The person you was thinking might be but not who the story is about

Pwinsider.com is reporting that former ECW and WWE champion Rob Van Dam is backstage at the site of tonight's Royal Rumble, and he will in fact be participating in the event. Check back here for more information as it becomes available.

He won't win but I wonder if this is a sign of a return or what.

Be cool if it was he could go to ECW.

It's just a one time thing just to bring some excitement to the Royal Rumble.

*waits for people start jumping to conclusions and start talking about how cool it would be to have RVD in ECW and start talking about feuds for him in there.

Nah, most likely he will play a similiar role to the one Mick Foley did last year. Stay strong, take out a name or two, face off with an old enemy and then get eliminated.

I would wet my fucking pants if RVD returned. If he does, I expect a one-time 'Mania match.

If he returned as #25 then i'd be some type of accurate future prediction guy

imo. Don't see as too why you'd think he'd have a one-time match deal.

Wow - no idea this many people loved RVD. No big deal to me. Would not make me order this PPV (if I wasn't getting it for free) and definitely would not make me interested in ECW if he returned full time. I guess since their in Detroit, MI then its appropriate and nostalgic. Blah news.
