...and am typing with my left hand. :(

My friend literally stomped on my hand when I was picking up his pack of cigarettes from the floor. It hurts so fucking bad, I can't hold a pen, can't write, can't type.

I'll probably go to the doctor sometime soon to get it treated.

Ever happened to anyone before?

Not the same way it happened to you. But, two fucking painful things involving fingers were when
1-My hand got stuck in an elevator, as it was closing. One of the most painful things I've ever felt.
2-I was running, fell, and somehow, landed on my hand, and my entire nail, not just the end where peopel go "ow, I broke a nail", but the whole thing, right down to the finhger, ripped off, and I could see all the skin and blood underneath it. It took like 6 months to grow competely back, and the worst part is.... It grew in crooked :/

Ouch. I can just feel the pain reading through that post of yours.

How did you get out of the first situation? The entire hand stuck in the elevator? Which one was it, left or right?

The only problem with me is that whatever happens, happens to my right hand which makes it difficult to write, type, hold something etc.

For C4:
The lesson to learn: Never pick someone's pack of cigarettes from the floor. (Atleast the Iron Sheik didnt see you get down on your knees, or he will be fucking you in the ass and make you humble  jk)

For Mikeraw:
The lesson to learn: Never ever think of an elevator door as some chick's pussy :shifty:

Seriously though, I had some incident before that my hand was run over by a bike when I was in some garden/park. It was painful but not that of a big deal as it was kinda quick so I didnt feel the full force of the bike on my hand.

it was fucking scary. I can remember it pretty well. I was like 6, and I was holding the door open, but because I was young, I wasn't strong enough to hold it open logn enough, so it began to close, and my hand was stuck in between the elevator and the thing it was closing on, but it didn't close all the way, cause my brother and mom were pressing that button that prevents it from closing, but it was squeezing my finger right between the wall and the elevator. After probably 15 seconds I was able to pull out, but man, my finger was all bruised and wreked. It was my right hand BTW.

I once got my finger stuck in a car door; I slammed it shut behind me and my hand was still there. It caught about two or three fingers. It was a lot of pain and was purple for like three or four days. Could be more but I don't remember it too well I was like six.

This isn't to do with me but my uncle when he was about ten he was go-carting. And he was obsessed as a kid with you know speed. 'Faster...faster' etc. And he would never use the breaks on the thing. In his head he would go as fast as he can and nothing would happen to him.

Next thing you know he became one with the brick wall and he is alright now but all of his fingers in one hand were ripped off and I mean that completely from the knuckles up it was on the floor. And he went to hospital to get them stitched up and it is a funny story to tell...that you went to hospital and your fingers went in a bag next to you.

Fingers can be broken or fractured pretty easily without even knowing it. Most of the time the doctor won't do much else except tape it up for you. BTW, finger injuries (if you break or chip a bone) the pain never really goes away. It just kind of dulls.

This may seem really strange; I was thinking of making a thread for it like C4 has this one. But since everyone is giving their own personal experiences. I thought I would give mine which is happening now and I might be able to get feedback on what to do.

Ok since probably last not sure maybe 'June' ? somewhere around there or July. I was staying at my uncle's place and I dunno in the middle of the night I rolled over and continued sleeping fine but when I woke up my index finger was horribly bent and I was able to straiten it but even nearly year later I might occasionally wake up and have to crack that finger to pop it back in place. It doesn't hurt but occasionally if I write for a while or use it I would look at it and it would get 'locked' as in I couldn't move it and I had to use my other hand to actually pick up the finger and crack it again back up right.

I mean it doesn't hurt but it is annoying. And I am not sure about it?

We were playing tackle football at school and we weren't supposed to because my gym teacher was being gay like he always was. So my buddy kicked the ball off to the other team and I was going to tackle the kid with the ball but I got behind him and chased him, then I was stupid enough to pull his shirt to see if he'd fall down and my finger got caught in there and it twisted it like a bitch. Then my teacher found out that we were playing tackle and I ended up getting suspended AND had a broken finger.
It was a bad day...

I had the car door closed on my fingers when I was a kid. We had Atari at the time (yeah, it was a while ago) and I had this HUGE icepack on my hand and had tried so hard to play video games.

All my fingers had gigantic dents in it and one of my nails fell off. Fucking gross.

I've had fingers shut in the door before, the car door. I was lucky, I didn't feel anything or have any major problems with it.

In regards to the swelling and pain you're getting C4, I had an incident like that once. We were playing basketball and I got a quick pass to me, and my hands were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The ball literally hit the tip of my index finger and it bounced off it when it was straight. It was swollen and sore as shit for .... 2 weeks, I think. I now actually write funny because I'm left handed, and I couldn't bend my finger.

I've never really had any big injury to my fingers before, but my little bro did:

I wasn't there to see this, but he was staying over at his friends house, and I guess he was standing by the bathroom door, with one hand up on the wall. His friend walked in too the bathroom, and shut the door right on my brothers finger, and I mean like, the door was completely closed, and his finger was stuck in there. His friend locked the door when he closed it, and they had to yell for him to open it, so his finger was stuck in there for atleast a few seconds.

They took him to get it checked out right away, and apparently it wasn't broken, but the bone was bruised pretty bad. They wrapped up his finger, and it was real discolored for atleast a month or two (might of been even longer, can't really remember). I don't know how his finger didn't just break off or something, cause there's barely any room inbetween a door and the doorframe. He said his finger actually looked smushed, and smaller when they got it out of the door.

Damn. Broken fingers hurt, I know. The little buggers don't look like they could cause much pain, but they do.

Anyway, my story is a couple of years ago in the first game of the season, I was playing footy for my team. Ball came my way, went up for the mark and the ball landed right on top of my left index finger, squashing it right under the ball. It was instantly swollen and numb, though I thought if I went off I'd find out there was nothing wrong with it, so I played out the rest of the gamr thinking it'd healp up just fine.

After the game I showed it to my mate and he goes "Oh yeah, that's broken. Probably dislocated too." He then showed me his pinky which is about two thirds of the size of his other one because he broke it when he was younger right on the growth plate.

So, off I went to school the next day with my finger padded up. Showing people that finger honestly got me a shitload more attention than I would usually get, and it was kinda cool. Hurt like an absolute bitch though. Went to the doctor with my mum, and the doctor told me it was broken based off the fact that I couldn't move the damn thing. Sent me off for an x-ray and an ultrasound on it (to see if there was any tendon damage). That sucked too, because I found out that not only was it broken (mere millimetres away from the growth plate too, which would have meant I would have needed surgery to put a needle in my finger to keep it together). The ultrasound also made me sick as all hell, and when we got home I started throwing up. >_>

Finger was meant to take a month to heal up and it ended up taking three. Probably because I was meant to not play footy at all, but instead I went to training twice a week and had only one week off playing. Yeah, I'm an idiot.

Cool thing is that now my finger is permanently bent to the side, because the bone healed up wrong. K, doesn't sound cool, but when I used to have PE I could tell my teacher my finger was broken and she'd believe me if I didn't feel like doing PE. Yeah, she's Blue.
