Never said all of that I was just responded to Smark saying it would make Swerve look good to beat him
Like a main event of Dynamite the week or two after DoN would be tops for me then have another program emerge for Swerve
I think it would. I’m not saying it would be the biggest bump ever but like the average fan sitting at home still thinks size matters. You look like Brian Cage and you look at swerve and you think Brian should be able to absolute bat swerve from pillar to post. People like that swerve comes in as the underdog he gets the win and it makes him look more credible to those specific fans.
All that being said, I just think the angle they shot last night and with their history as a unit would just be a fire match.
After that assault, and with how over swerve is as a baby face right now, the heat would be there, and the fans would be with it, and they would be wanting Brian’s blood.
Anyways, we’ll see where it goes. They have so many options right now with swerve it’s crazy. I really hope they let this title reign breathe.
I mean, even that would be enough for me, as it be better than nothing. I don’t think it’s gonna be a pay-per-view main event just because there’s not gonna be a pay-per-view until all win anyways but like I don’t know blood or guts maybe I think it’s coming up.
I get it though. I’ve been on this brian Cage island a long time.

I’ll be honest I don’t think AEW until very recently booked Brian Cage very well and if I only ever saw him on AEW television, I probably wouldn’t be a fan either. I saw him though when he was booked like a fucking monster in lucha underground. They were able to do ECW and they were able to book around his limitations and accentuate his strength. And then impact also treated him like a big deal, and I liked what he did there as well although he wasn’t quite as much, but he was still a main event player.

LU was a different animal though as fun as it was it was all soap opera and shenanigans
It certainly was, but even outside of those they were able to do very similarly I would say to what ECW could do and they took a bunch of wrestlers and they made them feel like big deals like even just through the wrestling. Like Brian Cage destroyed fools down there also that’s where I became a fan of pentagon junior as well.
And funnily enough when Don Callis first took over impact with Scott they brought up a lot of LU wrestlers and they were treated fairly similarly up there. Brian Cage pentagon Jr Karrion Kross Johnny tv moose lotta good stuff that first year of their book.
I miss LU though. Speaking of.
Santos Escobar was also so awesome in LU.
