First person to tell me why it won't happen gets 500 rep points added directly to their sheet.

It won't happen alright, it's because the earth is too heavy/big to be sucked into a tiny black hole. The chances of having the black hole are little to none, even if a black hole drills into our planet it would be so small that it can't suck the entire earth into space....

How's that? :v:

I just read some of this internet artical on it

Here is what I understand-

- Apparently it costed 10 Billion dollars to make and it took th elast fourteen years to make it too

- Its the biggest and most expensive machine in the world right now

- Apparently they named it the Big Bang collider or something along the lines of that because it can dig more than 230 Killometres underground and find fossils and stones that are near the center of the earth which in that "earthquake eruption" would possibly kill all of us-

Don't quote me on that= I read it on a site- It may be false so yea, thats apparently what it said.

or we just get sucked into another dimension in one peice exactly left like nothign happened without even feeling anything... just like a purple flash we are in another dimension and I am still typing this post just Earth is moved place to place but we are still cool and living on it?

If particle collisions at the LHC had the power to destroy the Earth, we would never have been given the chance to exist, because regular interactions with more energetic cosmic rays would already have destroyed the Earth.

Well Monk= do you know the answer or are you just going to say NOPE and just mess with us ?

And by the way, cosmic ray collisions are far more energetic than those in the LHC that are gonna be created, but they can't produce vacuum space or dangerous magnetic monopoles, then why fear the LHC?

lol to hell with it.

They are not even planning on starting the process of actually coliding the particles until the twenty-first of October.

Hmmmm, let's see...

Nature has already conducted the equivalent of about a hundred thousand LHC experimental programmes on Earth - and the planet still exists. The Cosmic Rays are continually bombarding other planets in the Solar System, if they were to pose a threat, this universe won't exist? Fast-moving black holes produced by cosmic rays will stop inside the Earth itself and we aren't going to be in danger.
