The word backstage at the TNA iMPACT! tapings tonight in Orlando is that the company will be introducing a new championship title belt soon. While the specifics are not yet known, the title belt is rumored to be a "legends" title and will be introduced by Booker T.

Well how about that? *Yawn*

TNA titles look like wrestling toys tbh. So a new one wont make any difference really. Its just a cheap way to try to make new things in that cheap ass business :p Yeah lets just hope that they dont try to be "copy cats" and make a spinning belt for a while >_>

its probably got to do something with the New breed vs. Old people and Sting and Booker and everyone on the old team have to have gold and the new guy shave to take it off of them.

I called there being a new title 2 weeks ago as the major announcement at bound for glory. When Booker started carrying round that briefcase it was predictable. The only problem i have with the new title is the name.

Because they really need another title to focus on as opposed to the X-Division title, which should be their bread and butter.

Oh, so they can give it to all their legends such as Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett right? >_>

Lol, no, but seriousley, even though I don't watch TNA, I don't like the idea, because it just seems unneeded. Legends title? Meh

As it has been rumored, TNA will be introducing a 5th title into the promotion. It will be held and introduced to the promotion by Booker T, and will be called "The Legend's Championship." This plays into the angle that they have been running where Booker T has a briefcase, and has been claiming to reveal the contents at the proper time. Booker will defend the title against younger talents he feels he's above and other "Legends," basically it will be similar to the old "Million Dollar Belt" that Ted DiBiase held. TNA took possession of the title during the Bound for Glory weekend. The title was designed by Rico Mann and built by Dave Millican and Reggie Parks.

Ahhhh....I still don't like it.

It seems more like a gimmick title, like the "Beer Drinking Championship" that we saw earlier this year.

I was thinking more of a Has-Been title but since it's being considered like the Million Dollar Belt, I guess it's not for every has-been. Lance Hoyt might get a title shot finally!

I would love the idea of a mid-card championship belt, but 'Legends' championship?

Like has been said, let's name it the 'Former WWE or WCW Superstar' title and call it a day.

The sad thing is, TNA say WWE so often in their broadcast, that calling it the 'EX-WWE' Championship would hardly make any difference.
