JR's blog reveals a Vince injury

Jim Ross has another blog up at JrsBarBQ.com, here are the highlights:

On Vince's Return Monday: "Mr. McMahon got pretty banged up from being punted by Randy Orton Monday night. Word has it the Chairman may have sustained a concussion (unconfirmed) but he did receive a cut either on or above his ear from RKO's boot laces. Ouch."

On More WWE TV Taping Changes: "No one seems to know who will be broadcasting the new WGN Superstars of Wrestling show which airs, I think, after WM25. From what I can tell, and trust me this could change, the WGN bouts will be 1st run and would likely be taped on Mondays before Raw when Raw is in the eastern and central time zones. ECW and Smackdown would then return to their Tuesday partnership. Thank God the days of the Smackdown doubleheaders are nearing an end. They are as challenging as watching the Mets die a natural death every fall. Again, this info is subject to change. Not sure of the announce talent, either, but I would LOVE to hear more of Grisham and Striker."

On Wrestling on TV: "Seems like most TV wrestling shows are striving to what is perceived to be a balance between wrestling and "entertainment." Silly me, I thought wrestling was entertainment. Short wrestling matches and lots of "cute" talk is a recipe for failure in my estimation. But then again I could be wrong."

On Smackdown Promoting The Wrestler: "There is a special feature Friday night in Smackdown on the feature film "The Wrestler." I hope to see this film before I leave Saturday evening for Detroit."

On the Hall of Fame: Hearing just bits and pieces re: the 2009 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony really has me looking forward to April 4 in Houston. Obviously Stone Cold headlining is huge but "rumblings" about the entire presentation has me more excited than any HOF event since I was inducted in 2007. If you have a chance to attend, I strongly urge you to be there.

On New Episodes of the Legends Roundtable: We taped 2 Legends Roundtable programs Tuesday night and every who participated really enjoyed themselves and opened up w/ some super conversation and told some entertaining stories. It was great hearing my mentor Cowboy Bill Watts tell a variety of tales as only he can, honestly and candidly w/ no holds barred. Dusty Rhodes was extremely optimistic about several young prospects in Florida Championship Wrestling. Apparently many of the 2nd generation youngsters are impressing the Dream.

On Interviewing Jeff Hardy: I interviewed Jeff Hardy this week and Jeff's remarks are captivating and will air on MyNetworkTV's Friday Night Smackdown this week. Jeff really hit for the cycle on this exclusive sit down discussion. I enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of this interview & would love to do more of these in the future. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed doing being a part of it. The WWE Champion really raised his stock w/ his comments.

On Smackdown Ratings: Friday Night Smackdown ratings continue to grow on MyNetworkTV. Approximately 4 million viewers tuned in last week which is another network record.

That was by far the most stiff punt Orton has handed out. He seems to take it easier on the actual wrestlers. He has given the hardest boots to Vince and Mr Cena. lol.

I saw Vince bleeded on the side of his head. It did look like he was busted open the hard way.

Yeah I honestly saw the blood and I had a feeling he did not hit it right, to the person who said he takes it easier on wrestlers, maybe its the way the others take it

Hey I'm kinda slow but...what's with the whole taping schedule thing? He mentioned double headers for Smackdown? What's all that about?

^ I believe it is where they tape two Smackdown's at the same time.

Sucks for him he got busted open the hard way but as someone said, it made it look great on tv, so that's a plus. And to gates it means that they tape two episode of Smackdown on the same day. After one taping ends, they begin tapings for the next week right after that in the same area.

I thought they only filmed one Smackdown per week? They film two TV episodes at the same show?

Not anymore. Now they tape ECW before Raw and tape two SD's at once.

That gives the SD crew a week off.

Vince probably told Orton backstage to not take it easy and make it look harder and stiff before he took it.

And who else thinks this interview with Jeff and J.R. is gonna suck after he put it over so much?

Agreed. Randy Orton made that a stronger punt deliberately.

He never works with such stiffness inside the ring. lol

That was his perfect opportunity to get any revenge on Vince for anything that he's done to him. And the good thing about it is, he can't get penalized for it as he did what he was suppose to.

Vince has always gone out of his way to sacrifice his own body in order to get something over. Hell he's nearly killed himself quite a few times at PPV's. I'm betting he planned for Randy to punt his head to the moon as well.

The answer to your next question is obviously yes. Jeff freaking Hardy couldn't order fries at a drive through if he wanted, he's that bad on the mic.
