Hmmm, Steenerico vs. Triple X. Thas a awesome match, i didn't see that coming. I think those two teams would work well together. I'm also a big Omega fan. I still can't believe the wwe lets go of guys like that, but yet DJ Gabirelle get pushed. Thats beyond me.

ANyone ordering anything from the black friday sale 35-40% off everything expect gift cards and subscriptions. I actually bought some stuff thursday night. THey had 20% off the big ten sale. So i got Rising Above 07, Undeniable, and Final Battle 07. 8 bucks and 2 of these aren't even a year old yet. I'll probably order some ticks and Glory by honor too.

Yeah, I was quite the fan of Triple X (well, not their fail second run), so I would really like to see that match given a chance. It's not ever going to happen, but I can dream.

I guess the Omega/Gabrielle comparison just goes to show that roids definitely help find you a push in WWE.

As for the sale, I still haven't got my mum to order the Christmas stuff, so if I can get her own tomorrow morning (yay for timezones), I should definitely be able to use that to cash in for five extra DVD's for Chrissy. Thanks for telling me about that.

Well the two shows I had downloading both had no sound, and after checking my computer thoroughly it stayed like that. So could you guys give me ideas on shows to buy in this sale coming up?

I'm looking for 5-6 shows.

Im assuming its a AVI. file??? If so try another media player. I have a VLC media player, and that pretty much plays anything. Sometimes AVI. files have no sound on Windows media player, sometimes they do.

As far as the sale goes..... My top 6 picks for someone to get introduced to the ROH.

1) Driven 07 6.23.07 - ROH's second PPV. The first was more of a introduction to ROH, this got kinda got down to business. Some of the best fueds were featured on this show. Danielson vs Nigel for the belt. Briscoes vs Steenerico.

2) Man Up 9.15.07 - ROH's 3rd PPV. Probably my favorite PPV. Well booked storyline show.

3) Supercard of Honor III 3.29.08 ROH's verison of Wrestlemania. SOH showcase the biggest fueds, and this show is stacked up very highly rated matches.

4) Death Before Dishonor 6 8.2.08 One of the biggest ROH shows this year, at the Hammerstein ballroom.

5) Better than our Best 4.1.06 - Not that recent, but my my favorite ROH show of all time.

6) Glory by Honor 7 9.20.08 ROH's newest show, and i've seen some raving reviews about it.

If you want to stick with this year, and have all the shows follow a storyline... I'd go with:

1) 6th Anniversary Show 2.23.08
2) Supercard of Honor III 3.30.08
3) A New Level 5.10.08
4) Vendetta II 6.28.08
5) Death Before Dishonor 8.2.08
6) Glory BY Honor 7 9.20.08

ROH has a pretty good sale going at the moment. Buy 3 DVDS get 2 Free. Which basically means 5 new dvds for 68$ out of the door (american) I just picked up Glory by Honor 7, Death before Dishonor 6, Driven 08, New Horizons, and Age of Insanity.

Does anyone else get the feeling the midcard of ROH is fading fast? When TNA pulled their talent, ROH took the blow as if nothing happened. But now with guys like, Rocky Romero, Jack Evans, BJ Whitmer, and Davey Richards leaving ROH, they havent done enough to fill in the voids. Jigsaw hasn't been on a show in the past 3 months. Ruckus hasn't been around much. (not that i'm mad) Albright and Stevens are now being used as a tag team (Which im ok with) Will this problem get worse in 09 when some contracts are up??

They've added Lynn, Kenny King, and Kenny OMega as regulars along with the students. However I'm seeing a trend of too much medocrity. The students hurt the show, more than help (except Rhett) The problem is they try and use the students too much. Grizzy, Sugarfoot, Ernie, are not over. If anything Shane Hagadorn and Dempsey are move over than those. But thats another story.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I've certainly noticed how much the students are on the shows. And the PPV's. We could be seeing Jack Evans and Davey Richards going at it, but instead we have sit through 5 minutes of a bullshit match or Rhett teasing Delirious. But hey, someone's gotta set the foundations for the future.

Agreed. And it is only going to get worse from here on in. Next year a shitload of contracts expire, don't they? I can see people looking to leave (I wouldn't be surprsied if Dragon went part time and looked for other opportunities, same goes with Nigel and The Briscoes), meaning people will have to be pushed to the main event, leaving the midcard even weaker.

ROH need to do something about this.

Well Pearce has pretty much phased out all the midcard stables, and we're left with the AOTF, and now most of the midcarders and just coming from FIP anyway. But someone definitely has to head down and help them. Aries maybe?

AOTF is about to end too. They really need to bring a lot more new talent in from the indys.

Agreed, there's just one problem. This isn't 99 or 2000, when there was a SHITLOAD of young talent making waves in the independent scene (Styles, Super Dragon, Joe, Punk, Daniels). Right now, there's not a lot of talent available in the indy scene. Every fed has 1 or 2 guys that stand out, but the rest are scrubs.

I mean, they're using Lynn, but he's not exactly young. I would say that they should use CHIKARA talent, but Brodie Lee, The Osirian Portal, Super Smash Bros, among others have been used in ROH recently.

Fact is, the indy scene as a whole is in a bit of a dry spell at the moment, and ROH looks like it'll be the one that suffers the most because of that.

ROH just need to concentrate on staying afloat at the moment, they should be looking into employing some former WWE talents, who don't expect much money, and who are just happy to wrestle.
