs into the ring as they stare each other down. Punk showing no ill feelings offer him a handshake that Kofi returns. The two shakes hands as the crowd shows their approval at the sign of no hard feelings between the two)

Match Four-CM Punk VS Kofi Kingston

(Recap)

The two circle each other at the beginning and find themselves both attempting the same kicks and punches at the same time. A display of chain wrestling, martial arts and highflying manuevers gets the crowd going but finds themselve back where they started which it at a standoff. Punk finally shows a little bit of frustration as he grabbed Kofi by the dreads and pulled him down to the mat, following up with a jumping knee to Kingston's forehead. Punk then gained control of the matchup by showing his better mat skills and kept Kofi on the mat instead of in the air as he tried to grind Kofi down. The crowd find themselves at a loss during the match unable to figure out who to root for between the two crowd favorites as Kofi struggles to get loose out of a Punk headlock. Finallly Kofi gets enough strength to pick up Punk to straddle him over the top rope breaking the move. He then quickly kicked Punk in the face sending him to the outside. While on the outside, Punk struggled to his feet only to catch a baseball slide to the mouth as Kofi slid under the top rope connecting. We go to commerical and when we come back Punk is shown with a busted lip and bleeding badly as he barely made the count to return to the ring. Kofi showing his new more serious "Warrior" attitude doesn't let up now that Punk is hurt and continued the attack of his frenzied style before finally missing a kick and catching a desperation one from Punk to the back of the head. Punk then with the crowd behind him, hits a serious of moves finishing with a running bulldog from the corner and then signaled for the "GTS". He scoops up a wobbly Kofi on his back but before he can deliver it Kofi wiggles free and Punk turns around only to catch the "Trouble in Paradise" kick. Kofi makes the cover and gets the win as he seems to have Punk's number.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Punk is aggravated at coming up short and looks up on his knees to Kofi who is celebrating in the ring. After Punk rises to his feet, Kofi this time offers his hand in respect to Punk. Punk at first rejects the gesture, still upset about what just happened but after the disapproval by the crowd he turns around and shakes Kofi's hand finally. He then raises Kofi's arm up in victory before leaving the ring to Kofi for his well-deserved celebration.

Tenay:Kofi survived that match, Mick. Punk was seconds away from victory and going to "Slammiversary" but Kofi pulled off what I consider an upset here tonight."

Foley:"I don't know how you consider that an upset, Kofi has the longest undefeated streak in NWA history, a long NWA Television Title reign and a couple of victories alreay over Punk to his credit. Kofi is the real deal and other wrestlers better take notice, that means you Jeff Hardy or at "Slammiversary" Kofi might be walking out champion."

(We go backstage as we see the messenger from last week's "Impact" episode in the back at "Xplosion". He walks up to a lockeroom door and knocks and finally someone appears and answers. AJ Styles takes the letter from the messenger and as the cameraman zooms in on the enevelope we see it is the same type that was delivered to Christian Cage on "Impact". Styles looks at it with a smile on his face, when a voice from within in the room tells him to shut it. Styles looks at the cameraman and realizes that he has been standing there the whole time. A look of panic comes across his face as he quickly shuts the door before we are able to discover who is in the room with him. The cameraman then turns around to see a scary looking, Samoa Joe as he is dressed for competition, storm past him and to the entrance way to the ring)

(The music of Samoa Joe hits and he is announced for the next match to qualify. The boos of the crowd shows no effect to Joe's demeanor as his one goal the last year has been to become X-Division Champion only to be turned away from Jeff Hardy so far. This could be Joe's last chance and he knows it. The crowd then erupts as music hits and the champ's brother Matt appears for his chance to face his own brother. Matt also looks determined as he knows from watching Jeff and Joe's past matches what kind of threat Samoa Joe is.)

Match Five-Samoa Joe VS Matt Hardy

(Recap)

Samoa Joe wastes now time and quickly attacked Hardy with a knee shot to the midsection. Joe then stayed on the offensive bending the rules at each chance he got. He choked, raked, gouged and even bit Hardy as he took any advantage and any body part that was avaible. The crowd went wild in the middle of the match as the X-Division Champion, Jeff Hardy, himself came to ringside to show support for his brother. Matt seeing his brother, lit a fire in himself as he made a comeback against Joe. Matt seemed to be on a mission as the blows from Joe didn't hurt now as he just kept coming at Joe with everything he had. Matt pulled out a "Twist of Fate" out of nowhere only to see Joe kick out at two and a half. Matt didn't seem discouraged in the least as he pulled out a "Whisper in the Wind" for another near fall. Matt was hitting Joe with everything in his arsenal but although Joe was dazed he was still able to kick out of every pin attempt. As Jeff looked on from the outside himself getting discouraged that his brother didn't have what it took to put Joe away for good, Matt went for another "Whisper in the Wind" but this time Joe caught him. Joe then showed off his power advantage over Matt as he contorted Hardy into the "Muscle Buster" position. As Matt was hooked in helpless, Joe signaled to Jeff on the outside and drove Matt to the mat and picked up the victory never taking his eyes off the champ.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Jeff had seen enough of Joe and flew into the ring in a frenzy. Joe attempted a clothsline attempt but Jeff ducked it and came back off the ropes with a flying forearm catching Joe and sending him over the top to the floor. Joe looked at Jeff and at first was going to go back in the ring but decided that he wanted no piece of the rested champion. Joe laughed and told Jeff he would see him at "Slammiversary" as Jeff tended to his older brother, Matt who was finally coming back to his senses after the "Musclebuster"

Tenay:"A tough loss for Matt Hardy and a serious statement by Samoa Joe that he means business going into "Slammiversary" as he took everything Matt had and still was the victor in the end."

Foley:
"You can over estimate the significant this match will have on the pysches of both Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe. Hardy has to be worried about that inability of his brother to put away Samoa Joe even though Jeff has put him away in past defenses, this was a whole different Samoa Joe we saw tonight.

---COMMERCIAL BREAK----

(We come back to the backstage area as they show AJ Styles warming up for the main event and Jeremy Borash comes in for a quick interview before the matchup)

JB:"AJ, tonight you have seen the four qualifers so far for the "Slammiversary" pay per view. What do you think your chances are if you beat Rey Mysterio here tonight."

Styles:(laughing at the question like it was the most stupid one ever asked to him " My chances? My chances are very good! Let's look you have Chris Jericho JB, Jericho is a couple years past his prime, there is no way he can compete with me! You have Kofi Kingston and who broke his unbeaten streak? Who? That's right AJ Styles did, so he is no problem for me. Samoa Joe and Rob Van Dam although they are ruthless each of them are dumber than a box of rocks. All I will have to do with them is bring a box of Dunkin donuts with me because RVD will have the munchies and Samoa Joe is just fat. (The crowd laughs even know they hate AJ) Then I come to Jeff Hardy, the luckiest champion ever. But I think at "Slammiversary" Hardy's luck will run out."

JB:"You know you still have to beat the NWA Television Champion, Rey Mysterio Jr. here tonight. Do you think you might be overlooking one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time."

Styles:"Don't you worry about me overlooking Rey Mysterio Jr. I got me an insurance policy tonight thanks to our new "Mystery" owner here in the NWA."

JB:"WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!!" (Borash yells but Styles is already gone leaving JB and everybody else wondering what he has in store for the TV Champ in a few moments)

(The crowd is buzzing as people are trying to think of who could have possibly been in the locker room of AJ Styles when Rey Mysterio music hits and the crowd goes wild. Rey comes shooting up from below as his pyros hit and he makes his way to the ring. He gives his mask to a young fan and climbs into the ring as AJ's music hits. Styles appears alone as the crowd gives him heat. He climbs into the ring and pulls off his hood and does his signature pose as the crowd starts the chants of "AJ Sucks" too the most hated man on "Xplosion")

Main Events AJ Styles VS Rey Mysterio Jr.

The two stars circle as Styles mocks Rey being even shorter then him to the boos of the crowd but to the delight of himself. Rey ends the mocking with swift kicks to AJ's thigh as he garners quick control. Rey then dominated the opening moments using his quickness advantage as he delivers a blitzkreig attack on Styles, keeping AJ off balance. After a whip into the corner, Rey goes for what looked like a monkey flip attempt only to find the turnbuckles instead as AJ moved out of the way. AJ quickly jumped at the opportunity, locking Rey's legs into "The Tree of Woe" after a wicked series of stomps to Rey's upperbody and face the refereee pulls AJ away but AJ returns with a devastating dropkick to the face of Rey and maliciously kicks him out of the ring. Rey's body falls in a heap to the outside as AJ orders the ref to start the countout. The crowd rallied behind Rey as he got up and was going to make it back to the ring but AJ saw that he will make it and joined him outside. A whip into the steel ring steps and then one into the barricade around the ring gave AJ hope that it would be enough as he rolled back into the ring and demanded the ref to start the count again. AJ played to the crowd assured that there was no way Rey would make it back but the TV Champion pulled himself back in at the nine count. AJ's face was in disbelief as he saw Mysterio still in the match and got caught in a roll attempt by Rey for a near fall. Styles was angrier then ever before as he took the match to the next level as he pounded away at Rey and set him up on the top rope for a "Superplex". Although everybody was ready for a comeback, Styles ended up hitting the move after a brief struggle. AJ signaled that the match was over but Rey kicked out and stayed alive at two and a half. AJ then went back to work and after a reverse whip by Rey hit the "Pele Kick" out of nowhere and signaled for the "Styles Clash". As he played it up for the crowd, Rey made a incredible counter and jumped up and pulled over Styles in a "Hurricarana". The crowd and AJ was in disbelief by the counter as Rey quickly staged the comeback. After a series of dropkicks and a crossbody splash for a near fall, Styles was in trouble and knew it. Rey caught Styles with a drop toe hold draping Styles over the bottom rope setting him up perfectly for the "619". Styles realizing this rolls out of the ring before Rey can make good on the opportunity. Styles says he is done and goes to walk up the ramp as the crowd boos. Rey doesn't know what to do as he don't want to win this way. The referee comes over to the ropes and yells at AJ to get back into the ring and then starts to count him out. AJ and the ref start to argue over the situation as AJ accuses the referee of being biased against him. The two continue to argue about the situation as Rey looks on and doesn't realize a hooded figure coming out of the crowd. The hooded figure slips into the ring and takes on a familiar stance waiting for Rey to turn around. Rey finally hearing the crowd turns around and catches a "RKO"!. The hooded figure slides back out of the ring and reveals himself to be "Impact" star Randy Orton!. AJ quickly ends his tantrum that was distracting the referee and slides in the ring and makes the cover. The referee is in total confusion as Rey is now knocked out but has no choice but to count to three as AJ commands him to do it.

Winner: AJ Styles

The crowd boos as Randy Orton returns to the ring and faces the victorious AJ Styles and shakes his hand. Styles then walks over to his jacket and pulls out the envelope given to him by the messenger earlier in the night. He hands to Orton as the deal now becomes clear. Styles and Orton had struck a deal as both now will be in the main events at "Slammiversary". The two pose in the ring as the crowd boos the two heels feverishly.

Tenay:What the hell is this? What is Randy Orton doing here on "Impact" in the first place?

Foley:"Well these two men made a deal to get to the main events, now let's see what they can do at "Slammiversary"!!!!"

(The show ends as the camera shows AJ Styles and Randy Orton in the ring celebrating their deal and their new chances of being champions at "Slammiversary"!)[/center]

Best Match: By the looks on it, I think the best match is definitely the main event. Good ending by seeing Orton RKO'd Rey to start an interpromotional feud. Slammiversary is turning into Wrestlemania 21 with this interpromo battles lol...

Worst Match: with those exciting matches, I think my least fave is the one between Joe and Hardy

Best Promo: Styles' promo are awesome but the one with LAX made something to start their feud with the Beautiful People. LOL! I still can't believe BP are champs for 1 and a half year. Other than that, Mike Tenay did the gold promos in this show LMAO.

Worst Promo: There's none imo

Additional Feedback: Sorry if I haven't catched up with your shows but this show is really good. Jeff Hardy is definitely facing a challenging match at Slammiversary. Some good build ups for the PPV man and I think that's I could only say for now.

Huge announcement with all those belts getting defended at the event. It sounds like something NWA would do and it adds to the magnitude of the event itself.

I didn't predict for the main event because tbh, while I strongly think Edge will lose the belt (you will built the fact that no championship changed hands during the event coming into the main event) I have no idea who could win it.

(The show opens as we see Randy Orton out in the parking lot, getting his bags out of his car trunk. After his surprise return on "Xplosion" where he secured a spot in "NWA World Title Gauntlet" at "Slammiversary, he looks cocky and confident as he arrives to "Impact". We here a voice in the background as NWA World Champion, Edge appears, running out with his own bags)

Edge:(patting Orton on the back)"Good to have you back, buddy. I have really needed some help these past few weeks. Tonight they have booked teaming with Christian against Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle. After hearing from Christian last week, it's nice to have someone here that I can't really count on.(Orton has no response as he is seemingly ignoring Edge who is oblivious to Orton's response.)

Edge: (stopping Orton) "It is unbelievable, that "Rated KO" will be making their return at "Slammiversary". Together we can eliminate the other challengers in the upcoming week and then it can be down to just you and me at "Slammiversary."(Orton shakes his head at Edge's propostion making Edge suddenly confused)

Edge:(now looking annoyed at Orton's reaction)"What Randy you don't like that proposal or are you just scared of the possibilty of facing me one on one, huh. Are you depening on say Kurt Angle taking me out before it's your turn to come to the ring. Do you want them to take me out of the way because deep down you know you can't me, "The Rated R-Superstar."(Edge is now seething as Orton and him are nose to nose)

Orton:(takes a step back and laughs at Edge) You don't have a clue on what is going on, do you? (Edge looks totally puzzled). The wrestlers announced so far for the "Gauntlet Match" is only half of it so far.You my friend, has really gotten on somebody's bad side."

Edge:"What the hell are you talking about?"

Orton:(reaching into his gym bag and pulls out a piece of paper and tosses into Edge's chest) "Read it yourself." (Orton laughs and walks off camera as Edge reads the paper)

Edge:(You can see the sickening on Edge's face as he reads the paper)"THIS CAN'T BE RIGHT, IT CAN'T BE!" (Edge is joined now by Torrie Wilson who has hustled out of the arena to get the scoop on what is going on)

Torrie:"What does it say, Edge?" (Edge shakes his head and is speechless as he drops the piece of paper and walks off, stunned. Torrie picks up the piece and reads it herself and tells the world what it says in amazement, "This is an invitation to all former NWA World Champions to participate in the NWA World Title Gauntlet Match at "Slammiversary. Please respond as soon as possible if you wish to compete at the event."

(The crowd inside the arena erupts with the news as Edge is truly facing odds like no other champion has faced ever before. We go to the arena as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler is standing by)

Ross:OH MY! King what a startling announcement to open this episode of "Imapct"here tonight. We just heard that any former NWA World Champion can compete for the title at "Slammiversary."(Ross is ecstastic as the crowd is still roaring)

Lawler:"This means every ex-champion, JR?"

Ross:"That is what I took from what Torrie Wilson said, any former NWA World Champion can compete in the gauntlet match at "Slammiversary" if they wish. We could see "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes or even Harley Race if they want, I imagine. This is unbelievalbe."

Lawler:"Whoever is our new "mystery" owner, they sure must have a serious problem with the World Champion, Edge as I have never seen a champion face such long odds as he will face come "Slammiversary."

Ross:(sounding disgusted by Lawler's comments)" I think is a good damn idea, King. As champion, Edge has taken every shortcut he could possibly take and at "Slammiversary" the best man will make it through the night as World Champion and instantly become a legend in the business after surviving that type of match."

(We get ready for our first match as the "Impact Zone" is still buzzing from the announcement of the NWA Title Match. The music of crowd favorite Rhino hits as the crowd gives him a louder than usual ovation due to them still being hyped up. Rhino is geared up as always as he charges down to the ring and awaits his opponent. The crowd boos loudly as the music of the NWA United States Champion, Oleg Prudius starts and himself and manager, Jim Cornette appears on the entrance ramp. Cornette berades fans at ringside as Prudius is usual unemotional self ready for the match up. Cornette shoves away the ring announcer and gives his own personal comments announcing Prudius to the match. The crowd boos as we wait for the match to start but suddenly more music plays as "Kamikaze" Ken Anderson appears on the ramp. Prudius and Cornette's attention is diverted as they see the former United States Champion make his way down to ringside. He points at the two as he walks over to the announcer's table and sits down by Lawler to provide special color commentary for the match)

Match One

Oleg Prudius VS Rhino

The two powerhouses stare each other down before Rhino attacks Prudius with a series of shoulder tackles but none budges the Russian. Finally Prudius responds with a clothsline sending Rhino to the match. Cornette screams his approval as he then exchanges comments with Anderson at ringside. The next few moments sees Prudius methodically taking apart Rhino with a series of sambo kicks and suplexes before finally locking Rhino into a powerful bear hug. Cornette laughs at Rhino and tells Anderson that could be him as Oleg yells and increases the pain inflicted to the back of the War Machine. The crowd tries to get behind Rhino as it looks like Rhino is starting to fade. Rhino reaches down and claps Oleg across both ears. This stuns the Russian as Rhino follows it up a few more times finally escaping the hold. He then scoops up Oleg and gives him a thunderous body slam as the crowd roars in approval. Rhino takes control as he hits a serious of impact moves with a series of clothslines, shoulder blocks before finally locking in a camel clutch manuever on the champ. Oleg looks in trouble as Cornette starts to worry on the outside. Oleg is struggling to get to the ropes as he moves Rhino towards them but stops a few inches short. Cornette shows his worth by pushing the bottom rope toward Oleg allowing him to get the rope for the break. Cornette turns to get taken out by a clothsline from Anderson who has seen enough of his antics. Prudius yells at Anderson after seeing what just happened to his manager taking his eye off Rhino. He turns around to see Rhino charging at him with a GORE but Oleg sidesteps it as Rhino hits the turnbuckles instead. Rhino staggers out of the corner only to catch a ramming headbutt by Prudius. Prudius picks up the win as Rhino can't kick out.

Winner

Oleg Prudius

Prudius rolls out of the ring and checks on Cornette who seems suprisingly pretty hurt by the clothsline. He picks up Cornette and slumps him over his shoulder as he scowls at Anderson at the ring side. He shouts something in Russian as Anderson mocks him back at the announcer's table. Prudius has the scowl on his face as we see him exit into the backstage area with the lifeless Cornette still on his shoulder.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

(We come back from break to Torrie Wilson backstage where she is with Sharmell. Sharmell seems pulled together after the past few weeks with the problems between her husband, Booker T, Sting and herself)

Torrie:"I would like first to thank you for coming out this week, Sharmell. Everybody knows how hard the past month has been for you. First, your husband Booker T accuses you of cheating with Sting. (Sharmell nods her head). Second, after not believing you, he puts you in a match with Sting, losing to him and you becoming Sting's manager (Sharmell nods her head again). Then finally last week, Sting and you once again try to talk some sense into Booker as you try to reconcile your marriage but Booker answers by attacking Sting and you got sent to the ground in the melee. What can you salvage from this situation?"

Sharmell:(emotional)" I finally realized last week that Booker T isn't the man I married. (Sharmell is trying to keep it togehter to get through this interview) "Through these years of being in this business it has taken a toll on the man he once was. He has allowed him to become bitter and jealous of people around him and this situation with Sting has put him over the edge."

Torrie:"Not to be unsentimental on your situation Sharmell, what is actually Sting's role in this, really?."

Sharmell:"It's okay Torrie, I imagine alot of people want to know that answer and it is simple. Sting and I are just friends. We were friends back in are WCW days when I was a Nitro Girl and there were rumors then about us, but nothing happened. Then I started to talk to Booker and we fell in love but I think for all these years Booker has believed the rumors of a relationship between Sting and me. But Torrie, there has been nothing romantic about Sting and I ever."

Torrie:"So what is next for you Sharmell? Are you going to stay here in the NWA as Sting's manager or will he leave?."

Sharmell:"Although Booker is a world-class wrestler and being here together could be awkward, I have every intention on staying on as Sting's manager or some other capacity here in the NWA. This industry has become my career and I'm not giving up even if I have filed for divorce with Booker."

Torrie:"So you have filed for divorce."

Sharmell:"Yes, Torrie. I filed for divorce earlier this week. Hopefully Booker will agree and we can put this all behind us and get on with our lifes."(A tear is shown on Sharmell's face as Torrie sends back to ringside)

Ross: (choked up)"What an unfortunate turn of events between Booker and Sharmell as it seems that it's going to end with the marriage over. Hopefully for both of them they can agree on this and they both can get on with their lives."

Lawler:(sounding like the world is ending)"It is saddening to see this once happy couple in this situation but Booker has caused this. He hasn't been able put his jealously of Sting behind them and it can only end in one way and sadly it's divorce, JR."

Ross:i]"We had some historic annoucements yesterday on our NWA website concerning "Slammiversary" here let's take a look at this video."

(A video is show of New Japan's Triple Crown Champion, the NWA's own, Sean O'Haire and Japanese legend Great Muta as their championship match for "Slammiversary" is announced. We are shown packages of GHC World Champion Takeshi Morishima and Bryan Danielson and CMLL World Champion Mistico and Chavo Guerrero Jr matches are announced also. Then in a surpise Carlito is named as a third participant for the CMLL title. The crowd somewhat cheers as the importance of the titles is kind of lost on the American crowd)

Ross:(shouting)"WHAT AN ANNOUNCEMENT? At Slammiversary we are going to have not one world title, not two, not three, not four but FIVE WORLD TITLES FROM THE AROUND THE WORLD DEFENDED AT "SLAMMIVERSARY! It's truly going to be a historic night."

Lawler:(excited but not as much as JR)"I couldn't believe myself when I read this yesterday. The two-day event that is "Slammiversary" is going to be a global event the likes the wrestling world has ever seen. We will have the best wrestlers in the world competing as the NWA is the only true world-wide wrestling company." (Lawler finishes the statement darting it right at the WWE)

(Music fills the arena as Scott Steiner appears to a negative reaction from the crowd. Steiner looks as intimidating as ever as he poses, kissing his biceps before making his way down to the ring. He stops and grabs a fan's signs that says "Matt Morgan is the Real Genetic Freak!", he then shouts at the fan and threatens him with a punch. We are shown a worrisome looking local wrestler in the ring as Steiner climbs through the rope. The man is introduced as Joey Orlando as he is the sacrifical lamb tonight.)

Match Two

Scott Steiner VS Joey Orlando

The bell rings as Steiner shouts at the no name and laughs to himself. He challenges the youngster to hit him and the youngster comes off the rope only to meet a Steiner Line for his effort. Steiner laughs as he picks him up and performs a textbook Belly to Belly Suplex knocking the wind out of Joe as he grasps his stomach in pain. Steiner laughs and does his signatrue pushups to the boos of the crowd. Steiner plays toyfully with the youngster as he shows off his arsenal of power moves. Orlando has no chance as Steiner can pin him at any time. After hitting a top rope Superplex, Orlando looks unconcious and the refereee urges Steiner to make the pin. Steiner just laughs as he picks Joey up and does a military press and drops him facefirst into the mat. The ref once again admonishes Steiner who just shoves him down with his head hitting the bottom turnbuckle The youngster is being destroyed to the crowd's horror but they arupt as Matt Morgan is seen running down the ramp. Morgan is on a mission to save the youngster and enters the ring. Steiner attempts a Steiner Line but catches a Big Boot from Morgan instead. As Steiner rises, shaking out the cobwebs, he gets hit by a Bicycle Kick by the 7 footer, Morgan. Steiner is down as the no-name Orlando comes to his senses along with the ref. Orlando crawls over and makes the cover for the win.

Winner

Joey Orlando

Orlando escapes the ring and joins the laughing Morgan on the ramp. The crowd is going wild as Steiner is coming to his senses in the ring and the referee tells him he lost. Steiner goes into a rampage as the referee escapes the ring with his life. Steiner is visibly upset as he shakes the ring ropes and yells at the two on the ramp who is still laughing at Steiner losing.

Ross:(yelling like its the biggest thing ever) I CAN'T BELIEVE IT THIS JOEY ORLANDO HAS UPSET SCOTT STEINER! STEINER IS BESDIE HIMSELF!"

Lawler:"This kid with help from Matt Morgan, don't forget JR, might have bitten off a little too much for himself by enraging Steiner like this. If I was him, I would take this one victory tonight and never be seen again. If Steiner gets a hold of him after this embarassment, who knows what Scotty is capable of."

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

(We come back as JR gives a medical report on Antonio Banks. After suffering numerous injuries from Kurt Angle in their matchup at "Final Destination" two weeks ago, Banks is planned to return to "Impact" in two weeks. JR sends to the back as we an suped up El Camino show up in the parking lot and we the "X-Division Tag Team Champions.-LAX get out with their manager the lovely , Salinas as they have fulfilled their promise about arriving on "Impact" to challenge the NWA World Tag Champs, "The Beautiful People" for a match at "Slammiversary")

(We see for the first time interviewer, Christy Hemme showing up to interview them but we see people run around her. As Homicide and Hernandez is getting stuff out of the back of the car, they are attacked. We see that the assailants are Johnny Superstar and Frankie Hollywood, they quickly send both members of LAX face first into the side of the El Camino. Salinas tries to intervene as she jumps on the back of Hollywood but she is quickly pulled off as Velvet Sky and Angelina Love arrives. The Latin wildcat tries to fight off the two vixens but is quickly subdued as Sky pulls out a can of hair spray and sprays into her eyes. Salinas is down and out as she screams in pain as she rubs her eyes. Sky then stops the comeback try of Hernandez with another shot of hairspray enabling Superstar to keep up the attack. With help form nearby trash cans, The Beautiful People beatdown LAX in a bloody mess. They puncutate the attack by spitting on each member and yelling at them that they accept their challenge for "Slammiversary". Finally medics arrive after Hemme running back in getting them. They check on LAX and Salinas as The Beautiful People continue to mock them. We go back to the ring.)

Ross:(shocked) What a dirty, down low tactic by the Tag Team World Champions blindsiding LAX like that. LAX wasn't coming here for a match or even a fight, they were just here to make a challenge. A challenge to see who is the best team in the NWA. There was no need for "The Beautfiul People" to resort to those kind of actions."

Lawler:"Well, JR, I have to disagree. They were just sending LAX a message that you can't come on their show and bully them around. LAX is used to teams being scared off by their persona and Superstar and Hollywood proved they aren't scared at all."

Ross::"It seems that before our next matchup there is a disturbance in the back concerning one of the wrestlers."

(We go backstage as we James Mitchell trying to calm down Matt Bloom as Ekmo stands in the background)

Mitchell:"What's your problem Matt? We are going out here to watch our newest addition, Ekmo destroy Abyss once and for all. We should be happy because after tonight we will only have to have Vampiro to worry about at "Slammiversary."

Bloom:(screaming, looking at Ekmo, who is grunting in the background) "My problem? You want to know my problem? James, you brought me here from Japan to do one thing and that was take out Abyss...Then you had Vampiro constanty interfering not letting me do the job, now we get rid of him and you bring in this Samoan Savage, Ekmo. (Bloom looks at Ekmo again, you is know headbutting the wall) My question is.. When are you going to let me settle this myself and if you aren't I'm going back to Japan. THATS IT! I'M NOT WASTING MY TIME ANYMORE!!." (Bloom storms off leaving Mitchell there as he tries to get Ekmo under control and on his way to the ring but they are stopped as the World Champ, Edge appears. He whispers something in Mitchell's ears, who then smiles and shakes the champ hands. They exit the back and Edge is left happy)

Lawler:"It looks like "The Freak Show" is having some friction with their newest member Ekmo. I think Bloom feels slighted by the Samoan facing Abyss here tonight instead of himself and what was Edge doing, you think JR."

JR"Well, King it's obvious to me, Abyss is a former NWA World Champion and he is probably striking a deal with the devil himself to prevent Abyss entering the Gauntlet after his tag team match at "Slammiversary" with Bloom & Ekmo. Edge doesn't want another challenger entering the match and Abyss could be a real threat."

Lawler:"Abyss is going to have his hands full tonight as Ekmo has been on a roll these past few months after going back to more savage roots and I've heard that for some reason Abyss's "Slammiversary" partner, Vampiro, isn't even here tonight."

JR:"Let's hope that Bloom stays away and doesn't get involved."

(Music hits as Mitchell and Ekmo arrives on the ramp to the boos of the crowd. Ekmo is doing his savage act as he beats on his chest and yells to the crowd. Niether men seemed worried at all about Bloom's earlier actions. They make their was to the ring as Mitchell screams last second directions to the animal, Ekmo. The crowd erupts as Abyss's music hits and "The Monster" appears he is on a mission as he runs down to the ring as Mitchell quickly exits.)

Match Three

Abyss VS Ekmo

(Summary)

Abyss and Ekmo quickly exchange blows as Abyss gets the upperhand as a powerful uppercuts knocks Ekmo through the ropes to the feet of Mitchell on the outside. Abyss motions to the crowd as they go wild. Ekmo recovers and gets more instructions from James before returning. Abyss keep up the momentum as he dominates the early going until Ekmo viciously rakes the eyes. Ekmo then hits a series of headbutts, staggering Abyss. He then surpisingly picks up the big Abyss and delivers a Samoan Drop and gets a near fall. Ekmo keeps up the onslaught as he hits a big splash and sets up Abyss in the corner. He runs across the ring and hits Abyss with his lower body, causing a sickening backlash as his head bounces off the turnbuckles. Ekmo drags out the limp body of Abyss as Mitchells yells his approval and makes the cover. Abyss, to the crowd delights, gets his shoulder up at the last second as a look of shock in shown on Ekmo. Mitchell shouts out more directions as Ekmo goes to the top rope. Ekmo unfamiliar with the territory is too slow as Abyss recovers and meets him at the top. After a few blows to the midsection of Ekmo, Abyss does the unthinkable and bodylams Ekmo off the top. As Ekmo crashes to the ground, Abyss climbs to the second rope and hits a double axe handle to the face of Ekmo as he stands up. Abyss signals to the crowd and to Mitchell for the Black Hole Slam and hits as Ekmo staggers to his feet. Abyss makes the cover for the impressive win.

Winner

Abyss

Abyss's celebration is short lived as he is attacked from behind from Matt Bloom. Bloom quickly picks up Abyss and unleashes a Powerbomb sending Abyss crashing to the match. Mitchell is overjoyed as Bloom as returned and orders Ekmo to help. Ekmo comes over to pick Abyss back up but gets a kick to the back of the head by Bloom. Bloom then picks up Ekmo and delivers a Powerbomb to the Samoan also. Bloom then points at the speechless Mitchell and leaves the ring. The crowd is in shock as they don't know what to make of this turn of events.

JR:(sounding puzzled)"What is going on here tonight? We thought we were getting to the bottom of things going into "Slammiversary" but so far tonight we are just left with more questions."

Lawler:"I think everybody is feelign the pressure of the biggest event of the year, JR. Everybody is looking to make their place in history. I think things will even get hotter tonight as we will see four of the particpants of the World Title Gauntlet match later tonight in the main event."

Ross: "It's going to be interesting after last week to see how Edge and Christian can get along as well as Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle. Each one of them wants to be champion but tonight they will have to rely on each other to survive the main event."

--------COMMERCIAL BREAK------

(We come back to the locker room of the NWA's newest team Beer Money as Christy Hemme arrives and we see Storm and Roode joined by Ted Dibiase Jr. We saw last week Dibiase show up during Beer Money's match and since people have been wondering why)

Dibiase:"So that's the offer. We think the two of you will be great additions to "The Company", just let me know next week what your answer is so I can tell "The Boss. Now if you excuse me." (Dibiase gets up and looks disgustingly at Hemme and exits the room)

Storm:"Christy, darling, come over here." (Christy looks leery but walks over to Storm who is drinking his beer as Roode is across the room shaking his head at his parnter. He gestures to her to sit on his lap and she relunctually does) "Baby, we called you back here tonight, to ask you what you thought about this?"

Hemme:(puzzled)"About what, James."

Roode:"I'll tell you what! (screams Roode) You have this LAX show up off of "Xplosion" and get a match with "The Beautful People" at "Slammiversary". That match should have been ours. Then we arrive here tonight and find out The Dudleys are facing The Hooligans and we don't have a match tonight. That's bullshit. We are the hottest new team in this company and we are already getting pushed to the backburner."

(Roode kicks over a suit case and a trash can as Hemme leaps up and runs out of the room, Storm tries to calm his partner and offers him a beer. Roode drinks it down as Storm laughs, they sit back down and seem to be content on the situation for now)

(We go back to the ring as we the Dudleys music hits and Brother Ray and Brother D-Von come out of the back to the roar of the crowd. The have a table and are bringing it down to ringside as therowd chants "We Want Tables". The Dudleys get into the ring and play to their fans as the music hits for the "Hooligans". Nigel and Burchill show up in their usual soccer jerseys and scowl looks, they get a sparse round of applause as they have been gaining fans surpsingly the past few weeks. The arrive at ringside with a look of determination to prove themselves to the Dudleys.)

Match Four

The Hooligans VS The Dudleys

(Summary)

The match starts off with D-Von and Nigel with Nigel getting the quick advantage. He armdrags over D-Von and holds on forming an arm bar. He goes to work on the arm hoping to take away the 3-D manuever. The arm remains the focus as the Brits tag in and out quickly as Ray tries to motivate D-Von from the outside. After an Uppercut Clothsline by Nigel he gets a near fall as Ray breaks up the count. The referee sends Ray back to the outside giving the Hooligans another five minutes of an attack on D-Von as we go to commercial. We come back from commercial and poor D-Von is still in the ring as Burchill stomps away. D-Von finally finds an opening at hits a clothsline on Burchill out of nowhere after he explodes out of the corner. He makes his way to Ray for a tag at the same time Burchill tags in Nigel. Nigel is no match for the right jabs from Big Ray who sends him to the mat, Ray then gives a couple to Paul as he enters his personal space. The match has broken down as all four men are involved as Ray is now on the outside with Nigel and D-Von is manhandling Burchill on the inside. The referee has lost control and calls for the bell. The teams continue on as D-Von and Burchill has spilled out of the ring and all four men are now in the crowd. The crowd goes crazy as the four fight up into the stands and out of sight.

Winners

No Contest

Ross:(out of breath from calling the action) "Orlando better watch out tonight because I don't see that fight stopping for awhile, they're probably already out in the streets."

Lawler:"They are definately two of the toughest teams here in the NWA and tonight they proved it as neither team backed down an inch. I gotta give credit to Burchill and McGuiness as they proved to me they are two tough men here tonight, going toe to toe with the Dudleys."

(We see footage of Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle getting ready to come to the ring as the main event is next)

(We come back to here the roar of the crowd as Angle is already out and coming to the ring, the loudest ovation of the night belongs to the Olympic Champion as he awaits his partner. Jarrett music hits as his response is close to Angle's but falls short. With his guitar in his hand Jarrett makes his way down as him and Angle look ready to do some damage tonight. Christian music hits next as he gets a roar from the crowd. Cage doesn't look happy getting stuck with the champ, Edge as his partner here tonight but looks focused at Jarrett and Angle in the ring. Edge hits to the chorus of boos he has grown used too. He makes his way to the ring where he gets glares from all three men already in the ring. He shows them all the World Title and points to himself as a sign that he is keeping the title at "Slammiversary")

Main Event

Edge & Christian VS Kurt Angle & Jeff Jarrett

(Summary)

The start of the match see disagreement between Edge and Christian as they discuss who will start and Edge slaps Cage across the face. As Cage gets ready to respond, Angle starts the violence with a kick on Christian as Edge gets on the apron and laughs at Christian. Angle dominates the early part as he throws Christian around with every kind of suplex there is, he then starts to bend up Christian like a pretzel showing off his mass array of submission manuevers. Edge doesn't seem worried about his partner at all as he is almost joyful watching Cage getting torn apart. Finally out of a sleeperhold, Cage ducks down and coutners with a jaw breaker on Angle. As he goes to the corner for the tag, Edge drops off the apron preventing it from happening. Angle though is able to make the tag to Jarrett who gets control of Cage once again. Jarrett starts to work over the legs of Cage before finally locking in a Figure Four lock. As Cage screams in pain, Edge gets off the apron again and laughs almost in the face of Christiain. Chrisitian irate from Edge's action gets a shot of adrenaline and gets to the ropes. But as he holds on the ropes, Edge hits a fist to face causing Christian to let go and Jarrett pulls him back to the center of the ring. Angle has seen enough as he jumps off the apron himself and attacks Edge on the outside. Edge thought escapes barely and returns to his corner as Angle restrains himself and returns to his.

In the ring after seeing the action on the outside, Jarrett relinquishes the hold. Cage is on his last legs as Jarrett pulls him up but gets caught in a small package for a near fall. Jarrett is upset a little but Cage blocks the punch and hits one of his own. He goes to whip Jarrett in the corner but Jarrett counters Cage and sends him into Edge instead. Edge is knocked off the apron but the referee yells it's a legal tag. Jarrett quickly tags in Angle who awaits in the ring as the referee informs Edge that he is the legal man. Edge is upset and argues with Christian who shoves him through the ropes to Angle. Angle is ready as he hits three consective German Suplexes sending Edge into La-La Land. He then gets up Edge into an Olympic Slam postion but the wily champ holds onto the ropes preventing the manuever. He slides out of the ring.

He decides he has had enough and goes up the ramp. Angle is beside him with anger and goes on the pursuit of Edge up the ramp. Cage and Jarrett is left in the ring not knowing what to do. As Edge backpedals up the ramp he can't see that Randy Orton has appeared on the ramp. As Angle charges, Edge turns around unexpectly to see Orton there. Edge doesn't know what to do as he now backs up right into an "OLYMPIC SLAM". Angle sends Edge crashing to concrete with a thickening thud but before he can celebrate Angle catches a "RKO!". Orton sends Angle face first into the ground as he joins Edge down on the ramp. The crowd is roaring as the action heats up and Orton goes back to the backstage.

The referee has thrown this match out as Jarrett has watched the carnage unfold and has been more than happy to not get involved but he has taken his eye of Cage. Jarrett turns around and "WHAM" as his own guitar comes crashing over his head by the hands of Christian. The "Impact Zone" is roaring as Edge, Angle and Jarrett has been laid out. Cage stands tall in the ring as he holds up the NWA World Title that was left by Edge. He plays to the crowd as they adore him but when he turns around he is met by A CLOTHSLINE FROM HELL! Cage is down in beside Jarrett as John Layfield has came out of nowhere. Layfield has made his statement that he will be accepting his invitation as a past NWA World Champion and will be competing at "Slammiversary". A quick replay shows Layfield coming out of the crowd and entering the ring behind Christian. We come back as Layfield comes up the ramp and looks down on Angle and Edge still laid out. He gives everbody the "Hook'em Horns" sign as we go off the air.

NWA presents "Xplosion" from Nashville, Tennessee (6-13-09)

(Pyros go off as we start the show. The camera scans the arena as we a capacity crowd in Nashville as the NWA goes on the road to hype up "Slammiversary". The camera settle in on the "Xplosion" announce team of Mike Tenay and "Xplosion" General Manger, Mick Foley, at ringside)

Tenay:(you can hear the excitement in his voice)"We are only 12 days away from the NWA's premeir pay per view, "Slammiverary" and things are really heating up here on "Xplosion. Every wrestler on the roster is taking their intensity up a level looking to make a name for themselves on the biggest stage in our business."

Foley:(slapping Tenay on the back) "Calm down their Professor, don't have a heart attack. (Tenay laughs) But I understand your excitement. Never before will a pay per view have FIVE World Title matchups in one weekend. I just hope our World Title.. the X-Division World Championship steals the show."

Tenay: (agreeing)"With such superstars like the champion,Jeff Hardy..(crowd goes wild)...AJ Styles (the reaction changes as the crowd boos tremoundously)...Kofi Kingston (crowd cheers)....Rob Van Dam (crowd boos)....Samoa Joe (mixed reaction) and Chris Jericho (the loudest cheers of the night), I don't see how any match can outdo the action that will be in that ring.)

Foley:"I think I put in the 6 most deserving wrestlers into the main event and I couldn't have done a better job as General Manger."

Tenay: "This past week, I sat down with each man and got their own takes on what the X-Divison title means to them and what they think will happen at "Slammiverary." We will show 3 of those special interviews throughout tonight's broadcast We will also have a great main event here tonight as NWA Television Champion, Rey Mysterio will put the belt on line against his good friend, CM Punk."

Foley:" I'm really looking forward to the match up and to see what each man has to say......

(Foley is interrupted as the music of "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels fills the arena.
Daniels is still looking upset after not being given a chance to qualify for the main event at "Slammivesary." He bypasses the ring and walks over to confront General Manger, Mick Foley, at the announcer's table)

Foley: (standing up to face Daniels) "What the hell do you want?"

Daniels: (rubbing his goatee)"What do I want? I want to know how you can sit out and lie to these great fans..(the crowd boos as Tenay looks totally confused as Foley stares back intensely at Daniels)...You just told everybody that you put in the most deserving six men into the main event but you left out the first ever NWA X-Division Champion, Christopher Daniels....I want to know why?

Foley:"Well, Daniels you came out here last week and complained about the same thing and it's simple...The others are better...(Daniels looks outraged at the comment as the crowd goes wild) Then you didn't help your cause by losing to Carlito last week...If you want to prove to me that you belong in the main event discussion. You better start proving it in the ring NOT by just running your mouth! "

(Daniels stares blankly at Foley as the words just spoken sinks into his head. The crowd is cheering as they are wating for some kind of physcial exchange from the two. Daniels looks down and that back at Foley, who has his fists clinched ready to fight)

Daniels:"You want me to prove myself to you, Foley....FINE!...But you are responsible for my actions now..."

(Daniels slams down the mic and walks back to the backstage. Tenay still has the goofy, astonished face on as Foley looks like he is trying to calm down from the confrontation. The crowd boos Daniels who poses one final time on the ramp as we go to commercial)

----COMMERCIAL BREAK-----

(When we come back we are show a video package of CMLL World Heavyweight champion, Mistico. We are shown a vignette of his breathtaking moves as he will be defending the title versus Carlito and Chavo Guerrero Jr and Slammiversary. We then go backstage where Jeremy Borash is standing backstage with Carlito and Carlos Colon)

Borash:" Well, Carlito, we have just seen footage of one of the men you will being facing, the champion, Mistico. I know that you are exicted by the announcement that you were added to the match, but how do you prepare for a man that you haven't really seen much of."

Carlito: (looking at his legendary dad)" All I can say JB, is that for the first time in Carlito's life, I'm making my father proud.(Carlos shakes his head in agreement)..After years of doing things the wrong way in the ring, taking shortcuts anytime I could, I have changed my ways and at "Slammiversary", it is Carlito's destiny to come out as CMLL World Champion. It doesn't matter that it's Mistico or Chavo Guerrero Jr. that stands in my way"

(Borash looks stunned as the two Puerto Ricans leave after those words and he sends it back to the ring)

Tenay:"That is a side of Carlito, I have never seen before, Mick. He seems to be taking this match more seriously then any other one in his career."

Foley:"I think having his father around the past month or so, has had a postivie effect on Carlito as it seems that he has been a driving force in the new found desire. The CMLL title might not be a big deal to American fans but trust me not many things are bigger for Latino wrestlers then that title."

(Music hits as Low Ki exits the backstage, he is joined by his fellow Cult members, Shannon
Moore, Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs. Cult leader, Raven, is strangely missing from the group as the they slink their way to ringside as Low Ki gets ready for single's action.)

(Music hits as Jay Lethal's cousin, Elijah Burke appears and the crowd goes wild. He is joined by his cousins, Jay Lethal, Human Tornado and Austin Creed as they stare at their rivals at ringside on their way down. Elijah enters the ring and stares down Low Ki as the groups position themselve around the ring0

Match One

Low Ki VS Elijah Burke

The match is another chapter in the rival between the two groups that will be finally settled in a steel cage at "Slammiversary". The match started off as Low Ki attacked Elijah before the bell rang. The mean, sadistic streak Raven has installed in the psyche of Low Ki is on display as he is relentless in the attack. Ki does everything to inflict pain on Burke, He chokes, bites and scratches, ignoring the referee warnings as he looks crazed. Burke was dazed as Low Ki clothslined him over to the top to the his fellow Cult members at ringside.

On the outside, Black, Jacobs and Moore put the boots to Elijah before the calvary arrived. The members of the Lethal Combination chase the Cult off as they check on their cousin's well-being as we cut to commercial. When we come back, Elijah is on the offensive as a replay showed Elijah connecting on a reveral DDT to gain the advantage. After a series of jabs from the ex-boxer, Burke returns the favor and clothslines Low Ki to the floor. His cousins return the favor of boots before finally rolling Low Ki back in the ring as the Cult members stay their distance from the action on the outside.

Elijah stays in control as the crowd boos and the Cult's leader Raven appears on the ramp. The camera zooms in on Raven, who makes a cuthroat signal. After seeing this the members of the Cult storm the ring, causing the referee to call for the bell. The Lethal family member's enter the ring quickly as all 8 men are in a wild brawl in the ring as Raven looks on. In the mess, Jimmy Jacobs rolls out of the ring and finds himself a steel chair. He returns to the ring and delivers two shots to Creed and Tornado who was working over Tyler Black in the corner. With the two cousins laid out, Jay Lethal and Elijah was easy victims for the Cult's beatdown. After another shot to both Creed and Tornado for good measure, Lethal and Elijah is tied up in the ropes as Shannon Moore pulls out a fork from his ring boot. He hands it to Low Ki as he gets ready to carve into the flesh of both men.

The crowd erupts as already pumped up, General Manager, Mick Foley throws off his headset and enters the ring. The Cult members turn around and each receive heavy right hands from the Hardcore Legend. Foley clears the ring and stares down at Raven as his followers join him on the ramp. Foley points a chubby finger at the leader as he unties Lethal and Burke from the ropes. Raven doesn't take his eyes off Foley until the Cult vanishes to the back.

Winner by DQ

Elijah Burke

Tenay:"What a turn off events! The Cult is pushing the line of damn right criminal actions and I'm glad to see GM, Mick Foley putting a stop to it....As I try to calm down my broadcast partner, let's go to my interview with X-Division World Champion, "The Daredevil" Jeff Hardy."

(We are shown a videotape of Mike Tenay and Jeff Hardy sitting across from each other on the stools at an empty set)

Tenay:
"I am proud to have my guest at this time, the X-Division World Champion, Jeff Hardy. Jeff, you are going to into "Slammiversary" and probably facing the biggest match of your career. You will be defending your title against five of the best superstars that the X-Division has to offer in the first even "Survival of the Fittest" match. What is your thoughts.?

Hardy:"First off, I will like to thank you for this time. To get to your question, I have dreamed my whole career on becoming not only a World Champion but a great World Champion. I think since winning the title, I have defended it in a respectable and honest way and whatever happens at "Slammiversary", I'll be remembered as a great champion."

Tenay:"That sounds to me, that you aren't to sure that you will be walking out the champion?"

Hardy:"Now don't get that wrong, Mike. I have every intention on being champion for a long time and I will lay everything the line come "Slammiversary" too make sure that happens. My fans won't expect less from me than that. But I'm not too naive either, we have 30 minutes to get the most wins we can anyway possible. So more things factor into the outcome then myself."

Tenay:"You touched on something right there. The Survival of the Fittest is going to be a match, where there is a 30 minute time limit. Whoever can get the most wins in that time period by submssion, pinfall, dq or countout will be win the title. How does it feel that you might not be beaten at all but still lose your title."

Hardy:"It doesn't feel too good to know that I don't have to lose myself too lost the title but that is the match stipulation. I think so far, Mick Foley has been a fair general manager to any kind of wrestler and this type of match will be enjoyed by fans since it will be filled with some tremondous action."

Tenay:"Do you have any special messages to your fans or opponents before "Slammiversary"?"

Hardy:(staring intensely into the camera)"All I have to say is this. I promise that "Slammiversary" will be something that will go down in wrestling history and everybody will forever remember the name Jeff Hardy!!!"

(The camera comes back out as Hardy and Tenay shakes hands after the interview. We go to commercial)

----COMMERCIAL BREAK-----

(We come back from commercial and see a video package of Bryan Danielson and Takeshi Morishima competing in Japan. The two men who will wreste for the GHC World Title at "Slammiverary" shows the American fans what has been going during Danielson's tour of Japan's NOAH promotion. We go back to the announce team as Foley has calmed down and has rejoined Tenay at ringside)

Foley:(still visibly upset about the earlier actions of the Cult)"I would like to apologize to you Mike and the fans at home for leaving my obligations as an announcer. I just couldn't sit here and watch what they were going to do Jay and Elijah with that fork. I have felt that before digging into my own skin and I don't want any wrestler to feel that kind of pain on my watch."(Foley pulls his hair back as the crowd chants his name)

Tenay:"That's okay Mick. I think I can speak for everybody as we are happy you did something about that."

(Tenay looks at Foley with an expression of approval. as music fills the arena and we see The Hart Attack, Teddy Hart and Harry Smith come down to heat from the crowd. After not appearing on "Xplosion" last week, there has been rumors of the two heading to the WWE but they are here tonight for a match)

(The crowd erupts to one of the loudest ovations of the night as Jay and Mark Briscoe make their way to ringside. The two rednecks have become the most popular team on "Xplosion" and have no love lost towards their opponents here tonight.)

Match Two

The Hart Attack VS The Briscoes

Before the match can start, music hits again as The Motor City Machine Guns come down the ramp. The trio of Austin Aries, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin just won the GHC Tag Team Title on their tour of Japan and make their way down to the announce table as Shelley joins Foley and Tenay in calling the matchup.

Even though there is a great match in the ring, the biggest story in this appearance of the Guns. While on commentary, both teams are insulted by Shelley repeatedly. He rips on the Hart Attack, saying the only reason they are in wrestling today is because of who their family is and he insults the Briscoes for well, just being rednecks.

The action is back and forth in the ring but after every great move, Shelley comments that wouldn't happen if they were in the ring with the Guns. GM Foley has heard enough and tells Shelley that since the Guns are here at the NWA and not in Japan, they can face both teams at "Slammiverary" then. Shelley protests the announcement as both teams in the ring have now figured out what has been going on. The intensity in the ring picks up as they learn now that they have new found chances at tag team gold. Aries and Sabin isn't happy with the decision as they now argue with Shelley who has taken the headset off. The three storm away from the ring as the action inside continues.

Hart and Jay Briscoe are fatigued in the ring with Teddy in control. He hits a piledrive on Jay and goes to the top rope for "Open Hart Surgery" but when he crashes down he finds no one home. Teddy is holding on to his ribs as Jay tags in Mark. Mark comes in and gives a huge running elbow to Harry, knocking him off the apron. After a clothsline to Teddy, he helps Jay to his feet and makes sure he is okay. Mark picks up the dazed, Hart on his shoulders as Jay has regained his senses and springboards off the rope with a clothsline, completely their version of the "Doomsday Device". Jay runs over and stops Harry from breaking up the pin as Mark hooks Teddy's leg for the three count.

Winnners

The Briscoe Brothers

Tenay:"A great win for the Briscoes, hear on "Xplosion" and what an announcement as they can now carry the momentum into "Slammiversary" as they get a surprised shot at the GHC Tag Team Titles."

Foley:"It has been a crazy night here on "Xplosion", Mike and the last thing I want to hear was Alex Shelley's mouth. He said that they will have no problem with either team so I'm going to give them the chance to back it up come "Slammiversary". But to be fair, I'm going to allow all 3 members of the Guns compete in the matchup."

Tenay:"So it's going to be The Hart Attack, The Briscoes and all three members of the Motor City Machine Guns at "Slammiversary" for the GHC tag team titles."

Foley:"I will have to get with our NOAH partners to make it official but that is what I want to see happen, so hopefully doing the commercial break, I can get some on the phone and make it official when we come back."

----COMMERCIAL BREAK----

(We come back from commercial and are back to one of the taped interviews of Mike Tenay. This
time he is with Kofi Kingston)

Tenay: "Earlier this evening, I talked to the champion, Jeff Hardy and asked some questions, Kofi. So I'm going to ask you about the same. Kofi, since debuting here on "Xplosion" you have made quite a name for yourself. You have the longest undefeated streak and the longest NWA Television title reign in history, are you ready to make the next step in career."

Kofi::"Let me tell you something, Mikey. Ever since I was a young child, Kofi has faced tough times. My family didn't have much money, so ever since I was 5 years old, I have had to help out to put food on the table. When I finally got my break in the wrestling business and signed here in the NWA, I see this as the opportunity of a lifetime not just for me but my whole family."

Tenay:"Not many fans know this side of you Kofi, they see this fun-loving persona that you put on every week."

Kofi:: "Nobody wants to hear how bad I've had it growing up Mike. Most everybody at home watching are having the same hard times that I faced. It's my job to take their minds off of it for awhile, that's why I try to be the most entertaining I can be in that ring, week in and week out."

Tenay:;"Compared to the others competing, Kofi, you take this more than just a match."

Kofi:"It is much more! This is to show everybody that dreams can come true. That no matter what you come from, if you work hard you can become somebody. At "Slammiversary" Kofi will become somebody at it will be X-DIVISION WORLD CHAMPION!!!"

(With that the two shakes hand as Kofi looks very emotional after the interview, We go back to ringside as we Foley putting away his cellphone)

Foley:"I just got off with our NOAH agent and he has confirmed that the GHC Tag Team matchup will take place at "Slammiversary". So Guns you better be able to back up what you say in twelve days."

Tenay:"Speaking about Tag-Team titles let's have a look at what happened to the X-Division Champions, LAX when they showed up on "Impact" this week."

(A video is show of the NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Beautiful People's attack on LAX when LAX arrived on "Impact" to challenge them for "Slammiversary." The assault from Superstar and Hollywood is complete with the hairsspray attacks by Angelina Love and Velvet Sky)

Tenay:"Even after that vicious assault, we are happy to report that LAX will still be able to compete at "Slammiversary". It is still unclear if Salinas will be able to be at ringside but Homicide and Hernandez has vowed their revenge."

Foley:"It goes to show that the "Impact" stars are worried about us on "Xplosion". It was a cowardly attack by the NWA World Champs but I have no doubt that LAX will settle the score on pay per view."

(Music hits as the Matt Hardy appears ready for action. After losing a qualifying match for "The Survival of the Fittest Match" last week, Matt hasn't been himself and looks a little off going into this weeks matchup)

(We here the voice of Larry Sweeney and the crowd boos his annoucment of his wrestler, Gregory Helms. Helms, who also last a qualifier last week, seems upset about having to face his long time rival here tonight)

Match Three

Matt Hardy VS Gregory Helms

The two men know each other too well as the first few minutes, we see a series of reversals. Each move has been seen by the other too many times to be effective. Finally thanks to Sweeney on the outside, Helms is able to gain an advantage with a chop block to Matt's knee.

With the knee now hurt, Helms worked it over with a fever. The pain is shown on the face of Hardy after a series of Dragon Whips from Helms. The knee is more destroyed as Helms drags him over to the corner and exits out of the ring only to wrap around the injured leg around the steel ring post. After the referee yells at Helms to get back in the ring, he is able to distract the ref enough for Sweeney to use the ring post a couple of times. Hardy looks devestated after a knee breaker by Helms gets a near fall.

After being locked in a figure four, Matt finally gets to the ropes causing the break. As he pulls himself up by the ropes, Helms charges over only to get back dropped over the top by Hardy. As Sweeney tries to help his protege on the outside. Hardy garners strength from the crowd and slingshots off the far ropes and dives through the other ropes and crashes taking out Helms and Sweeney. The crowd goes wild as we see head bouncing off the steel barricades. Hardy pulls himself back up and rolls into the ring. With the crowd still going going wild, he climbs to the top. He pulls one out of his brother's playbook as does his own daredevil manuever as he hits a splash on Helms on the concrete floor. The crowd goes wild as both men are counted out.

Winner

No Contest

Matt Hardy is the first to get to his feet as the crowd goes wild. He poses for the crowd as Sweeney and Helms is still laid out from the crazy moves by Hardy.

Tenay(gasping, out of breath)"What a performance by both men. After coming up short last week in getting into The Survival of the Fittest match, they come back and lay it all on the line here tonight,'

Foley:"That's how you make an impression on me, Mike Tenay. Pay attention, Christopher Daniels because they just showed you how to get your shot. I'm going to make a match right now for "Slammiversary". Matt Hardy VS Gregory Helms. The winner of the match will face whoever the X-Division Champion is two days later here on "Xplosion". Here in the NWA you earn your shots in the ring and that is what both men just did."

---COMMERCIAL BREAK----

(We come back to the final interview of Tenay this week as he is sitting down with AJ Styles)

Tenay:"I'm here now with AJ Styles. I have already heard emotional confessions from Jeff Hardy and Kofi Kingston, What does the X-Division Title mean to you?

Styles:"What it means to me? That's easy. Women and money, Mike. When you're the champ everybody loves you, everybody wants to be with you, hell everybody wants to be you."

Tenay:"Well, you certainly have a different take on it as the others."(Styles interrupts)

Styles:"What did they say, Mike? That it's their dream (laughs), it's for their fans (laughs) and it's for their families (laughs). They are full of it. Its for one thing and that is the fame and fortune that comes with the title."

Tenay:"Some are saying you don't belong in this matchup, that you backed into it, thanks to help from Randy Orton. They say Rey Mysterio had you beat."

Styles:: Who says that... you Tenay? (Tenay denies it) It sure sounds like something you will whine about. All I have to say is that AJ Styles did whatever it took to get into the matchup and AJ Styels will do whatever it takes to win the title at "Slammiversary". I'm the greatest X-Dvision World Champion we have ever had and come "Slammiversary" I will be able to add to that legacy."

(With those final statements, we head to the lockeroom as we see a recovered,Larry Sweeney talking to someone blocked from our view. Suddenly we hear the door swing open and Matt Sydal appears from behind the camera. He sees Sweeney and yells at him what he is doing there. Then the person he was talking too steps into camera view and we see it is Brian Kendrick and Jack Evans. Sweeney runs past Sydal and exits the room leaving the tag team partners to talk amongst themselvs)

Sydal:"What the hell is he doing here? I come back after getting cleared by the doctors and find that snake, Larry Sweeney in our lockeroom. What did he want?"

Evans:(stuttering)"Wellll......."

(Kendrick interrupts him)Kendrick:"Why do we have to answer to you, Matt? Last week, you competed in a qualifier for "The Survival of Fittest" match without talking to us first. How do you think that made us feel, coming to the arena only to find our partner going solo without us? So if the "great" Matt Sydal is looking out for himself, we decided that this week we are going to look our for what's best for us."

Sydal:" You think what's best is aligning ourselves with Larry Sweeney, What has he done for Gregory Helms? What's he gonna do for us?' Do you agree, Jack?"

(Kendrick tells Jack to be quiet and talks again)"Well, I saw tonight that Gregory Helms has a shot at gaining a championship match at "Slammiversary". What have we gotten lately? The Briscoes and The Harts just got a shot at the GHC tag team titles, LAX is facing a team from "Impact" and the best tag team in "Xplosion" history if left out of "Slammiversary' without a match. What are you doing for us Matt or are you worrying about yourself. C'mon Jack."

(Sydal is speechless as Kendrick leads Evans out of the lockeroom. The true feelings that his teammates have shared with him has seemingly shaken him up. We then go to shots of Rey Mysterio and CM Punk getting ready as we cut to a commercial break)

---COMMERCIAL BREAK-----

(The crowd roars as Rey Mysterio appears on the ramp with the title around his waist, then in a surprising move CM Punnk comes out with him as both the champ and the challenger come to ring together. They crowd cheers both men as they high five the fans on their way to the ring. Both men roll into the ring and warm up. They shake hands before the referee calls for the bell, showing their respect and friendship toward each other.)

Main Event

NWA Television Title Match

Rey Mysterio (champion) VS CM Punk

The two meet up in the middle of the ring and the opening minutes is controlled by the quickenss advantage of Rey Mysterio. He is step ahead of Punk, dodging his martial art kicks and countering with quick, highflying attacks. Finally Mysterio hits a flying forearm knocking Punk out of the ring. They each now have the looks on the faces that now they aren't no longer friends, they are competing against each other.

Punk played a little possum on the outside as he avoided a baseball slide by Mysterio by moving out of the way. As Rey turned around he caught a Punk kick right on the chin. Mysterio is stunned as Punk whips him into the steel steps and rolls him back into the ring. Mysterio kicks out of a pin fall attempt at two and a half but catches a wicked forearm uppercut from Punk for the effort.

Punk has shown a more meaner streak since his return from his injury and has showed it off here with the referee calling for breaks and Punk ignoring them numerous times. The punishment of Punk's offense has taken it's toil on Rey as Punk connected on the knee to the side of the head and followed it with the bulldog out of the corner. He signals for the GTS as he waits for Rey to stand up. He picks up the smaller man with ease and places him on his shoulders.

Rey isn't ready to give up yet as he starts elbowing Punk to the side of the head out of desperation. He wiggles free and drops behind Punk and quickly comes off the ropes with a dropkick to the back of Punk. Punk falls across the ring and finds himself draped over the bottom rope. Rey realizes what this means and signals for the "619". He comes off the ropes and swings around and connects with the kick on Punk. As Punk staggers back, Rey springs off the ropes with the hurricarana attempt only to find Punk block getting flipped over. He wiggles loose of the grip of Mysterio's legs and counters setting up Rey and hitting the "Pepsi Plunge". Rey is laid out as have the fans are cheering and half are booing as Punk goes for the pin. The referee counts to three and we have a new NWA Television Champion!!

Winner and New NWA Television Champion

CM Punk

Tenay: "We have a new Television Champion!! CM Punk has defeated his good friend, Rey Mysterio Jr. here tonight. What a matchup!!

Foley:"Well, I consider this a big upset, Tenay. Punk hasn't been the same since being injured last year but he sure rose to the occasion tonight going into "Slammiverary."

(Punk celebrates in the ring as he gets a mixed reaction from the crowd due much to his borderline heel tactics in the matchup. Punk leans over to help Rey Mysterio Jr. up, who is angry and shoves Punk away. Punk looks upset at Rey's reaction and sticks out his hand as a goodwill gesture. The fans now cheer for Rey to take Punk's hand. Rey finally agrees and both men shake hands and hug. Punk pats Rey on the head and turns around to go to the back and then BOOM! The sound of a kendo stick breaking over his head is heard throughout the arena. Punk falls down with blood instantly gashing from his forehead and Rey looks stunned as blood is spattered on his mask. He doesn't have time to react as he catches a shot of his own to his head. Mysterio falls unconciously beside CM Punk. The crowd boos as Christopher Daniels stands over both bleeding men. He turns around and looks squarely at Mick Foley and laughs).

Tenay:"You told Daniels at the beginning of the night to do something to prove himself, and I guess this is his response."

Foley:(seething)"I guess it is!!"

(The show ends with Daniels and Foley staring down each other as Daniels is still laughing at the injuries he inflicted to Punk and Mysterio)
