THE Brian Kendrick's Biceps

Well, in a result I sure as hell didn't expect (until Nash walked down the ramp >_>), we saw Sting become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Now I have to ask .... why? Why does anyone want to see Sting as Champion?

THe guy was meant to turn heel, but he can't cut a heel promo to save himself. Joe is getting more heel heat than him. Whoever's brainwave it was to give Sting the belt should be taken out back, and put out of their misery, IMO.

Opinions on Sting, and him being Champ?

I think this is a way for TNA to give Sting a farewell present if he decides to not re-sign with the company.

I don't know what led you to believe that Joe is meant to be the face and Sting is meant to be the wrong, but your observation is incorrect. Neither man was supposed to go into Bound For Glory in any distinct position, and the match itself actually put Joe over as the heel and Sting as the face. Not many faces would shake the hand of a legend, only to headbutt him unexpectedly.

But you see Jeff Jarrett talk about Joe and AJ Styles and put them over as big babyfaces in his promos against Angle. Styles and Joe are on the same sack and AJ is a full blown face.

Vince Russo didn't learn his lesson. One of the reasons the New Blood vs Millionaire's Club feud failed was because they had the young boys as the heels...sounds familiar?

...people are already turning on this storyline

Well, I have no idea where TNA's main event scene is going. I don't know if I could have taken Joe still champ after BFG, but I am not too sure if Sting as champ is a good thing either. That's why I disliked the main event for the past 6 months, because there was no point at all. Sure it was a decent match, I saw it live, it was pretty fun, but from a booking point of view...WTF! Who would have interference at you "Mania" main event? Why are you trying to make Sting untouchable at BFG? He is old and he is a hair away from leaving TNA. Who is going against Sting now that there's no Rematch Clause? AJ? He lost at BFG. Christian? He lost at BFG. Booker won, but he is heel, WTF! Jarrett? Who thinks Jarrett vs. Sting...again? I sure don't.

Well aparently Sting is only holding the belt at best for one or two months a ppv or two because they do't plan on giving it to him for long but they want him to have a streak at Bound For Glory where he is undefeated almsot like The Undertaker is to Wrestlemania they want that PPV to be his one.

He is currently 3 - 0 at BFG.

:thefinger_red: Fuck you TNA.

'Taker won his first match at WrestleMania when he was in late 20's, not his late 40's.

Thing is, Undertaker was actively wrestling during his streak. And he didn't win the title 3 consequtive years in which he wrestled hardly any matches.

TNA have serious fucking mental retardation if they think in any way, shape or form Sting getting the belt was a good idea. CMS said it best, one of the main reasons the New Blood vs Millionaires Club failed was the young'ins played the heels.

AJ, Joe (funnily the only young blood TNA created themselves, that says a lot about the company) & Jarrett are already full blown faces. Kurt Angle, Boooker T, Sting, all already heels. So what is the point of this 'everyone is a tweener' bullshit? The fans have to have someone to get behind, someone to boo and everything works much better that way.

Sting as a champion is pure stupidity in a can. Transitional reign? Why fuck up your biggest PPV Main Event of the year with a screwy finish and the most undeserving TNA star winning the belt? Why not at Turning Point, or on Impact? TNA's logic confuses me a lot these days.

I think what they need to do now is run a storyline between AJ Styles and Sting, have it span a few months, the battle for respect once more.

Eventually it will lead to Sting retiring, each will have earned each others respect and Sting will leave TNA in the able hands of AJ Styles.

However TNA probably will do something stupid, like give the title to Booker T.

I talked about this with of my friends and this is how I see it..

As bad as Sting winning the title is..It can add more fire and all that to this whole young vs old...new school old school...w/e you wanna call it...it adds to the storyline as now we see Nash has joined up with the Old guys are the Vets so to say....and from the looks of the PPV Mick is on the side of the young guys...

Now lets see with the talk of Angle and Mick having there little stuff both of them are out of the picture for the title...which is a good thing..

ok and Joe can't have a rematch...and Booker T is on Sting's side and I know TNA has done stupid stuff but I don't seem them doing that..

The only logic choice is AJ Styles seeing as they have a past in the storyline also...So they fight it out for a while...with AJ winning the title in the end...and then Christian makes his choice of what side to be on with him picking the vets sparking yet another feud between AJ and Christian yet this one has more on the line as AJ will be champion...after a few months Christian wins the TNA Title from AJ....by this time the whole old vs new thing should be wrapping up...leaving any and all feuds open...so from there Cage is free to feud with really anyone....

^ that would be pretty awesome but I really dont see it happening, beginning with the reason that AJ Styles lost at BFG. Now Sting will probably feud with someone not worthy like Matt Morgan or Abyss. Booker T's briefcase could have something to do with it all. It pains me to say but I see Sting v Jarrett again.

We all know what's going to happen:

TNA will feed us with a tag team match as our main event in a PPV instead of a World Championship, have Joe and Styles go over and so they can build from there.

As for Sting winning the belt, it sucks, but you know, if they truly wanted to have Sting with the belt and Nash screw Joe:

1) Why did they add the stupid no rematch clause? We all know that there will be a rematch, so it makes no sense,

2)Have Samoa Joe win at BFG

3) Book Joe vs Sting at iMPACT, not only you draw big ratings, but you book your stupid run in ending.

WWE knows how to do this kind of things perfectly. See Edge vs Taker, they had Taker win the belt at WM24 as a pure crowd pleaser. Then...they did the actual angle they wanted, with Edge as the champion.

It's disappointing. It really is.

TNA has the potential, but things like this really sink it lower.
