A Rumble and a Revelation

~Sypnosis~

This BTB is the happening after the Royal Rumble. It shows the WWE attempt to change it’s product, and turn it into something revolutionary. So Vince McMahon returned at the Royal Rumble. A lot of changes have been made and that is it I guess. Now let’s begin.

~Armageddon~

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. Chris Jericho
John Cena displayed exactly why he is the champion and overcame the odds again, defeating Jericho, and retaining the World Heavyweight Championship via. An FU.
John Cena def. Chris Jericho @16.56 to retain the World Heavyweight Championship

WWE Champion Edge vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H (Triple Threat)
In a memorable Triple Threat, Jeff Hardy delivered a Swanton Bomb to Edge, securing the win, or so he though. In the dyeing `moments of the cover, the referee, so close to slamming his hand against the mat for the third, was pulled from the ring, by none other, than Triple H. HHH then proceeded to beat the ref to a bloody pulp, disqualifying himself leaving Edge to retain his title. The crowd were confused, and disappointed, but it all became clear, when HHH entered the ring, and lifted Edge to his feet, as both men celebrate, with Jeff Hardy in the corner of the ring, resting on the turnbuckle, wondering why all this happened.
Edge def. Jeff Hardy and Triple H @23.23 via. DQ to retain the WWE Championship

Batista vs. Randy Orton
In a match that would probably secure a shot at the World Title for the winner, Batista and Randy Orton came to a draw, when both men were rendered unable to continue after Batista and randy both went through the Spanish Announce Table.
Batista and Randy Orton came to a draw @14.36

ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov
ECW Champion Matt Hardy lost to the Moscow Mauler Vladimir Kozlov after he drove Hardy’s lifeless body into the turnbuckle, as hard as he could. Hardy is suspected to have broken many ribs.
Vladimir Kozlov def. Matt Hardy @6.43

Finlay vs. Mark Henry (Belfast Brawl)
In a violent Belfast Brawl, Finlay came out on top, after hitting Henry over the head with the Shileleigh over server times. Henry suffered great blood loss.
Finlay def. Mark Henry @7.12

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk - Intercontinental Title Tournament Finals
In a match of the year candidate, CM Punk finally put Mysterio away after hitting a GTS. Mysterio put up a great fight, but in the end, it was not enough. Both men shook hands afterwards.
CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio @8.19 to get a shot at the Intercontinental Title

At this point only six men remain, Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton.
Elimination 24: Umaga by Undertaker
Taker choke slammed Umaga out of the ring.
Elimination 25: Undertaker by John Morrison
The new guy, ‘Fallen Angel’ Hade Vansen made his way to the ring, and brutalized Undertaker, with another 4 men, like we have never seen before. All Morrison needed to do was to push him over the ropes, and he did so with ease.
Elimination 26: Shawn Michaels by John Morrison
Morrison continues to impress eliminating Shawn Michaels, seconds after he enters the ring.
Elimination 27: Chris Jericho by John Morrison
Morrison once again impresses eliminating Chris Jericho.
Elimination 28: John Morrison by Randy Orton
The way Morrison was going, he was sure fire to win the match, but Randy got him form behind, seconds after his elimination of Jericho.
Elimination 29: Randy Orton by Jeff Hardy
Orton, standing over the battered Hardy, lifts him up to his feet, and throws him out of the ring with ease. Hardy, stood on the apron, takes massive amounts of punishment, but when it comes down to the final blow, he moves out of the way, as Orton falls forward leaning on the ropes. Hardy grabs Orton by the arm, and flips him over, as Orton goes crashing to the floor.
Winner: Jeff Hardy

World Heavyweight Champion John Cena vs. Batista
In a blockbuster showdown, Batista and John Cena came to a controversial ending. John Cena put Batista in the STFU. Batista, on the brink of tapping, suddenly rolled over, so Cena’s shoulder’s were on the mat. The referee made a three count, and Batista tapped at the exact same time, the ref hit the mat for the third count. Mr. McMahon then came down to the ring, and announced that Batista and John Cena are co-owners of the World Heavyweight Championship!
Unknown ending @19.59

WWE Champion Edge vs. Triple H
If Triple H helped Edge win at Armageddon, he would get a shot at Edge’s Championship. When it came down to it, Triple H was screwed like Jeff Hardy. When the ref had his back turned, Edge struck HHH with the title belt, and picked up the win.
Edge def. Triple H @15.32 to retain the WWE Championship

~Changes~

The changes in the above are explained here. On WWE.com, after the Royal Rumble, Mr. McMahon sent out a statement saying that tons of superstars on the rosters will be released, the rosters will be re-thought, all current General Managers are stripped from there position, PPV events, will be brand exclusive, The Wrestling Classic will replace Judgement Day and No Mercy and No Way Out have switched places, the Females have all been released thus making the Divas Championship and Womens Championship defunct and the Tag Team Championships have been united, making the undisputed Tag Team Championships that will be contested over on ECW. All Tag Teams are heading to ECW as well. Next, the ECW Championship has become defunct. ECW is now a Tag Team Brand only. Finally, the night after Armageddon, CM Punk beat Regal to win the IC Title.

The results are pretty good. The ECW/Tag Team thing is different. I wouldn't watch it but it might be successful. The rosters are pretty good. Jeff Hardy Main Eventing 'Mania? Okay.

Let's see what you got.

Looks good. I'll be reviewing.
Just unsure how Edge retained at Armageddon via DQ?? No DQ's in a Triple Threat I thought...

This looks good, and I'll be sure to read the first show. I just felt that the rosters were a tad small, but I guess with running all 3 shows it doesn't matter. Plus everyone can be used.

Good luck!

Results looked good, and I look forward to reading all three brands. ECW intrigues me, and it might or might not work. We shall see.

Seems kinda rushed. The ECW idea is innovative, but I can't see it working. I'm not really liking the changes to the roster either.

Oh, and I belive you meant No Mercy, not No Way Out in October. :p

Ahk. Also, taking away diva's is :n:, imo. It's a copout.

A cop out is exactly what it is. I don't want to write with divas. It is not fun neither is it enjoyable for readers.

This looks like a good start. I really don't like that you released all of the diva's (Oh well they can look for jobs at other BTB's lol). I'll be reading when you post your first show.

^ Spamtastic!

The thread looks good. The triple threat at Armageddon dissappointed me in the make no sense ending, and also Jeff Hardy not winning. Though you made up for it at the Royal Rumble. John Morrison lasting so long really made no sense as he isn't even main event status yet.

^^That doesn't mean anything. Every Rumble they always have a surprise long-lasting superstar.
